I too use my basement as a shoebox room. Mine however is a true 1960s "rec room" fake pine paneling and all. Since viewing your videos I've decided to hang Christmas lights and to put up a small tree. I have a rule about not watching classic Christmas movies before Thanksgiving but I may put and old TV and DVD player in there so I can watch Hallmark Christmas movies as I pack. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.

Thanks so much for inviting us into your home and for showing us your wonderful OCC stash in the basement. My basement is full of OCC items also, but I wouldn't invite guests down there as it's a bit crowded and difficult to maneuver, and even though I try to have it organized, when I get packing, things are pulled out here and there. However, I do regularly have my grandkids down there and they are great packers! They know where to find things!!

I'm working on a bulletin board by the shoebox room at our church and I was thinking of doing a map and now I'm going to add the pictures😊 and mark the places where our boxes have been. I like to pack the pretty fans in by older girl boxes too! Happy packing!
