My s21 is coming this week and I was looking for a good cases that are stylish and durable so I was looking on Amazon and couldn’t find any case that I liked but this video really helped me a lot! I did know that Samsung had these cases but I didn’t know how they felt and if they actually protect the phone. Thank you so much for making this video to help people like me:) this video really helped me a lot! I think I’m going with the silicone case:) thank you again😁
I think the leather case was the best one. I like the other ones like one with the LED but the leather one was the best in my opinion. Probably will get one for my s21 soon.
Man this review is awesome. You tested every single aspects that people consider when they about to buy a case. Especially those are the official case by Samsung. I planned to buy the protective standing cover for my S21 and now I changed my mind thanks to your video. I also wont be happy with camera wobble, so I guess I'm going with my old friend Spigen or Ringke. Thankyou for providing this review man!
Thanks very much, much appreciated and glad it was useful to you. If you haven't already seen, check out my S21 Spigen Case reviews too! th-cam.com/video/tqO0G4rTV48/w-d-xo.html
@@AndroidAddicts I already watched it. Ordered the liquid crystal just today. Also mine is the phantom white too so this review is super helpful for me.
I got the clear protective cover 😄. It makes the violet s21 look like a rich indigo, I think it's very pretty! I can confirm about the scuff marks, it just appeared on mine within the first few minutes. They may have made sure that the inside of the case is slightly softer than the phone, so the phone itself doesn't get scratched by the hard plastic case. With this combination, the marks aren't noticeable when the case is on. I think that the case probably helps with drop prevention, with the ribbed sides and the option for wrist strap, but not as much with drop protection. The buttons are very clicky and satisfying on mine. It might be a good idea to consider a camera area skin with some of these cases, until we know how easily they scratch.
I definitely wanna try getting that case at some point just because it looks great aesthetically. Idk if its worth $40 tho just from how easy it scuffs 🙁
Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm glad it wasn't just me who managed to scuff the case! As you say though, the phone itself doesn't mark so it's not the end of the work 😊👍 I do have some Spigen lens protectors which I might make a video on if there is any interest
Thank you. I bought the clear standing cover by accident - don't think I will keep it though. The stand is too bulky for my taste. Really wantedt the leather cover if it wasn't for the poor screen protection. Two things though: 1. You really should take a closer look at a ruler - a couple of millimeters is alot on a cover. 2. Your method for testing screen protection doesn't make sense. If you put a black cover that 100% straight on a perfectly even surface you shouldn't be able to see light no matter how low/high the edge or angle is. Do this test with anything straigt like a metal ruler and you will still be able to see dancing fingers. Maybe you could put a ruler on top of the screen and look closely at the edge - maybe test if you can slide a piece of paper under the ruler. Just a suggestion 😉
Completely agree! I realised when I did a recent case review that seeign my fingers through meant pretty much nothing 😅 so in newer videos I just show a close-up of the screen protection from an angle which makes more sense. And yes, agree about the measurements so thanks for the feedback!
@@AndroidAddicts Cool... I will take a look at the other review. However, you did show every angle nicely. This made it easy to judge how much protection they give anyway. Thx.
I thought the same about the dancing fingers test... but I'm amazed by your openness to feedback and acceptance, even publicly! That's super rare, got subscribed just for that. Ps. The ruler & paper test would be great!
I've actually had no issues with Samsung cases over the last couple of years but yes, I also like Spigen cases very much. I've got a Spigen version of this video once they all finally arrive in the post!
It's a great case but is more wobbly than last year sadly. If you want to see the black one then you can see my review for it on the S20 Ultra 😎👍 th-cam.com/video/KW6_yIizvQc/w-d-xo.html
Very detailed and thorough review, enjoyed every minute! I'm going for the Clear Standing one as well. P.S. I loved your voice! it's so soothing and pleasant to listen to
Excellent review very handy as been looking at all these cases and can’t decide. Does the clear view book cover allow you to stand it up to watch videos?
Thanks very much! The 'View Cover' cases do not naturally allow you to bend them back to form a stand. I guess it would be possible to fold them backwards and crease them back but I doubt they'd have enough 'grip' to hold the pone up and you'd ruin the case too 😅
Thanks for the review! I just got my S21 today and now I need a cover. Kinda disappointed the wallet one only lets you hold one card. I think I'll go with the LCD one until I find a "prettier" one somewhere else.
No problem! Yeah it is a shame, I put 2 cards in my S20 Ultra version last year and I could hear the glue tearing away slightly from the case so it really is just for one.
I got the clear protective cover for my S21 ultra at a great price of 15 US dollars. I plan to have that be my everyday case then get a nicer case for when I'm out and about.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case is second best case I ever had, with best protection I ever had. Best case but with minimal protection was Samsung Clear Cover Case which was hard plastic cover for S6 - S10, no yellowing at all of course and wearing only depend on your using. Personally I am not big fan of all TPU cases, especially them from Samsung because they are almost impossible to clean, only solution is soap and water. Yes and Samsung Standing Clear Cover which is hard TPU and plastic is very poor quality (sratches and stains on stand straight from factory) with not so tactile buttons as Spigen have. PS. All TPU cases also these with plastic backs are yellowing. I had already four Spigen Ultra Hybrid Cases for iPhone XR, all of them yellowed, back and also sides (carrying in jeans), it takes about 3/4 year.
i have got the smart led cover thanks to your review, it is quite good. i just have a problem with it showing rainy icon when camera is open and the led app opening on notification bar
How strange, I haven't noticed that with the one I have. You could try uninstalling the LED Cover app and then letting it re-download (or just clear the App data from Settings. You'll obviously lose any customisation you've done though ...
@@AndroidAddicts i figured it out, its not an issue, its just an odd feature. When the front camera is being used via camera app, then the led app appears in notification bar. It lets me swipe through each of the default led icons and preview them on the cover. It also remembers the last used led icon, so for me, the last used one was rainy icon so it was being shown everytime camera app was open.
I have the ONN case for the s21 Ultra. it is very thick and protective, but this case sucks. it's diagonally grained so you cannot add an aftermarket safety ring. no magnet. no wireless charging. and what i really don't like is the feel in your hands. the diagonal grains on the back make it feel slippery. I give it a 3/10. so.. yeah.. an "F" grade
I came here to see if anyone else got the clear standing one and it broke all at the side like mine but it seems I'm just unlucky 😢 I might glue the stand to another one
I've been using the smart clear view cover for about 7 months. It's pretty shitty honestly. That narrow strip gives bugger all functionality. This new design is just a completely backwards step. I had the same kind of cover a few phones ago, except for that the front "screen" was a big square. Basically half the size of the full screen. It was extremely usable and gave you much greater control of things without opening the phone proper. You could even set it with its own smaller wallpaper!
@@putuadhik Hey buddy. Honestly I don't recommend it. As I said, I find the strip on the side far too small to actually be very functional. It doesn't display anything that you can't see more clearly on the standard Always On display. I suppose if you have concerns about protecting the screen from any impact then you might enjoy it. It's certainly well made. But for convenience and basic protection I'd go with a case with no front cover and just apply a screen protector. But of course, that's just my opinion 🙂👍
You can get all these cases for the S21+ as well yes. If you use any of the links in the description you'll be able to select the S21+ or S21 Ultra from the Amazon page

Managed to score the white led backcover for €15,- seems like a great deal!

Yeah it's a shame that yellowing occurs. I had the same with my Spigen case for my S8. After about 3 years it started yellowing.
@@AndroidAddicts 3 years? Wow you are lucky man. 😜
What about battery life with Smart LED Cover? :)
