    This clear explanation of the Frenzel has been a breakthrough for me! I've been freediving/snorkeling in the Caribbean for 3 months now, unable to equalise so only getting to about 6m. Watching this video has opened up a whole new world! Yesterday got to 11m! Thanks so much 👍🏼

      Super! It goes without saying that you should be freediving alone without knowing what you're doing. Learn the proper way and find an instructor who can really teach you. Then find yourself a competent buddy.

    Wait, so the 'blowing out my ears' (so it feels like i'm literally expelling air through my ears) that I've done all my life when I mix/master music, is called the Frenzel Equalisation and it helps with the feeling of pressure in my ears/head when diving? This is amazing because I also work at a swimming pool that requires me to periodically test whether I could still pick up a person from the bottom of the pool.

    My soft palate will not open! Where is the other video you mentioned about problems the soft palate? Thank You for this video. It is very good!!!

    • @deepmedfreediving
      @deepmedfreediving  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't have one yet but what you can do is just relax and breathe in from your nose. The soft palet is open like this. Send your awareness to how it feels at the back. this is the posisiton it should be in.

      I understand that but it only happens when I’m head down. I can EQ just fine using the frenzel techniQue when my head is up! And yes im sure i am doing the frenzel method correctly. How can I make sure the soft palate opens with my body facing down? Any tips?

      All the movement comes from the throat. If your stomach is moving it means you’re pushing air from the lungs. You need to learn how to close the vocal folds / glottis.

    How could that happened if I m on under water hopefully I can do it the freenzel equalization

    • @deepmedfreediving
      @deepmedfreediving  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, you have to rewatch the video and connect it all together. Of course, you cannot pronounce the letters underwater! That's just to understand movement and lock
