Matty is extremely intelligent and talented af! Like, I'm always speechless, always impressed with how well articulated and good with words he is! Few ppl can write songs like him, he was really gifted with writing/songwriting at birth and I'm glad he get to share his amazing talent with us and the world. To me, 1975 has the best lyrics of music nowadays. Their lyrics are really rich, unique and peculiar (As matty said "we're a weird band, but not weird artists") - they touch our souls, that's why i freaking love this band so much! ILYSM Matty! ❤️

i still haven't chosen my favorite song from the album but this one. oh man, this one is a strong candidate. i adore this song so much. when matty said he recorded the vocals for it the day before he went to rehab it broke my heart even more. it has such a different type of emotion attached to it. everything about this song is my favorite thing in the whole world. so beautiful, so sad, so moving. im so glad i know this band and i get to listen to such masterpiece. thank you matty, thank you the 1975.

This song is slowly becoming my favourite from this record. In the past year I've become a little disillusioned with this band for many reasons but a big factor has been a shift in the fanbase and how they perceive the band as well as each other. They're still my favourite band and have been for a long time, but "the 1975" as a whole no longer feels like a safe space or a place to gain inspiration as it begins to lack in realism. This song is making up for it. It's a comforting reminder that the relationship I have with this band is an exchange of confessions rather than a reliance on a concept that exists outside of my own view of it.
