Just goes to show that the world is a lot bigger than just John Deere and Kubota. Lot's of great tractors out there for a lot less money. I had a John Deere for 14 years and recently sold it for a new BOBCAT tractor. The John Deere was a great tractor and I liked it even with its many imperfections. Yup, it certainly wasn't perfect. Last year, I decided to look at other tractors and was surprised what I could get for a fraction of the price without compromising on quality and service. My new tractor is running well and yes the service people are great. Love your videos and your unique approach. Your a real teacher with a fabulous spark of humor.
Thank for the kind comment! I really appreciate that. Yes those popular brands have some unpopular prices but the competition is starting to offer just as much and more for less money. I think LS and TYM will become more and more popular in the coming years. Keep on tractoring!
A few years ago when I was looking for a little more HP, I stumbled on an LS dealer. When I found out I could get a cab with AC/Heat for less than the open station green one, I nervously traded my green for blue. NO regrets! The LS has been very good to me and the dealer is pretty amazing to work with.
We have an LS and TYM(?) dealer about 10 miles from the house. They basically gave us a brochure, told us the backhoe was another $6k and to come back if we were ready to buy. Small town mentality since the next nearest dealers are about 45 miles each way. Drove one direction to look at green machines. It was a windy day and salesman wouldn’t come outside to tell us about features. They make much more money on big green machines. The next morning drove 45 in the opposite direction to look at Kubota. They were offering a package deal with box blade. We added a grappler and made the deal for less than LS+backhoe. No regrets although I now know we should have added pallet forks while they had 0% financing.
I do Remember That Some One Start His Channel and he also Had these LS Tractors and They Are Truly OUTSTANDING Very Well Made ( My Mahindra Dealer Has Them in my town !!! ) and they are Cast Iron Made 😇👌👍💪Very Nice Mahindra Tractor Cheers 🍻🍻
They keep growing those darn kids! Wish they’d stay little forever. You’re going to see some video with Brynlee being the camera girl soon. She did a pretty good job too! Keep on tractoring!
I have a similar tractor New Holland Boomer 40 (cab model). Been really impressed with it. Just wish I had dealer support nearby and not 120 miles away.
Never know what you're gonna' stumble across along the back roads! Love that all you have to do is prompt and the girls just wrap it up on the first take...real pros! 👍😎
Love the way your daughters interact with you and your tractor comments. You make it so that later in life, they'll know mechanical stuff and not get ripped off by anyone. Kudos to you, Jon.
@@ritterjon Just like my Mom who taught her boys, house cleaning, cooking, basic washing skills, etc. We got education from both and each had its own virtue.
I bought an LS 33 hp. No problems whatsoever. Sold it and got a 40 hp LS. No regrets. No problems. I think you get a whole lot of Tractor with great quality for a fair price. Really like my LS. Also John Deere 50 hp. But unbiased I like my 40 hp LS most.
I just saw an MT2-25S yesterday. It's enough to drool over. Three range transmission and almost 1100 lbs of FEL lift capacity. 1900 lbs of 3 point hitch capacity! Similar footprint of B2601 or JD 2025. 🤯 That's how you make a tractor 💪
I like LS tractors but there are none around my area in Western Pa. I’ve turned my back on Kubota as they want me to spend $2143.00 on a new wiring kit for a $20.00 part!!
@@ritterjon yes I traded it. I would come in from using it that’s all I could smell. Wasn’t burning right. But they couldn’t fix it. So. I got rid of it
I just purchased a 2016 New Holland Boomer 24 which was made by LS a Korean tractor manufacturer. I bought it used with only 100 hours on it from a LS dealer with a 60" snowblower and a softcab because that's all my budget would allow. The tractor is almost identical to the ones you were looking at and the 25 HP Kubota model that you operate on a daily bases. Mine is powered by a 25 HP Mitsubishi S3L2 diesel providing 18.5 PTO HP, but understand that the current LS line is powered by a Yanmar engine that provide similar stats. I had seriously been looking at the LS line for a couple of years when the NH surfaced. Too good of a deal to pass up. I replaced a 1996 Ford New Holland 1715 with it as I was looking for a hydro unit and front PTO. While the 1715 was a little stouter 27HP, 23PTO and a foot wider, I find this smaller unit more than adequate for my 20 acre property. I live in the northern tip of the lower peninsula of Michigan where we see an average snowfall of around 140" so the 60" snowblower will be a blessing. I sold my 60" brushhog and purchased a Betstco EFG125 based partially on your experiences with it. I've put about 20 hours on it so far and find it far superior to the brushhog in every way. Getting back to the LS.. it's an extremely well made tractor with a strong dealer network..and all NH Boomer series parts fit it too. Cheers!
That’s a lot of snow! I bet you really enjoy having the snowblower. Also glad to hear you’re happy with the flail mower. I’m going to need to research more of the similarities and differences the LS and New Holland have. I think they will start taking a larger market from JD and Kubota as the competition grows and the value remains. Thanks for watching! 👍 Keep on tractoring!
I can tell you for a fact they are not worth the money. They appear to be quality but they arent. They have a lot of major issues. Oil leaks ,hydraulic issues , throttle failure. On top of that look at what the engine hpnis rated at compared to pto hp. Its a huge difference. Like the one i looked at the mt357. 56 engine hp but only 41.5 pto hp. Compare that to a kubota or deere. The 60 hp kubota mx6000 has 53 pto hp. My 3030 kubota puts out 30 hp engine and 23 pto. Ls ,tym, and kioti have a huge power loss at the pto. Yoi end up spending more money just to keep them running vs buying a better brand. I almost bought an ls. Im glad now i didnt. Neighbor down the road bought one last year and ita been nothing but issues.
My tractor availability is limited. Kubota, John Deere, and Ventrac. LS, Mahindra, TKM, etc have no dealers on Hawaii. More selection in heavy equipment.
This video was a ton of fun! - TWICE AS MUCH FUN! (Kubota BX Tractors)

I've never had a chance to see one of the LS machines up close in person - thanks for sharing!
Thank for watching Chad! If you get a chance, make sure you check them out.

The same thing happened to me!! The more research you do...
You'd be a great partner for LS!
Thanks! I’d definitely give that some consideration if offered.
Keep on tractoring!
We have an LS MT347 and love it. Had it for 3 years now and have no complaints at all.

Great video. I grew up in Aitkin and still live in the area. The owner, Tom, is a great person.
Good to know, I’ll have to stop in and see Tom sometime. Thanks!
Keep on tractoring!
Nice walk around 👍👏💪👴🐕🚜🏆🏆😎🤠🤦♂️
Thank you, seems like a neat little dealership. I’ll stop by when they are open sometime.
Keep on tractoring!
You would make a great LS ambassador! They should sponsor you!
Thanks Hank! I would definitely give that some consideration if offered the opportunity.
Keep on tractoring!
For the same size Tractor as My DK. Being tall like You, I felt cramped on an LS
Ergonomics helped in one of the deciding factors
Thanks Jon..
I feel ergonomics is a priority. I guess I should sit on one next time. 😂 The seats were very hot on this day.

Hey John I over looked this video some how, very nice tractors,I see my Brielle, and Brinkley the have grown up fast

Really gotta get one of these tractors
Love the way your daughters interact with you and your tractor comments. You make it so that later in life, they'll know mechanical stuff and not get ripped off by anyone. Kudos to you, Jon.
My goal for them is to teach them some basic mechanical skills that they use in life. They are learning a lot and I love it!

That odd attachment is for grading sand in an indoor horse arena and level it all back out.
If I only had some horses I guess. 😂

Thanks John
Our local Kubota dealer sold LS for a short time. When the dealership changed owners, they dropped LS. I liked the ones I saw though!

I have had 3 of them 2 was great. One stunk so bad when running and they couldn’t figure it out, so I traded it off on a coyote. Awesome tractor.
It smelled so bad that you traded it. Where was the smell coming from? The exhaust? That’s really strange.
Keep on tractoring!

I’ve looked at LS JON they seam well built. Have a neighbor down the road that just got o e but haven’t talk to him yet
I think I would enjoy using one. They look like a great machine!
Keep on tractoring!
The first number is the frame size and the second number is the HP. So our MT347 HST is a frame size 3, 47 hp and hst means hydrostatic transmission.
That’s what I kind of figured. Thanks for clearing that up.
Keep on tractoring!
The wifey is going to make you sell your Kubotas and stick you with farm simulator. 😁😁😁
She might just do that if I’m not careful!
Keep on tractoring!
👍
I had a 24hp ls and sold it for an Kubota 4760. The resale on the ls is pretty bad. Otherwise it was alright.
I would imagine resale isn’t the greatest. However I think quality is very comparable to the bigger brands.
Keep on tractoring!
Fun video. I am kind of drawn to those blue machines.
They look really well put together! They are also priced well.
Keep on tractoring!
LS is basically a New Holland. Less electrical commodities, more mechanical options but they're workhorses!
They look really well-built!

That blue though. 🤢
