Bill Spooner one of my favorite guitarist and vocalist from The Tubes added great chemistry into the band after leaving however Fee Waybill carried on and did quite well on Bill Spooner songs from The Tubes
...it just never gets old and it never will..the world is a better place because of the Tubes..I don't worship them or any of that shit .but man..this band..boy do they lay it down..nothings better than FZ..they are fans of his..so was P-FUNK..that's why all this music is so good..rock and roll yes..but also very,very high art...

Saw them live for the first time in 20 years ,Nov 17 in the UK and that tore up the stage that night! absoultely epic!! if Bill Spooner would have walked out as a guest musician though...jees yes!
Wish the original film could be released in high quality. Amazing band, quite underated as the stage show took most attention, but they were skilled musicians that worked great together as a band

nice to see Mingo Lewis here on congas/percussion . imho they should have made him a permanent member . as an addition , certainly not as a replacement for Prairie Prince on drums
He did fill in on drums when he got sick I’m told. And yes he should have been a full member. He has a solo album you need to check out called “flight never ending”.
A good example of why recording at the Greek is ifffy at best. Basically it's a great place to see live but recording there sucks. Anyone know why they can't dial in the sound there? The only recording I ever heard from the Greek that rocked it was Bob Marley I think it was 1974?
