i think you understood that this song is about someone whose dying, and afraid (she's praying Jesus), looking backward her deeds, her life, her loves, before going up where she don't need any of her possessions. That's why it's so emotional and the fans are crying.... Mylène used it to the last song of this concert, leaving it.
Just for information, the curtain is made of water on which we see mylene's face

Oh my gracious. This song! The sound! So hauntingly beautiful. I eventually just laid back in my chair and closed my eyes and let myself take it in. I did not want to stop listening to her. I love this kind of music because it takes my mind off the stresses of the day and lets me retreat into another world. And such a fabulous response, Cynthia! Your connection to Mylene and this song was almost empathic. My emotions were stirred as well. This is why I love your reactions so much! Hello, she sang this song during 13 nights for her tour in Paris. It is very emotional. She said to God, that she accepts everything that happens to her in her past. She scared of what will happen in her future days, but she told Him she is ready to leave the Earth when He desired! Then she goes up with stairs (it is a metaphor: she is joined the light/sky/Heaven) and the door closed (that is her tomb)! Very emotional but also very strong. She did a song "C'est une Belle journée" ("That is such a nice day"). It is very pessimist but maybe you can react to her live 2013. Or maybe "Optimistique moi" (video clip or live 1999)!

hello Cynthia, don't worry, your first reaction was very good too but it's true that all the émotions are in this video! she takes off her dress to present herself before the Lord in all humility. This song is stunning, the most emotional I have ever heard.
Notice also that she's wearing gold underneath the red ensemble. So when she removes the red on the stairway to heaven, she's revealing her alignment with the Sun/Son. The symbolism is just overwhelmingly beautiful. One can't help but feel the deep emotion & humility of the message when you notice & realize the symbolism interwoven throughout the performance.

In late 2025 I travel an endless loop. Korea. China. Japan. Korea....to fund this I'll sell everything I own for I am not coming back. The one thing which will be tough to sell is my Mylene collection - I have all her DVDs and the majority pf her CDs.She and Hako Yamasaki. My only reluctances.

I saw this twice live... I attended two shows from that residency (it was a residency and not a tour, cuz of the complexity of the decorations). was a bit funny to see her not being able to take off the dress easily the second time i saw it ;) The water was amazing at the end!
