Daytime Live ran in the BBC1 lunchtime spot that was occupied for many years by Pebble Mill / Pebble Mill At One, so this clip is sometimes labelled as being from Pebble Mill. While it was recorded at the BBC Pebble Mill studios, in 1990 it would have aired as part of Daytime Live and in fact Alan Titchmarsh mentions the programme name in his stumbling introduction. From Wikipedia : "In 1986, Bill Cotton, managing director of television at the BBC, decided that a full daytime service was required on BBC1. As part of this new service, the decision was taken by BBC1 controller Michael Grade to replace Pebble Mill at One with a new lunchtime news bulletin, the One O'Clock News. Over 30,000 viewers wrote to the BBC to complain. A previous Assistant Editor of the programme, Roger Laughton (later to become a senior executive with the BBC and Meridian Broadcasting) was given responsibility for planning the BBC's new daytime schedule but the format did not reappear until the following year, returning on 21 October 1987 as Daytime Live. It was renamed as Scene Today in October 1990 and finally Pebble Mill in October 1991. None of these programmes were broadcast at 1:00 pm - they were aired in the hour preceding the One O'Clock News."

I could really fall in love with this beautiful voice and wonderful band. Oh wait, I already did in 1988.
Where has the time gone...
One of my favourite bands ❤ great memories ❤
Very beautiful memories of one of the best albums I’ve ever heard.
Remember this when it aired, still as wonderful now as it was then , Where have the years gone ?
To see this band reform would mean the world to me,ive been a fan from the early days to now and still listen to their music daily
Julianne and Tim are so perfect together; so glad they are back together making music
Wait...what?
@@rustybuckets07 yup! album just came out recently
What an amazing band.
❤❤thankyou for finding this gem
holy moly pebble mill live at one! that brings back memories
Wow the 80s are over 😢 in to the 90s 😮 and it's April already 😮
I wonder where Ric Sanders was hiding with the electric violin? Behind the sofa, perhaps.
I must confess that I’ve never been that keen on Scarlet era videos (live or promotional) because JR always looks so run down in all of them. This one is not an exception although, to be fair, it is a hell of a lot better in this regard than the official video for Scarlet.
I do think it's funny than being on this program as most of our friends will have been at work or school😂. Say mom told you they were good
I must have been either having the day off work or been off ill . I also hated daytime tv and was usually out and about or.in my room. My mum was.probably watching it and i must have been in the room and heard they were.going to be on . I can definitely remember waiting to record it on the vcr haha 😅
Fantastic Band...its a disgrace that they were seemingly ruined by the TOTP gaf when every single act mimed back in the day. And some acts even played on it sometimes...ie, Fish from Marillion who had a "sore" throat; so he did the Bob Dylan trick of pulling away large sheets of paper with the lyrics of the song being played back!
