    I may be your oldest student. I am over 75 years trying to learn the Keyboard which I wanted to do when I was in School. I was born and lived in Srilanka and moved to Australia 20 years ago. Your lessons are very professional. I am trying hard to play using with both hands. I hope I will succeed. Trying hard.

      Oh hows it going man? I started Like 2 weeks ago and am really loving it, I have played guitar for about 10 years since 17 but there was always something that called to me about the piano

    Thanks for the great video. I am only a beginner at piano, but it seems like excellent advice to me - especially the bit about correct finger / arm position and playing slowly. You definitely deserve more likes!

    Hi just started following you & you are a great teacher. I’m a beginner & have now learnt your finger movements. Thank you. Do you have the chord sheet for fields of gold my favourite song of all time. Would love to play that :-) not using all fingers on left hand just yet

    • @PianoFromScratch
      @PianoFromScratch  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't I'm afraid but google will have the chords, lots of guitar sites with the basic chord charts written out. Have you heard the Eva Cassidy version?

    After learning C major scale. Which scale should i learn next? Do you have to learn L and R and together for each scale? Keep these coming, really enjoying them. Can't play any 'tunes' yet but hoping that working through all these vids will help me get a 'tune' out one day.

    • @PianoFromScratch
      @PianoFromScratch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Phillip, I would learn G major next, then D, A and E. Those all add an extra sharp black key each time but still use the same finger pattern. You could also throw in F somewhere in there as it has 1 black (a flat this time) To learn more, I actually put up a blog post on which order to learn scales. You can be flexible how you do things but it makes most sense to start with those few I believe pianofs.com/the-best-scales-to-learn-first-on-piano-a-helpful-guide/
      I would just add that it's worth starting some simple real music too as soon as you feel ready

    • @PianoFromScratch
      @PianoFromScratch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh and you asked about L and R, as a beginner, do left and right separately before putting them together

    • @philipblundell9741

      I've now learned all 12 major scales and not sure what I should move onto next?

      The devil is in the detail... Start out the right way. I'm sure there are more basic lessons out there but we should never criticise good standards.
