I’m an old dog learning new tricks, (54 and a new hobby) and your videos are by FAR the BEST I’ve come across! To-the-point, clear, concise and not a bunch of chatter to pad the video length. Definitely subscribed!
In free you have cruise control which does amazing things custom wise. Set a direction like up and diagonally very soft and slow and press c1 and it will continue going up and diagonal(or any direction) at the speed you were going when you pressed it. It's most amazing I think
I got in trouble making a u-turn around that funeral home several, several, SEVERAL years ago. On the third trip around it they scared me off. I was a punk kid at that time. Great videos! Nice to have a local guy teach me stuff about my Mavic 2. I have both the zoom and Pro. Keep it up!
Thank you for talking in normal language and explaining things thoroughly without all the BS hype that often comes with these videos. Love how calm you are too. Found you via a google search on how to use QuickShotsand will now stick with your tutorial videos!!
Just wanted to say thanks for the video on the hyper laps as I’ve never done it and I’ll go in to it with so much more confidence after watching your video. Look forward to seeing more from you thank you .
Great training video, for us old guy 67, wish you would go a little bit slower, especially on icons to push, had to play over several times to see what buttons to push. Still like the way you explain different settings. Are you shooting in Raw settings? to download faster
Kinda hard on Free Mode...lol........At 3:14 in your video you can see the option to put the drone in "cruise control" by hitting C1 or C2. That way you don't have fly it manually.... it keeps it going in the same direction/speed/altitude that you set. I'm sure you figured that out by now but if not try it. Great Channel!..... I've learned a lot about flying from your videos. Keep it up.. Thanks!
hi, im having a issue with waypoint and course lock hyperlapse. the waypoints wont appear in my gps map as well as the blue line when you locked the couse. I can see that little image preview every time I select a waypoint, but that little blue dot on the gps map that also shows you what are you aiming at, like in the waypoint feature is not showing up on my gps mas no matter what I do. Im using either an android phone or an android tablet, and in both i cant see it. could you please help me, I find it really usefull thanks for this incredible tutorial
Thanks for the vidéo. In the hyperlapse -> circle mode, if I want to make a dull circle [tm] or a given angle (say 180 degrees), I cannot figure out how to set the number of shots or time to get that. I cannot event compute it myself because I don't know the flight data (radius of the circle, speed...)
Excellent excellent videos.... always follow your videos.. so much to say but I’m sure you have heard it all.. Really love the intro video you have at the beginning of all the videos.. did you do that on your own ?
Free mode has one really useful application, which is just sitting in one place and making a timelapse, e.g., a sunset or sunrise, much the same way you might put an SLR on a stick to do the same. I agree that flying in free mode looks awful so the very easy solution to that is " just don't fly around". Ironically the best thing that Free mode does is to just sit in one place.
Hi there. I have a question I noticed you put video length for seconds that basically means in four seconds it’s going to show you the entire hyper laps is what that basically means.? So if I was to set the hyper laps for 10 seconds it would show me the total of 10 seconds video of the entire hyper laps. Just making sure I understand I’m very new to this. Awesome video and thank you so much for the tutorial I will be subscribing
Cool tutorial thank you! I have one question. At the moment I have a mavic 2 zoom. And I'm wondering if it is possible to set a different focal length at the first and second point in the last hyperlapse mode? Let's say that the hyperlapse starts at 24mm and ends at 50mm?
How do you record the monitor screen while flying the Mavic 2 Pro? I would like to watch the flight screen info back on video, is this possible? If so, would you know how to set this up or where to find it if it’s already doing this? Thank you very much.
USA is a drone heaven because look at those massive lots & space! You can take off anywhere you want! In my country it's pretty difficult to find a take off spot.
Mine keeps saying the camera orientation changed too much when doing waypoint so it won't let me set my second waypoint. I tried barely changing it and not changing it at all (gimbal at least) and still no luck. So bummed
Thanks so much buddy, this was very very helpful to understand more about each mode without having to understand too much on the go while flying (especially when you have a limited time for the shot). Now I need to learn how to get the raw photos to edit the hyperlapse in a finer way. So far, the drone synthesised every hyperlapse which is cool but not what I'm trying to achieve.
Before purchasing a new Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom, I am wondering if TapFly would guide a drone to the top of a mountain with a single tap, assuming I tapped just above the top of the mountain on the viewing screen. I can see the tower at the top of the mountain. It is about a mile from my house and about 800 ft. higher in altitude as compared with where I live on the side of the mountain. I wonder too if Waypoints would work, then the drone could fly back home as programmed.
Hello, great videos, congratulations for you channel, I have a question, I just bought the mavic 2 pro, and when I do a hyperlapse in addition to the option of the interval and the duration of the video appears drone speed, that option came out of the last update?
from this video to now you have some parameters that are your favorites, interval, duration video and speed?
I enjoyed your video, Dylan, as usual easy to follow. Two questions. Like Quickshots is it only shot @ 29 fps or does your frame rate setting determine the frame rate for your hyperlapse video? Can hyperlapse be selected to be in 4K ?
Hey Dylan. Always like your vids on Mavics. Waiting for my MP2 Zoom to arrive. Cant wait to check out the hyperlapse modes. I also am in Oklahoma, not far from you! Saw the highway 9 icon on the screen!
Hey Dylan - I tried shooting a Hyperlapse on M2PZoom tonight and the drone failed to render the video. I got about 97 images before it froze. Can I use the DNG files or do I need to go through LR and output as JPGs first?
I'm willing to do a MegaHyperlapse and want to fly between two waypoints, which are 10kms apart. Now, I have one take on this, since the battery will not let me fly 20kms on a single charge... Is there a possibility to do this? It would actually be very nice to be able to select waypoints on the map, instead of physically needing to fly there.
For me - I cannot find the Time laps video on the SD, internal memory or the tablet... Where is it saved??? All I see is a set of DNG files (useless?)...
Way point is crazy ...but ...while we setting the point , i think , if we are Stable enough, the video clip will be far better too..it the movement is too big, the result may not be very good too...thank you yr video btw ✨
Good stuff. I/we appreciate your efforts. Your videos have accelerated my learning and use. Much better than reading and blind trial and error. Speaking of reading. Have you considered turning off your banner/notifications on your phone when shooting? I feel like Im seeing private info every time I watch one of your videos. And then Im reading your message instead of listening to you. Or thinking its a note you edited in. That I MUST read. You know. Shiny things. Squirrel !!! That was initially one of my concerns about the phone controller. Stuff popping up on my screen while Im trying to fly. Or getting a phone call and/or ....... But Ive learned about what thats like now as well. Glad I waited for the smart controller. So there you go. Many lessons and much learning. Seriously though. Thanks. And keep em coming. With or without the banner pop ups.
When you make a Hyperlapse, using Waypoints, it IS possible. I learned how to and it is very convenient, because I record a route, and come back when the weather improves.
joseph gonzalez yes and that's the best way to do custom. I am sure he will discover that or has by now, you can do whatever combo of directions and then put it into cruise and it makes amazing hyperlapse! Maybe he will make another video
I’m an old dog learning new tricks, (54 and a new hobby) and your videos are by FAR the BEST I’ve come across! To-the-point, clear, concise and not a bunch of chatter to pad the video length. Definitely subscribed!
The free Hyperlapse mode is good when you want to go up and stay stationary to record something like a sunset 😉
In free you have cruise control which does amazing things custom wise. Set a direction like up and diagonally very soft and slow and press c1 and it will continue going up and diagonal(or any direction) at the speed you were going when you pressed it. It's most amazing I think
Great tutorial. Always learn something good from your breakdowns!
Dylan does a great job of explaining everything
I really needed this tutorial. The other tuts I watched were way less hands on. Thanks for taking the time to make this Dylan!
Just got the mavic 2 and been watching your vids all day! It’s incredible what these can do. Thanks for all the great info.

Most helpful. I’ve been researching tutorials for operations of each hyperlaps mode. Your has been the most helpful! Keep up the great work.
Very clear explanation/!! Thanks brother.
You are welcome! I appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏼
Dylan. Can you do a video on how to add music to drone footage?. I have a mavic 2 pro.
Great training video, for us old guy 67, wish you would go a little bit slower, especially on icons to push, had to play over several times to see what buttons to push. Still like the way you explain different settings. Are you shooting in Raw settings? to download faster
Thank you Dylan for the clip. I learned SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much on this clip vs other clips out there.
thanks so much for your drone videos so helpful
Thanks for all you do and please keep flying.

Free fly is very useful. Start flying then set cruise control with the c1 button then rotate three drone around
Loved it...as a new Zoom flyer ..simple and precise...love from India
Great video. Will you be making one showing us how to use the new task library option that dji have now added?
Thanks again! Great to know. On sunday I will test them all. Thanks Dylan!
Ard Schell Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Awesome, thanks for walking us through this. Great to see how it works and the end product. Cheers, from Down Under!

How do you abort if you need to in an emergency? Do you press the pause button on the right? Thanks..

Vlad Olaf Well... it’s definitely not like this everywhere in the USA, lol. I live in a very remote, rural area.
Nice vid again how do you draw a box around the subject cheers daz
Darren Taylor you just simply tap in a corner and drow a box with your finger held down over the object you went to track!
I use free for a stationary time lapse.
Came here to say this. Free is for stationary
Thanks, I was messing around with these time lapses trying to figure out how to do a simple stationary time lapse!

Absolutely great video man, just got my Mavic pro 2 for my bday and your tutorial will be a big help going forward...😉💪
Demetrius McClain Love being able to help! Congrats on getting the Mavic? Thanks for the kind words and happy flying, my friend!
So would the waypoint mode be great for flying through small and narrow openings?

How do you get your signature in animation at the end ? iv got my digital signature but looks quite cool when it looks like your writing it. ?
Chris Hackney Used an iPad with a stylus and sighted my name and did a screw capture the voila!
Thanks much Dylan for this tutorial. Now I know now how the course lock works. Coz before I don’t exactly know how it works. Thanks. You’re awesome.
Ocram Nas Siul Thank you for watching! You are awesome!
Awesome Dylan! Good job. Look forward to the detailed tutorials on this Hyperlapse
Looks like you are in Oklahoma. So am I. Just got my M2P. Excited to learn more from you. I'm south of Norman.
Hos do you do to show DJI meny on screen and record?
Can you save the waypoint mode so you can shoot the same hyperlapse and different times (day/night)?
Follow
Curious if an Stabylizer in post helps correct any of the small movements that become noticeable once the footage plays at 100%... Anyone tried this?
This was very well explained. Thank you.
What happens if the DJI app stops during the time lapse will it continue
I enjoyed your video, Dylan, as usual easy to follow. Two questions. Like Quickshots is it only shot @ 29 fps or does your frame rate setting determine the frame rate for your hyperlapse video? Can hyperlapse be selected to be in 4K ?
Great question. I am wondering the same thing.

Great video mate. Thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼
Very nice tutorial video. Greetings from Finland :-)
Great video, thanks for sharing, Is there a way to slow down the finish product?
This was perfect! Thank you.
good job
Hey Dylan. Always like your vids on Mavics. Waiting for my MP2 Zoom to arrive. Cant wait to check out the hyperlapse modes. I also am in Oklahoma, not far from you! Saw the highway 9 icon on the screen!
great video, would be interesting to see what happens when using longer intervals as ive only seen the 2s ones so far ;)
SKYCAM UK I’ll have to do a video edited to longer intervals!
Always learn from your videos thanks very much for sharing:)
Hey Dylan - I tried shooting a Hyperlapse on M2PZoom tonight and the drone failed to render the video. I got about 97 images before it froze. Can I use the DNG files or do I need to go through LR and output as JPGs first?

very nice tutorial, I want to make one sunset hyperlapse near my home for 40 seconds.
Bout to put this in use asap
Very useful stuff thanks

So do the hyper lapse videos get saved to the SD card or what? And thanks for explaining everything so clearly!

Great Job! Thank you.
waypoint must be my favourite i have many good ideas on what to do with it
Can we save this waypoint for diferent times use, like a construction of a building?
Dylan, thanks, much better than the official DJI tutorial on the same subject.
I use free mode & stay stationary to video concrete pours on construction sites
Thanks! Nice video!

I just got my Mavic 2 Zoom. I have the compass on the bottom left of the screen and the map on the bottom right side. How do you move them around?
Muito bom.Parabéns
Did you do the other videos about each hyperlapse mode? i have a question: How do you save a Hyperlapse route?
Im not sure if you can save routes in Hyperlapse mode, but i know you can save routes/flight paths in Waypoints mode.
When you make a Hyperlapse, using Waypoints, it IS possible. I learned how to and it is very convenient, because I record a route, and come back when the weather improves.

Its the only one too that you can do without the mavic in the air. I did one of myself and family in the lounge for 20minutes and it was a fun video.
Important to mention at the beginning- the IFMs are not available when the remote is in Tripod mode.
What is IFM?
@@vladolaf2601 Intelligent Flight Mode
@@smartpropertyphotography5680 oh shit. That's what I want to use to slow down the aircraft. So what can we do to slow down the aircraft speed?
@@vladolaf2601 I dont know, I only know that I could not find the they Hyperlapse setting when my controller was set to Tripod mode.
Hey man after you enter this mode, how do you exit it? I’m having to land and turn off to switch back to taking a normal photo/video
What a cool video.....👍
Good stuff
Daniel Six I appreciate that!
