Guys, you missed the best part of this game: force power moves. Each character had a special attack powered by the blue force bar. I think it was L2 + triangle. Mace was the boss man with the lightsaber flying around his body as he crouched

My wife and I mastered the fuck outta this game. Beat it with every character on every setting. Unlocked the special characters and beat it some more. The game is definitely hard as hell but it kinda makes you obsessive about beating it because of that.
I totally agree. The naboo forest level where you have to jump through the trees was the bane of my existence. They thought this was hard with 10 droids on screen. It gets ridiculous later on. I don't think I ever got passed the 3rd level. I got pretty good at deflecting shots back at them but the damn camera angles and depth perception jumping killed me every time.
Okay, yes, granted. There are a few levels that are needlessly cruel. The game is a way better beat-'em-up than a platformer and it suffered whenever there was a platforming section. The two I remember were, the Naboo forest, of course. You had to really pay close attention to your shadow to nail those jumps and then the Theed Palace where you are platforming up the way and there are fucking STAP platforms constantly swooping by you. I don't really blame the camera that much. That was the era of terrible cameras. From Mario 64 to Tomb Raider to Crash Bandicoot, bad cameras were the defining trait of the console generation.

If I played today, I'd probably be just as bad as these guys, but it was very aggravating watching them, knowing how great the game can be when you know what you're doing.

Did this game pioneer the "throw your lightsabre and force pull it back to yourself like a boss" move? Cos it's the first place I saw it done and now it's in loads of games and stuff.
I loved this game! By the way: You can actually jump onto the projecting bits which shoot the lasers and won't get harmed neither by the lasers nor the floor. The game requires a bit of training and creative thinking sometimes. Also: Use the items and the special moves, they can make the game a lot easier.
My friend and I used to play this all the time! It was our first experience of a co-op game. I was always the one to miss the jump or go the wrong way.... Another GREAT co-op game is Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
I was mad into Phantom Menace in my teens. Loved this game way too much. The Darth maul glitch was hilarious, especially if you'd already unlocked him prior to the end boss.

You should also try ”Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” - the PC game from 1999. I used to play it as a kid, loved it, replayed it last year, still had loads of fun (maybe it was just nostalgia). I'm sure you guys will hate it.

It has a lot of characters, up to 4 player co-op, no split screen, marvel trivia in base (that'd be fun to watch you guys do) and again rad combos! You could actually do the thing with Iron Man blasting his beam on Cap's shield. There's unique co-op combos with all characters I think. It came on in mid-2000s so it's on Xbox. P.S. Thanks for ruining my childhood, ya dickheads!

Mace Windu was the real easy mode. Never managed to beat Darth Maul with either Plo or Adi Gallia.
