Thanks for this, I was having a brand new battery issue where it would not charge it just stayed on 2 blinking green lights. I came here to TH-cam to see what people suggested to do and came upon a guy that talked you through all of what you needed to do and bam it was fixed. I just happen across this and it has great things that you need to do. I’ve been flying for 3 yrs off and on and you just don’t hear near enough about the DJI assistant app and how important it is to download and use it more than the WiFi way

how do I get the drone to show up on the software to check updates? it does not show up at all. I have the assist 2 opened and connected the drone to mac via cable but nothing is happening
I downloaded the DJI Assistant 2 V 1.2.4 which I believe is current. I turned on the Quad. I turned on the controller. I was able to get to the page which shows a diagram of the USB connection to the MacBook Pro. When I connected the USB cable to the computer, nothing happens....there is no connection where I would see a Mavic Air icon, and thus try to Recalibrate the vision system. Do you have any ideas??

What if you get the message on your phone that says... "RC not connected to mobile device"? Even though you have appropriate phone from the DJI list, and you have connected the Remote Controller & phone with supplied DJI connector cable & batteries are fully charged on both the RC Controller and Mavic Mini Drone? Can this method still be used to update or would it be impossible? TY for sharing.

You should tell people that DJI did not make many of the functions available for Mac computers. Like the assistance for recreational drones, or the avata, or the fpv controller2

Hi, I received the mavic 2 Enterprise and what a disappointment compared to the mavic 2 pro. I should say that you don’t get much for what you pay for. Not many people made videos after it’s release except the unboxing etc. The software was trimmed to the minimum without any flight mode which could be of great help for search and rescue or accessing structures etc. If you have one, can you do a review of all the features or lack of! If dji doesn’t upgrade it the way it should be, that could be a big failure on their part in my opinion. Thanks
This is a really useful bit of info. I’m new to flying. Got my Part 107 recently and I have been actively doing my research and elevating my learning about all things UAV. I’ve been practicing flying in controlled settings as opposed to just irresponsibly flying above my experience level. I had no clue out of all the research I have done this far about DJI Assistant. I will be downloading this on my windows laptop when I get home. I do have a question: I have a MM (practice), a Phantom 4 Pro V1 and a MP2. Is this going to be 3 separate DJI Assistant downloads??? Also, did I here you say that there is a DJI Flight Simulator available for Windows based systems? Do you find it effective? Realistic? Also I didn’t see in you list (unless I missed it) that there’s a DJI Assistant for the P4P v1. I look forward to your feedback. I follow your tutorials closely.
Hello Billie..! I'm having a problem installing DJI Assistant on my MacBook Pro 2022. When I try to install the program, I get a message saying that I need to install a file called HorNDIS and from what the message describes, in a companion file to be able to connect equipment Android to the Mac. There is a link that appears in the message and it takes you to a list where previous versions appear up to the most updated to install on the Mac. I have tried with the last 4 versions and I cannot install DJI Assistant. I await your advice. Thanks.
For the Mavic Mini, the only options available are Firmware Update, Log Export (saves log to your computer) and flight simulator. Basically the program is useless ..
Can't change settings on mavic pro platinum and Spark to allow ATTI mode unless you can find DJI Asst 1.1.2. Hard to believe DJI makes it so hard to use ATTI mode.

From what I understand, the flight data off of the M2 aircraft is encrypted where Airdata can't read it. Same for Air from what I've heard. This is disappointing as you can't fully diagnose issues when the go app crashes or RC lost connection to the AC.
Hey there Billy, Started my droning with the Mavic Air. Downloaded the Assistant 2 to an iMac and was able to use it no problem. I've now purchased a M2ED and had to download the Assistant 2 for Mavic to use with the M2ED. However, I had to delete the Assistant 2 for the Air in order to get the download for using with the M2ED to install. Sooooo, then I went to download the Assistant 2 for the Air again and... not going to happen. Receive notification that the program will not run on current Catalina version of OSX. Do you know if this is true? Or am I missing something? Any help/advice you can share with me would be greatly appreciated. Love seeing you and DOBO together. Both of you are great in all you do. Using the Assistant 2, I could not connect my Mavic Air to the computer because I had to recalibrate my vision sensors.. I was cut off 3 times from the chat room. I finally called customer support. They could not access the mavic air icon screen from the connection screen on the Assist. I tried cable changing. I tried deinstall and reinstall without any luck. They finally advised me to send my Mavic Air to repair and gave me a case number. Their software doesn't work. I reviewed several blogs and confirmed similar issues. Has anyone else had issues like this???

I tried to download the assistant download for my Mavic Pro and when I try to open it I get a pop up telling me that the administrator is preventing me from opening this app? This from two of my own pc computers. I don't know who the administrator is? Any help??
Honestly I have every DJI drone ever made and I cannot honestly say I have had any use ever for the assistant app. Everything is so easily controlled directly firmware updates immediately everything really no reason for assistance. Other than sending DJI your personal information these drones do not fail or at least I have never had a single hiccup and all of the thousands and thousands of dollars I’ve spent on DJI drones have never seen one fail yet unless due to pilot error

Can I reset it all? So if someone will use it again don't have to connect with this name and password? Is really important and I need to do it ASAPP Thanks
Having the same issue. Considering their market share, and their competition gaining, you'd think they would develop better software. I have tried 2 pcs and a mac, none worked. I bought a used device at a very low cost and I am the most frustrated I have ever been with a piece of tech, I can't imagine how upsetting it would be to have spend thousands, and not have working software.
Are you running Windows 10? I always have an issue getting this program to run on Windows 10 without restarting with doing a "Driver Enforcement" inactivation - real PIA... If you were able to resolve this requirement, please let me know

I am getting Error: Unrecognized response to calibration command. Any idea how to fix that?
