Avant que l’ombre is definitely considered her best exit by many fans. The visuals are breathtaking - water curtains, words & figures made from water, the golden gates which were especially built for those 13 concerts, the stairs, the chandeliers in the background.. everything about the stage was more than perfect really. It is both visually, lyrically and melodically, a true masterpiece. The stage budget for this concert was 20 million €
When walking up the stairs, it’s as if she’s going to give herself up (for her sins), you can hear something close to church bells in the background too. She removes the outfit to give herself as she was ‘born’ to give herself fully and without anything but her. It’s very symbolic. The lyrics are her most religious ones to date, one of her best texts.

Yep it was actual water pouring down. It was a world premiere to use this water curtain in a live performance that can form letters ans shapes.
The production for this show was so huge that it could not tour and was a 13 dates residency.

Hello! as you say it is filled with emotion and it takes you to the guts.
the song is about a woman on the verge of death, she tells us about her fears and looks back on her life. then she decides to follow the path to the beyond and takes off her dress to introduce herself to the creator. the chorus is "jesus j'ai peur" who means "jesus i'm afraid"

I think it's a valid interpretation but the meaning is more open ended than that. Which is a great thing with Mylene's songs in general : open ended meanings. This one certainly takes a knack at conservative Christianity, though : "Jesus is NOT your OWN !!!" BOOM.
