    I’ve taken 5 or 6 classes with Alex. Probably the best, most fun, instructor with whom I have ever trained. He helped me take my carbine game to a whole new lever I never thought I could achieve. 👍

    One of the best explanations on speed and accuracy training I have heard yet. Keep up the great work..

    Alex, it's very obvious you know what you're talking about but PLEASE slow down your talking. I had a terrible time trying to follow what you were saying. Keep up the good work. Thank you very much for your service!

      Hey, just FYI you can hit the settings wheel and change the playback speed. Good for slowing down informational videos.

    Hello surefire. Is there an update on when the Turbo series will be available for consumers? At Shot show of this year it was stated that it would be available by March.

    In addition to the excellent and easy to understand information presented, the disciplined safety selector and ejection port cover manipulation, and "check 6" was well done.

    I feel like I need to run the video at .75x playback speed just to have time to comprehend everything Alex is saying. My god he talks fast 😂

    Ooh Rah Marine, great presentation. I'm an old retired Gunny (aviation) so don't hate on me. Having said that my 20 years rarely had me on the range, especially when I was stationed in Iwakuni for 4 years where the gas chamber and range were a no-go. Although I've qualified expert in both rifle and pistol, I no longer remember the process to zero my Irons and co-witness them to a new to me holographic sight. I do remember what a pain in the ass the process was to achieve a 36/300 yard BZO. If I understand correctly, current Marine warriors are using a small arms collimator (SAC) in order to achieve an initial BZO and then confirm/adjust it with live fire. Adding to my confusion is that the Corps is now using a 100 meter zero rather than the 36 yards? I must have missed the memo when we abandoned yardage for meters. In any event, I have several M4s that need dialed in and am intrigued by the max point blank range concept. I just ordered the same SAC the Corps uses but have no idea how to use it to zero my irons and Eotechs to correlate to a 300 yard MPR. Any suggestions / guidance is greatly appreciated War Dog. Semper Fi, Ken

    I have listened to this video twice. Still not sure exactly what is the “cheat” method mentioned in the title. Some comments ave suggested a clear explanation but I’m not getting it.

      Hold high center of vitals. If it’s beyond your rifle and ammo’s max ord hold or dial 1 Mil ⬆️.

    • @seanoneil277
      @seanoneil277 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The "cheat" is you don't spend time fussing over 25, 36, 50, 100, 200 yds zero distance and having a new set of holds for each one. You choose a maximum point blank zero that gives you a tube of relative accuracy for the longest distance. 36 or 50 and accepting your "tube of accuracy" is an easier choice than complex holds for 100 or 200 and trying to dial new holds at varied engagemenet distances.

      Max point blank basically means, you can hold center on any target out to about 350yds and still hit inside the 12" margin of error.

  • @emtothedee

    Are you slipping the turrets and then dialing up one mil for the max point blank range? Would this concept work good for coyote hunting or are those targets too small?

    I get in a mil/leo setting you may want everyone zeroed at the same distance, ie 100 yards, and rolling with their MPBR predialed, but as a civvie shooter is there any advantage to that vs just setting your initial zero to MPBR right off the bat?

    • @craigjohnson6141
      @craigjohnson6141 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most rifle engagements are well under 100 yards in urban conflict. MPBR would probably be the most practical in that genre. It works very well for whitetails as well, speaking from personal experience.

      When you have a brain full of info and a short time to convey it, and have pretty good or better teaching skills while also being a fast talker (not from SE USA, in other words) -- this is how it sounds. Truly the classic cliche, drinking from the fire hose. Better have your caffeine in you -- or watch it several times.
      Imagine being in the field under pressure. Would you want this sort of essential info conveyance, or the slow drawl with many pauses?

    There's something called information overload, and this situation serves as a clear example. It's one thing to communicate with fellow team members, but it's an entirely different matter when you're trying to teach us civilians. The issue begins with tonality and pace, as you were speaking extremely fast. You presented a lot of information that most civilians wouldn't be able to comprehend. Additionally, you provided a surplus of irrelevant information and reference points. The video would have been more effective if you had simply demonstrated what needed to be done and focused solely on that topic, rather than cross-referencing more complex tactics. In the future, it would be beneficial to utilize the principle of K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple, Stupid) so that the end user can easily grasp your teachings. And utilize a scope cam and show us how you perform this tactic instead of us just watching you bench shoot
