I lately gave up my roof top tent and transitioned into sleeping inside the car. The sleep and handling of the car are great! I just had to learn packing lighter than I’m used to. So far I’m liking it!
I would agree!! I have never been a fan (let me be clear, just for my current situation) of a RTT mostly because of the weight aspects and the fact that they make vehicles top heavy. Might be a different story if I actually lived out of a vehicle, but I don’t do it enough to justify one. But I’m encouraged to hear your experience about sleeping inside the vehicle too! 😊
Whoever at Toyota designed that volume button to be the new push start button has had their volume messed with in their car 😂😂 we suffer from their suffering lol
This review is very sincere I loved it! It has a wholesome approach and conveys the idea of what it's like to spend a night in the landy without your fancy heavy-duty camping gear. Good stuff Chloe!
Great vid and review of the new LC! As a in-car camper in my GX470, I was curious how comfortable it would be in the newest LC Gen. You should do more camping/overlanding content!
Thanks for sharing! I’m looking at the Land Cruiser as a potential next car. But it’s hard to leave my overlanding Subaru because it has a third row. But looking for more capability that the LC has to offer.
Hmm, that is odd and apologies! Did you try another browser? Some browsers might require you to manually trust a certificate. I am not sure who to talk to about the site, but it presently appears to work on my phone and laptop but curious to know if other people are still having issues?
Congratulations your new LC 👍 How do you like it so far even long road trip and how the driver side seat comfort? Did you get rid of your 80s or still have it?
Like the new LC, it just needs an off road version. Will probably get the Trailhunter 4Runner instead. Still like the roll down rear window too. Will keep my 5th gen another year or so until they have been out a while...
Do the 2nd row seat fold flat to the fronts ? Looks like they will, they have the holding straps on them. Then you wouldn't have the hump at the 2nd row seats.
ahh your channel is growing! I checked in a while back when you were modding your Tacoma, moved to New York so I never watch another YT video about cars, till Toyota dropped this beast.
Can we get clarification from Toyota why the Landcruiser requires 91 octane but the same engine in the Taco does not? That’s almost a dealbreaker for me as it’s 60cent difference a gallon. and would offset the point of the hybrid.
I wonder if someone will come out with a mattress to make it flat. That is the main thing I am not happy about with the new 6th gen 4 runner. In my 5th gen it folds down flat, its basically a deal breaker but I think I might just get a roof top tent and go that route. I am torn between the 4 runner and the land cruiser, what are your thoughts? Have you tried both?
Be careful about weight on the back deck and covering the air vents for the battery underneath that deck. Loved your video, definitely want to go to a Toyota Jamboree
I don't know why toyota isn't offering the hybrid system for 4x2 trucks, but I'm betting manual locking hubs on the front axle will push fuel economy up to 27-28mpg. It's like they don't want a traditional SUV getting excellent fuel mileage.
Ford adds the 7.2kW inverter in their hybrids, and other manufacturers follow. lol 2.4kW is pretty nice for camping. They need to have that in every vehicle at a minimum.
Change my mind. The only car that is capable for overnight camping is land rover defender. Even a 6ft+ person can sleep inside comfortably. The perfect car for camping.
I'm curious about this too... Especially if you tinker with the auto climate control and keeping it on low to sip of electricity while still allowing some ac flow
hello nice vid ¿what is the sleeping length from the rear door to the front seats ? what is the tallest a person can be to sleep straight in the new LC? thanks
That volume knob placement looks like if was added at the last second. No way would I want my passenger reaching in front of my steering wheel to adjust the volume
That battery pack/platform in the back really kills this vehicle for me. That back needs to be totally flat to camp in and they need to offer a 3rd row.
I own 2 60’s (one stock, one 2”emu), an 80, and a 100 - This new Prado sucks. I’ll keep mine as long as they will go, and will just research and keep an eye out on vehicles in case I have to get something in time. This new LC will not be it - that’s for sure.
There is only 1 definition for car camping lol. Car camping is sleeping IN your rig!😝 I started car camping with my first 5th gen 4Runner, and being a 4'11, 99 lbs Asian woman, it is very easy and comfortable lol. I have a brand new GX 550 and disappointed how the seats fold different from my 4Runner, but my husband already made a great temporary solution until I decide if rear seat delete is what I want Cool video!
I was ready to enter the giveaway until I heard Hawaii isn’t included!😩😩 LOL! Awesome and informative vid! I own a 100 series LX and the one thing I love about it is the lower tailgate!
I love your videos and I do really like the new Landcruiser. I also own a 2019 Tacoma. That rack on top of the landcruiser looks sweet but based on other video that thing can't even hold more than 200lbs which is pretty stupid.
Non-removable seats in vehicles. Hybrid battery packs that don't improve fuel economy much. And 3rd row cupholders for a non-existent 3rd row. All to eat into the already limited space of a body-on-frame vehicle. Questionable decisions (the poster child being the latest Sequoia and its knees-to-chest 3rd row). By contrast, I've literally packed my entire house into my 1998 Sienna--all seats removed, completely flat floor. Outstanding in-car sleeping/camping experience.
Good looking rig even if its stock! I'll wait a few years for the price to depreciate, then go after it when I can afford it. Or maybe I'll jsut get an older Land Cruiser, since their built like flippin tanks, anyway! Great content Chloe!
Real talk time… It absolutely blows my mind how all, and I do mean all influencers/content creators weather it’s for Toyota, Harley, or other vehicle manufacturers all rah-rah every change like they are all actually wanted. For example… as a nearly 25 year Toyota owner… I am extremely disappointed in the loss of the V6 and V8 options in trucks. I don’t care about HP or ridiculous torque numbers… I want reliability with less pieces and parts to have to replace if it breaks. And definitely less electronics to replace when they fail. A lot of companies and appeasing the younger less experienced generations then their base buyer that doesn’t want all the changes. Not all change is good change.
I lately gave up my roof top tent and transitioned into sleeping inside the car. The sleep and handling of the car are great! I just had to learn packing lighter than I’m used to. So far I’m liking it!

You don’t need to pack lighter just buy a roof rack
Whoever at Toyota designed that volume button to be the new push start button has had their volume messed with in their car 😂😂 we suffer from their suffering lol
Yayaya
Nice …. Did you take a shower
In the middle east the volume knob is placed next to the usb c ports, which is much better placed for the driver and the passenger,.
You are giving the best real-world vids for the new LC so far. Thanks and great content
This review is very sincere I loved it! It has a wholesome approach and conveys the idea of what it's like to spend a night in the landy without your fancy heavy-duty camping gear. Good stuff Chloe!
Extremely helpful video. I had been waiting for a camping video. Thanks!!!
The seats not folding flush w the cargo floor is a pretty crappy design. Makes sleeping awkward. Sleeping on an angle kind of sucks.
Great vid and review of the new LC! As a in-car camper in my GX470, I was curious how comfortable it would be in the newest LC Gen. You should do more camping/overlanding content!
That jamboree looks epic
Thanks for sharing! I’m looking at the Land Cruiser as a potential next car. But it’s hard to leave my overlanding Subaru because it has a third row. But looking for more capability that the LC has to offer.
What an informative video Chloe. Thanks for the shout out. Love to see the Rumpl in action!
What mattress did you use? Looks like it fits perfectly into the LC. Cheers!
Not sure most LC shopper will ever want 3rd row seat? 4 seat max more than enough!
Entered for that trail hunter ❤ land cruiser looks nice. I dig those. Thanks for sharing girl!
Not sure if you had the chance with the new Lexus GX but was wondering if you can give feedback between these two cars for car camping.
There is option for 3rd row seatong, but maybe only in eu
Anybody else get the warning when they opened the link saying it doesn’t have a valid certificate and it may be “impersonating the website”?

Nope.
Negative, it was good for me 🤙🏼
Congratulations your new LC 👍 How do you like it so far even long road trip and how the driver side seat comfort? Did you get rid of your 80s or still have it?
Were you satisfied with the electric kettle and inverter combination?
Like the new LC, it just needs an off road version. Will probably get the Trailhunter 4Runner instead. Still like the roll down rear window too. Will keep my 5th gen another year or so until they have been out a while...
Do the 2nd row seat fold flat to the fronts ? Looks like they will, they have the holding straps on them. Then you wouldn't have the hump at the 2nd row seats.
That Land Cruiser Color is "Spicey Mustard"
I live 20 miles from Gilmer and had no idea this offroad jamboree even existed.
Thank you for the video. I've got a 2020 Tacoma TRD OR, but am looking into upgrading and the LC looks like a very nice vehicle.
6:56 My favorite color option
Just to remember, there's a weight limit where the battery is placed/located; You can see it on the white label warning.
Great review! What’s the brand of your mattress?
This is a great example of "Less for more of your money"...
ahh your channel is growing! I checked in a while back when you were modding your Tacoma, moved to New York so I never watch another YT video about cars, till Toyota dropped this beast.
would you pick the land cruiser OR the 4runner?
Can we get clarification from Toyota why the Landcruiser requires 91 octane but the same engine in the Taco does not? That’s almost a dealbreaker for me as it’s 60cent difference a gallon. and would offset the point of the hybrid.
Probably need 91 if pulling a loaded trailer. Toyota said in their introductory TH-cam video that it used 87 octane.
@@jimlelan4906 yeah, i’m starting to think that daily commuting, in eco mode, 87 is fine. Mountains/towing where normal or power mode may be needed 91
@@providentpathfinders219 after struggling with this disparity, I will probably end up using 91 octane. It’s just not worth damaging my new ride.
I wonder if someone will come out with a mattress to make it flat. That is the main thing I am not happy about with the new 6th gen 4 runner. In my 5th gen it folds down flat, its basically a deal breaker but I think I might just get a roof top tent and go that route. I wouldn't mind sleeping in the car but with that battery I am not sure if that is okay for health though.
Great video. Do you know what the dimensions of the sleeping area is?
Be careful about weight on the back deck and covering the air vents for the battery underneath that deck. Loved your video, definitely want to go to a Toyota Jamboree
Chloe, what do you think of the Land Cruiser compared with the TRD PRO models of Tacoma and 4Runner?
That cool box is perfect to store gummies.
Nice, I was there at Jambo with my Tacoma but now I have the LC 250; weird I’m just now seeing this!
Does the new Land Cruiser feels underpowered at all?
A hybrid, only takes premium fuel, and still gets less mpg than my Tacoma?
I don't know why toyota isn't offering the hybrid system for 4x2 trucks, but I'm betting manual locking hubs on the front axle will push fuel economy up to 27-28mpg. It's like they don't want a traditional SUV getting excellent fuel mileage.
What is the size of that mattress? I guess what I'm asking is what is the length/width coverage area with the rear seats laid flat?
Great video! Can you explain how running HVAC overnight works with Toyota Hybrid system? And would this work for winter camping? Thanks!
I'm disappointed at the gas mileage for the hybrid turbo hybrid of the fleet of vehicles. Something isn't adding up right.
The Honda Element LIVES! Thank you Toyota.
Haha you were just near my hometown “Tyler, Texas”
That’s a cool Prado.
I could have gotten this, but man over MSRP almost 90k for the first edition…. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The volume knob for Europe, Asia etc is located near usb ports lol
Ford adds the 7.2kW inverter in their hybrids, and other manufacturers follow. lol 2.4kW is pretty nice for camping. They need to have that in every vehicle at a minimum.
What's the height in inches of the cargo space??
Always love Chloe's energy
It's either the new Land Cruiser or the new 4runner so will see hard to decide both sick rides. Nice video Chloe as usual keep it coming...Peace! 😀👍
Too bad it does not fold flat. The old 4runner with the sliding rear duck was flat with the seat down.
Agree, but seems like you could just get a piece of styrofoam insulation cut to the right size and level it out?
Change my mind. The only car that is capable for overnight camping is land rover defender. Even a 6ft+ person can sleep inside comfortably. The perfect car for camping.
How was the air flow at night, did you have all of the windows shut?
Rain guards?
@@ChrisParayno I’m thinking insects getting in, mosquitoes
What brand mat and inflatable bed are you using in the Land Cruiser? Thanks.
The Rumpl Blanket is also sold out.
With the hybrid battery of this land cruiser, can we run the air conditioning or heat while sleeping inside for 8 hours? Thanks!
I'm curious about this too... Especially if you tinker with the auto climate control and keeping it on low to sip of electricity while still allowing some ac flow
@noctilucent7396 many car campers with hybrid siennas and Prius/rav4s are already enjoying car camping with heat/AC
@R56Cooper nice! Luxurious
last time i went camping like this i fell asleep in a Honda at the beach lol
The new Landcruiser is the new vehicle on my wishlist. I am going to enjoy my paid off Tacoma for a couple years I think and then see what happens!
Great adventure
How much is the stealership up charging for these?
Why is the passenger using the volume knob!!!?? Never, unless given permission lol Toyota knew exactly what they were doing 👏👏
Awwww I didn't go this year! Wish I would gone to see u
I really like the idea of the hybrid engine helping with climate control and not having to run a gas engine all night.
you know that this cruiser is sold in the rest of the world with a 2.8 Diesel engine? best mileage and range
Great review 👍🤗
16:08 Chloe probably misses Cody (her dog for those you that are new to this channel)
hello nice vid ¿what is the sleeping length from the rear door to the front seats ? what is the tallest a person can be to sleep straight in the new LC?

i thought it was only alaska and hawaii. i guess this is only for US
Look pretty good! Also nice review from you. I like this classic round lights and "mustard" color. Remind me retro 76, but in fully modern style. 🙂
That battery pack/platform in the back really kills this vehicle for me. That back needs to be totally flat to camp in and they need to offer a 3rd row.
You can get a GX premium with a third row for the same price of an LC. Just a dumb thing to whine about.

My 2nd gen Tacoma is still going strong. Not sure why these influencers switch cars so often. All those car payments could be spent traveling.

NEW TOYOTA LANDCRUISER ❤️ 👍
Great video!
Congratulations your new LC) awesome!!!
What makes you think it's hers. She flew in to Texas. I think it's a loaner is my guess.
I don't think it's hers. It's a press event. They probably invited her. Flew her out and provided transportation. Good press. Just sayin...
Only 5 foot 5 and weigh buck 05
Lucky you 😊 The video was fun watch enjoy the content.

Previous gen still costs $80k used unless they have 100k+ miles. No thanks.
Camping in an awesome LC is called glamping and is much better than any tent situation.
one day.... the dream car
Yeah tell the passenger. “No touchie” of the volume. 😂
I’ve totally lost interest in Toyota (despite having a 5th gen) after seeing the prices on the new tacomas. I’ll always be a Chloe fan though.
Go get a better job or a job period 🤷♂️
