A rainha da beleza Miss Universo EUA, que é designer de moda sustentável por profissão, estava deslumbrante em um vestido preto sexy do estilista filipino Rian Fernandez, de Pangasinan.
Na parte de perguntas e respostas da competição para as três finalistas, perguntaram a Gabriel como ela trabalharia para demonstrar o Miss Universo como "uma organização empoderadora e progressiva" se ela vencesse.
Ela respondeu: "Eu usaria isso para ser uma líder transformadora. Como uma designer muito apaixonada, costuro há 13 anos, uso a moda como uma força para o bem. Em minha indústria, estou reduzindo a poluição por meio de materiais reciclados. materiais quando faço minhas roupas, dou aulas de costura para mulheres que sobreviveram ao tráfico humano e à violência doméstica. Digo isso porque é muito importante investir nos outros, investir em nossa comunidade e usar seu talento único para fazer a diferença.
