Love how the dog inspects when you reel in to see if / what you've caught. 😆
That canal (and the Gloucester and Sharpness canal) carried a lot of goods in big barges in years gone by, from Goole docks on that canal and from the Sharpness docks on the Gloucester Sharpness, oil is still occasionally carried on the Aire & Calder and grain and aggregates in the past. Great fishing Paul, James and Monty!

What have you had out of there? I fish it too.. been getting some big perch but not much else? Iv only just started fishing for the bait fish tho as I was lure fishing for the perch and pike.. when iv fished with worm I still just caught perch? Any advice welcome lol
How do you go about fishing in matches on the air and calder? Would love to know.. can't seem to find any info really.
Had a lovely day on canal where I love caught a few perch one bit my hook off though but I think it’s because the line had rotted 👍

The boat didn’t make much difference on the day, and yes James is field testing some luggage👍
The Aire & Calder at Woodlesford is my local canal and it has similar characteristics to the section in the clip - wide and deep. There are plenty of fish, including big chub and decent shoals of proper bream. Well worth a pleasure session !

Another classic video boys i always use to fish the canals Shropshire union Lancaster Leeds Liverpool but unfortunately there are to many idiots beating up and mugging anglers for there gear sad ALIEN
