Nice video, very informative. I ride a 1250 GSA and have a lot of the mods you talk about. I do have some comments though. The handle bar risers: whether you need them or not als depends on the length of the rider. I'm 6"4' and when I have the risers installed, I can stand comfortable exactly in the way you say. If I don't have them I feel really cramped. Even sitting down I feel better and have less pain in my back.Same for the windshield. I use a Puig shield which keeps me out of the wind. With the standard shield, I get it all in my face, not comfy at all. I use a Lone-Rider headlight protector, which you can buy with two layers, the front one is the metal one and the second is a perspex one, so if you want more light at night, you still have a protective layer. I think yours also has quite large holes. BMW makes very solid cilinder protection themselves. I use soft luggage too, btw. My bike is the HP GSA, which comes with a lot more protection than the standard bike. Btw the quick grip mount you show and do not use anymore, , also has a bigger edition for larger phones. I used the X grip you have in the past, but without the extra elastic band, your phone can come off as happened to me with my iPhone riding in the Alps in France.. Luckily a nice guy, found it and we got together ...
Another great video; thank you. I would add that the horn on my older GS Adventure was quite pathetic and I changed it for a Denali soundbomb, great not only for overtaking trucks but also preventing a last minute collision with a wild boar. I would rate this as a vital improvement but don't know if later bikes have more effective horns. In the current circumstances I would recommend buying products made in your own country rather than China; if you can afford to ride a BMW bike you don't need to be saving a few dollars on a front lamp protector.
Nice vid mate. Only criticism is the frequency of ads, spoils the continuity and pleasure for the concentrating viewer. I guess though that the revenue albeit probably small is welcome. You have a good style of presenting and interesting content
Just a comment on the skid plate, it does matter what you buy. If you are going to ride off road you need a frame mounted skid plate like Black Dog. Everything else might punch a hole in your engine. Not sure how yours is mounted but its an important difference
I put my risers, that also shift the bar closer to me, mainly to be more comfortable when just sitting while cruising. For the standing position alone I would not have done it.
Thanks for the nice video. Would you make a video on how to change various ride modes on late model R1200GS (like yours) such as turning on/off enduro mode, ABS, etc. I find the owner's manual not so easy to understand.
Can you tell me what part# you ordered from Ram Mount for the ball mounts on the handlebar risers? Their website has a million different options. I don’t want to clamp the phone mount to the handlebars but would love to mount it like you did, thanks!
Great video. Wish you'd put a list or a fe links of what you're describing out. Would make my scrolling backwards and forwards easier. The BMW nav device is so overpriced. So many other & better devices out there now. And I wish BMW would allow Android Auto & Apple Car Play on their tft display units. Have you ever tried the two finger brake & clutch levers? Thoughts? I've been using them for years and love them.
Had the Black Dog pegs but went back to Pivot Pegz... It easier to shift standing up..I'm 6 ft. Did you reflash your ECU to have the after-market pipe breathe better?
I agree with you . It difficult for me to get all the brand and company name or exact part name if he mentioned , like ali expresses. on video thats will be great
4:17 It's funny how that works isn't it? Everyone is upset that our manufacturing base is gone in the USA. They blame it on everything and everyone. But then, when faced with the exact reason it is happening many people think, well, it's just me and this one thing and go ahead and buy the Chinese knock-off. Yeah, that headlight cover is a ripped off design from AltRider who took the time to design it and set up manufacturing right here in the USA only to have to watch helplessly as China rips off yet another product. I will say this though, AltRider is insane with their pricing on this item at $170. They are almost begging China to steal it and it is kind of insulting they are charging that much for such a simple low material item. I imagine their mark up is huge on this item.
Really annoying that there aren't any foot options for the center stand, to prevent knocking the paint off, and start rusting. I sent my stands and crash bars to be powder coated. I think I'm going to fabricate some sort of wear pad from heavy stainless sheet, and try wrapping and riveting the existing feet.
Hi good moovie and a lot of infos, you mentioned that you ride in motorcross boots, do you feel comfortable with changing gear in so rigid boots? Im asking because i own r1200gs 2009 and recently purchased Vanucci VTB9 boots... it was ok in store but when i numped on a bike i was able to put only first gear. Im confused...
Great video! I also have a 17’ exclusive. I’ll consider the Nav V again as the Nav VI is pretty pricey. Good point on soft luggage. I’m surprised you don’t have additional lighting. Had a few drivers almost pull out in front of me because I don’t thing they see the unusual headlight all that well.
you have incorrectly installed the spring for the footrest. There are extra holes on both sides so that the spring is held in this hole. The spring should not rest on the screw head as you can see. Thanks for the video !
Essentially an American with a German bike telling us we should but bolt ons from China.Nice Deliverance haircut though. No affiliations to Sweeney Todd.
Great video! Thanks for sharing and steering me in the right direction. I am working on modding my 2019 R1200GS and it's slowly coming along. I bought a pair of turn signals/driving/brake lights from Weiser Technik and have really loved them. I have noticed how other drivers can see me better and keep a greater distance away. I would recommend these to anyone who rides on the road. Here is the link and thanks for the informative video. www.weisertechnik.com/collections/driving-lights-turn-signals/products/ultrabrights-extreme-2in1-led-drive-turn-signal-upgrades-white-amber-front-ext-dtc-bm01
I'm going to echo what another rider said below. It's time given what's going on in the world right now to take a HARD look at your buying habits regarding Chinese knock off products. The Chinese are not our friends guys, look elsewhere for EVERYTHING you buy!
17 min of advertising for expensive accessories strikes me as excessive. It is interesting how many small and larger companies must be involved in this niche market. I doubt the author paid for all these marvelous things out of pocket.
Why would you care? Are you that envious that you can't watch somebody showcase their upgrades? Just worry about yourself man and let other people do their thing.
What a comment to make! If he was being sponsored he wouldn't need to buy a cheapo product from China to protect his front lamp!!! I found the 17 minutes very interesting and useful.
You can’t be serious! There’s nothing in this video that hasn’t been covered hundreds of times before. What a waste of time. I clicked off after a couple of minutes.
Lol, attention everyone! DO NOT make any videos if you see that someone else has covered what it is that you want to talk about! Doug Osbo will get very upset about it and yell at you.

How do you like the 1250? I'm jealous :(
Valuable information for any dual sport or ADV bike owner. Thanks.
How about placing links to each item in the description. Some great mods there.
Beautiful set up on your bike. This bike is so unique and go anywhere Swiss Army knife of motorcycles.

So, buy a Harley?
2023 and the horn is still pathetic. It sounds like the Road Runner. I'll be looking to upgrade it soon.

Thanks for the tip
Nice video. I have a questiion - how do you clean your rims. I have the same ones and to make them clean is a nightmare...
Cool video. Those bag holders look same as Givi I have on my 850GS.
Great video...I"d love to get a 2017.5 but maybe an 18 because I was the TFT display.
I regret not getting a tft bike
@@BigRockMoto Can a TFT be added to an older GS perhaps ?

Great looking motorcycle, thanks for these vids(very informative)

I buy a lot of bike parts from Ali Express, perfectly good kit and great prices .
Great video Ian thank you!
Awesome as usual. Thank you.
You forgot about the saddleback mounts! What brand are they? Do they work with the original bmw bags? Keep up the good work!
Givi. I think they only work with Givi hard bags, or any soft luggage which is what I use
Good vid. What pannier racks are you running?
Best lockdown haircut ever.
4:16 😂how dare you. Another great video!
Well done learned a lot you did a great job knowledge and all perfect 👌
Metal hand guard?
Hit anything at speed and that hand guard is cutting your hand off they’re crazy

just curious if you've got a newer version of this.

I love that Christopher Walker rides ADV 🙊
Had the Black Dog pegs but went back to Pivot Pegz... It easier to shift standing up..I'm 6 ft.
Did you reflash your ECU to have the after-market pipe breathe better?
Great, Informative, Thoughtful vid man, but how about links to all these great mods??? huh???
I don't want to appear as though I am promoting certain brands or items.
@rollipolli he said where he got them, do a fkn search and don't be so lazy
I agree with you . It difficult for me to get all the brand and company name or exact part name if he mentioned , like ali expresses. on video thats will be great
You make me wanna buy a GSA and dress it up with TUSK bags!
do it!
Great video
was hoping for a sound sample after showing off the exhaust haha

Hi, could you provide the links to all the products you mention in your video?
Hi, any steering interference with the Barkbusters with the windshield or gas tank when fully locked?
No
Really annoying that there aren't any foot options for the center stand, to prevent knocking the paint off, and start rusting.
I sent my stands and crash bars to be powder coated. I think I'm going to fabricate some sort of wear pad from heavy stainless sheet, and try wrapping and riveting the existing feet.
I know of people who have replaced the GS windshield with the GSA one. Considered that? How tall are you?
Can you show how you mounted/attached the tank bag please?

Yes, it takes a lot of getting used to, also you may need to adjust your control levers
@@BigRockMoto ok I;ll try to familiar with Vanucci ;) Thanks for answer.

Is that Nate from The Office?

for the video !
Can you provide a link to the skid plate??
Interesting. Is it easy to do the oil maintenance with this FH MOTO skid plate on?
Yes
Great video, thanks. What part of California do you live in?
G-Lock phone mounting system. Pricey but worth it
Great, where did you buy the tank protector on the side?
Snakeskin - revzilla
Puig is indeed spanish and they can be found here: puig.tv/es
I was hoping to hear about any performance increase from the muffler upgrade.
It is very minor. Maybe a couple horsepower.
what about Hand sanitizer dispenser?..lol, but seriously nicely set-up machine to help social distance from KTM knobs!
It has toilet paper dispenser in the rear bag. And hand sanitizer in the tank bag.
Hi, where can I buy this skid plate FH MOTO?
Ebay

Nice upgrade. Not cheap.
what do ya do when you get bit by the farkle bug and you got no antidote ($$$) to cure it. ha!
On the video you made about the four things you didn't like about your bike, one complaint was the weight. You now have more farkles than bike.
The NAV VI has a MUCH better display and quite a number of better features.
Just buy an adventure model !
Hahahaha, starbucks gift card 🤣😂
Nav6 is not good, too many problems

I did actually. Except the tank bag, which they sent me to test.
I am not sponsored by anyone BTW.
Advertise away. Who cares how excessive or where these accessories come from. If they work for him the input is helpful.
