Finally someone with a head camera that doesn’t give me vertigo watching.
Good job!
Many thanks
Great video!
Thanks
Amazing vid bro keep it up
Thank you 👍
Great video! I need to go get wet, keep up the good work 😁👌
Appreciate it! Hopefully the weather clears up soon. New video coming out tonight👍
We need more! Get in the water! :)
2 weeks off work in a couple of weeks, i will be in the water the whole time!
You better! Great video. Keep it up
Apnea ST 75? Good visibility, looked like a 90-100+ speargun might have been useful.
Yes it was, the visibility was fantastic that day. Like you said i think i needed a longer gun for the range. I now have a Hero 115 which is perfect for longer ranges
Honestly love your stuff I’m getting me gear on the 18th how long do you hold your breath for? Is that near Plymouth looks familiar from me freedovong
Good news! Yes its very near Plymouth, close to Wembury. Around the 2 min mark, but some of my best fish have been around the 30 second mark. It all depends on the conditions.
SpearFin awesome I live in Exeter do you know of any decent spots around? I’ll probably be a solo diver
@@rythius4294 I haven't done much up in Exeter unfortunately. It's all trial and error until you figure what's best for you. Tides, weather, water vis ect. I mostly solo dive, just be extra safe.
@@TheOutdoor_Guy hello, thanks for the beautifully shot video. Wembury is lovely but I thought we couldn’t spearfish there as it’s a conservation area. It would be great to know where it was allowed. Thanks very much.
Hiya mate, love the videos. What music is in this video please.
Been watching your channel for many years now.
Safe diving
Hello mate. Thank you very much. Which part of the video is the song playing?
@@TheOutdoor_Guy I have found the music now.
Keep the content going mate. Love everything you do. You are a bigger version of me.
I go shooting hunting fishing and spearfishing. All out door stuff!!
👍
What video editing software do you use? Great video!
Thanks a lot, appreciate it. I use iMovie on my Mac Mini.
Hey man live down in the south west going to start this summer any equipment suggestions obviously got wetsuit ect
A good set of wetsuit socks and gloves, especially if you're going out for a long dive. I would also recommend a wetsuit with a hood
SpearFin yeah got the standard winter suit, is it the kind of sport you can just start/do
@@piersireland6934 that's ideal, yeah 100%. Its definitely up there with one of the best methods of fishing and it's easy enough to pick up once you've been in the water à couple of times
Brilliant
Cheers
I'm going to go river diving in the Ouachita River.
Should be fun.
Spearfishing season closed until June 15.
@@knightclan4 sounds great, have fun mate!
I like the drone footage at the beginning. nice video. How do mullet taste? I have never eaten them.
Thank you. I have finally got it fixed after crashing it into the water, so more videos to come with the drone. I think they taste really good, not on par with bass. Some people avoid them but i think they're great.
@@TheOutdoor_Guy I prefer to eat mullet, similar taste but more of it and often firmer flesh.
Do you know what the place is called?
In and around the Wembury bay, are you from the area?
Hi there, I am looking for spots in south Devon, i spearfish in west wales (where i am from) but am between taunton and wales for the next year. Hoping to find some spots in South or north Devon, any recommendations? Happy to drive an hour or two.
Hello mate, Theres plenty of good spots around. Bigbury, wembury bay, bovisands. Never been spearfishing on the north coast but im sure theres plenty around. If you ask on the UK spearfishing Buddies you may be able to find out some more. Hope that helps
@@TheOutdoor_Guy Thank you for the reply and suggestions, I will check them out. I have joined Exeter and some other south west spearfishing groups, keeping an eye on spots. Loving the content by the way, keep it coming. Already recommended to my mates at home!! Thanks again.
Wembury is always pretty good and I'd really recommend lantic bay best dive I've ever done
Where is this location
South Devon, I'm not going to disclose exactly where unfortunately
Hi mate do you still spearfish in South Devon area?
I do yes. Check out my most recent videos. They were only filmed last week 👍
@@TheOutdoor_Guy I live in Plymouth and I really want to get into spearfishing but a complete novice what's the best way to start? Is there any spearfishing groups?
@@lukemitchell6113 there's a good spearfishing facebook group called UK spearfishing Buddies. There's around 15 people who spearfish in Plymouth area. Any questions, send me a message on Instagram 👍
Where is that?
It's near Plymouth if that helps
Spearfin , what gun do you use ? And what's your setup ?
Also I'm really thinking of driving down south during weekend ,you willing to pair up for hunt ?
I use an apnea twin band for the extra distance. I don't tend to have a line attached to the gun either, it just gets in the way and it's normally only used for bigger fish. Yeah I would be more than happy to do that
@@TheOutdoor_Guy Great Spearfin, Im currently getting my gear sorted , however can't make up my mind between ROB Allen Scorpia 80 (single 16mm) or the RA Tuna 90 (double 16mm),
what do you suggest? also the float, are they strong enough to hold unto for a break,
@@toughape6202 it depends what kind of hunting you're doing, if it's all gullys and close range, than go for the Rob Allen. Longer range, I would go for the 90 double. You will be able to punch out a little further with that.
Reference having a break, are you fighting to stay on the surface? If so, work out the correct amount of weight to stay buoyant when you inhale. On the exhale, you should begin descend. You shouldn't really be tired on the surface
@@TheOutdoor_Guy thanks for the great advice, i was referring to the "float system" where you have a diving flag to make others aware and string your catch and stuff, i mean is it strong enough to hold unto to give your muscles a rest etc.
@@toughape6202 yes, mine it's quite small and I can hang on to it for a rest if I need too. Bigger the better I suppose, it will be more visible and will hold your weight much better too
