- Just hours after she was crowned, Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel found herself at the center of a controversy. In a new interview with ‘Extra’s’ Rachel Lindsay, she addresses claims that the pageant was somehow rigged. R’Bonney also opens up about making history as the first Filipina-American to win the crown.

She is completely perfect and deserving of the Miss USA crown. I don’t doubt that AT ALL. I thought this even before the pageant took place.
However, it is true that the Miss USA pageant director was the last Miss Texas crowned and she has STRONG ties to the Miss Texas USA organization. Also, the Miss Universe organization is owned by a Filipino company which would help her participation in Miss Universe. I wouldn’t doubt the Miss USA organization did secretly favor her to win. I just don’t know how much they would push for that. She’s an extremely strong contender for the Miss Universe crown.
The Miss Universe Organization is looking into the allegations via an investigative company because there are receipts online of great concern. MUO has removed the head of the Miss USA, Crystal Stewart, for a reason. They are keeping Crystal's husband away from the contestants for a reason. *Look* at the receipts online. The MUO are not not air-heads making decisions at random. IMHO the MUO should also look at removing the Texas officials because their decisions concerning prizes granted appear to show a lack of discernment.
The candidates should learn from Ms Universe 2018(?) when Steve Harvey announced that Ms Colombia won. But then, it was corrected that Ms Philippines actually was the one. Ms Colombia handled the situation gracefully. I believe that every candidate had in mind that they will set a positive example for the younger generation. Stop the bullying!!
I saw the ending of the Miss USA and I understand why she won. In my opinion, she was the most articulate and most genuine. There was also a question about taking pictures of food...she was not afraid to be the only one to say otherwise. The ladies who are coming up with these conspiracy theories should be ashamed of themselves. I felt their negative vibes through my laptop. They only brought more confirmation and good attention to why Miss Texas will have a good chance to win Miss Universe!
To those that are spreading rumors. Don’t forget that your representing your state. When your spreading rumors. Then, you’re bullying. Also it makes you look unprofessional. Learn, why she won it. The difference of MS Texas from others. Is , she’s genuine. PERIOD!

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) is having a private investigative firm look into the allegations because the other contestants have shown credible receipts online. MUO has just removed Crystal Stewart from leading Miss USA for a reason, just as they had a reason when they decided to keep Crystal's husband away from the contestants (again there are receipts online). MUO has a legally binding contractual obligation to make sure that the contest is fair. These are *serious* allegations --- not to be taken lightly.

@@bambooprincess3495 from someone that has competed at Miss USA, we usually win the scholarship at the state level, winning Miss USA just helps launch women into their careers. If one cannot handle the fact that this is a competition they shouldn't run period. There's only one winner and 50 girls that return without the crown. There's a law firm looking into all the allegations and if they find that what is being said to be false it will be up to the organization to pursue a lawsuit. As if we didn't learn a thing or two from watching Johnny Depp's Lawsuit win in recent months. I do hope Miss USA files a lawsuit against all that have gone after the pageant without any sort of evidence.
P.S. I happened to win a 40k scholarship at the state level.

Held accountable for what? Speaking her truth? She is fully entitled to her feelings, thoughts and opinions and to share them how ever she chooses. The fact that the MUO is investigating gives credibility to her claims and those of others who have shared their perspective on the situation. Crystle is the one who needs to held accountable. She's the one who is in charge. She's the one making the decisions. If you want to point a finger at someone for the situation R'Bonney finds herself in, point it directly at Crystle.

There is a disturbing trend these days for people to contest outcomes and rob the winner of their shining moment. This is an example in the pageant world but it extends to many other fields by people who clearly lost. Even more than being unfounded, it is both shameful and cruel. We should expect better from one another.
Is this why the Miss Universe Organization has hired a private company to look into the receipts contestants have put online? Is this why Crystal Stewart was removed as head of Miss USA a few days ago? What about the situation with Crystal's husband last year? There are receipts online. The allegations are serious (with receipts), and deserve serious consideration.

These negative publicity is just building her profile for miss universe. She’s now famous all around the world! A clear front runner. Granted that all the preferential treatments given by the sponsors are true in which one judge for the national costume is the owner of the spa, she won the title thru her own merit during the live show. She even performed well in the national costume. The real question is will they be able to dethrone her and give the crown to North Carolina if the unsolicited preferential treatment coming from sponsors are indeed true?
