Silent Alarm, one of the greatest debut albums of any band ever, and one of the best albums of the past 25 years in general. Fucking brilliant.
I was this gig.. drunk in a field in the middle of the afternoon dancing to Bloc Party.. such good times :)
Annie, I'm so glad to hear you had a good time! I have loved bloc party since I fortunately found them in 2005! Those were differennnttttttt times! Much love from Earth,
-Caleb
God I miss this. Bloc Party at their most raw. So much energy emotion and passion!
I love how shit their timing is. It’s so good hahah
I like all their albums, but I do still miss this Bloc Party. Such energy and emotion
@@RC-fi8nn I'mjust getting into them I love the silent alarm album and tracks from the early EP's and the album four.
Cannot wait to celebrate the 20 years of Silent Alarm show this year!
My Late Cousin RIP Did Security For Them When They Played Glastonbury In 2005 !
Toda energia que as bandas em seu inicio de carreira e seus primeiros anos de sucesso tem... isso não tem preço...
I think these songs are much more exciting live.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!
im not really a fan of alternative/indie rock as a genre but silent alarm is one of my favourite albums of all time
Is there a need to preclude the positive comment? You just like the record - It's all good.
@@TheBigPlopper yes. it shows just how amazing the album is because it is one of my favourite ever, despite not normally like other bands in the same genre
@@crazypearce Just say you like the album. There is absolutely zero point in referencing other genres. Like what you like. It's all good
Rusell is an awesome guitar player.
Thank you for sharing
36:10 DAMN
is it amazing to watch the people in da concert the vendors people in to the earth und water simply amazing .. but only sweddish und brirtish are in there?
I think I was near the toaster flag
Ha! They had tempo issue around this time. Leaps over more than 10 bpm at once lol
I feel like with a band like this "tempo issues" and bpm are kind of irrelevant. Just a great band in their prime playing great songs with raw passion is what I hear
@@biffy7098 exactly, just rocking out, no need to disect it.
@@biffy7098 I mean that's true to some extent, but in some songs the tempo that Tong is laying down is too fast for the guitar parts, which are already very fast, like in Helicopter
The imperfection makes it excellent. Makes things quite sterile when bands play to the click
is not the place .is the people und the arts, is the only i can see und say
If they got into the mainstream or whatever a little more they would’ve headline the pyramid stage in 2009 instead of the other stage
4:52 9:34 WTF???)SHIT))))
Mud?
No banquet? Not written yet?
i doubt their set was only 40 minutes long, since they were huge back when Silent Alarm came out...
So I'd say that this is actually just all of screen time BBC gave them, and probably switched to another perfromance after 40 minutes
If you look up the setlist, they did play it but it wasn’t shown. What a tragedy! It’s such a banger.
Get back together.
