I definitely favor this Snufkin over the 90s and more recent 2019 iterations, mainly because of how much more express he is here, with how he doesn't tend to speak much and definitely shows more through actions rather than words, It makes those moments when he does speak or when we get an idea of what he's thinking that much more personal and enticing, that and this version had this huge thing about helping Moomin, he'd do ANYTHING if it made Moomin happy and went out of his way to do so multiple times, makes em even more shippable and even just platonically adorable

I’ve never seen this version of the Moomins before apart from a picture of MoominPappa holding a gun, which I thought was a joke. I’m way more familiar with the 90s version (Adventures From Moominvalley) and I’ve seen only a snippet of the 2019 version (Moominvalley) out of context. I’ve also seen a few pages of the book “Moomins & The Great Flood.” The 1972 version is so interesting and sort of strange to see. I do enjoy the colors of Snufkin’s outfit though and Moomintroll looks adorable, as always. The voice acting is nice too, I really like Moomintroll’s voice and Snufkin sounds great too. It’s also interesting to see Snufkin playing the guitar instead of a harmonica. To be honest, the scene where the bat bit him gave me shivers (because I didn’t expect to see blood or a bat biting him for that matter, although I’m not really that squeamish) and the amulet scene almost made me cry. This version seems more dramatic and in depth & that’s really fascinating to me. Very interesting version of the beloved Moomins indeed.
The bat episode felt like it was about two lovers separated from each other near the end. I can't- I love this series so much. I love all the older iterations actually, especially the 60s one, that one made me feel like I was about to burst a kidney from laughing so much.
Why do I always get the feeling that he trigger happy. Like any moment he is about to pull guns and replicate Lethal weapon. (I half expected him to bash somebody's head with his guitar)

@@jade_love_frieswhen a show like this shows blood it is to pass a strong meaning, blood is rare and used carefully. as i read from comments people thought that the bat that snufkin was carrying could turn people into vampires and to moomin prove snufkin is innocent he let the bat bite even though there would be a risk. the blood in my interpretation is symbolic of the care moomin have to snufkin being willing to do such a sacrifice unknowing if he would be a vampire or not, just so he can prove snufkin innocent. is a symbol of sacrifice for who you love and i find this scene in particular beautiful, i am someone like moonintroll irl and i deeply relate to him.
