I started fishing in 2019 when I was 30. Wished I'd started 30 years earlier. But when I searched youtube, your videos were what popped up. So I watched them. And 5 years later I'm still watching the old favourites, and this is chief amongst them. Thankyou!
@@cadencefishinguk for me, and I was an absolute beginner when I first saw them, it all just made so much sense. It wasn't heavy on rigs, just the info I needed, it was great to see that bread was a good bait. The videos just seemed like fishing was very accessible and that it was possible I could go to my local canal and do the same. And I did!
What are you doing too me James. In 30 years of fishing I've never considered buying a pole. Now I am considering it however being retired I will sadly never be able to buy the Cadence pole but I will get a cheaper one to start with. Great video guys with excellent camera work as usual, tight lines
Another great video James and using a good old ASI box. A dark green one was the first "proper" box I bought many years ago and if the Wife knew what I paid for it she wouldn't have been pleased. They had integral legs, pole rest (good enough for the poles of yester year) footplate and a big groundbait tray that was stored underneath. Only problem was they weighed a ton but the top half slid off to form a canal stool. Still see the odd one on eBay.
I'm just getting back into fishing and have really enjoyed your videos. Great filming, well explained tactics and rigs and you get to see the bites!! YThanks and keep them coming!
Another fantastic video, great to see Cadence showcasing Rivers and Canal fishing. The traditional venues that so many of us grew up on and still fish. Hopefully will see more people of all ages getting back on these venues that are full of fish. Well done
Nice one James, good to see a professional fishing all types of venues, not just lakes full of F1s, especially as many you fish are my own stomping ground including this canal. Easy straight to the point videos. Great.
Yet again another beautifully produced video, this time demonstrating the gentle art of bread fishing. Despite the cold weather the film clearly showed how much James, and Monty, enjoyed a red letter day and what a cracking net of fish. Really fired me up to fish canals and BAA membership just ordered! Also looking forward to seeing the new whip.
Hi James that is one of the most enjoyable videos you have done. Great to see simple baits and tactics used to great effect and all on a short pole, with just a bit of bread, just goes to show you don’t need a £3000 plus pole. When I win the lottery I’m going to make Ian an offer he can’t refuse to shoot my videos! By the way great to see an old ASI box still going strong. Best wishes to all, Tight Lines.
Hi James great video! we were the couple who you had a chat with while making the video I’m the one who’s been fishing for the carp on that stretch. I always enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work! Regards Sean.
I instantly recognised it from the thumbnail ! That's the Worcester canal, the Droitwich is under the bridge on the left. maps.app.goo.gl/GLumfhCkVcyL3KAj9 I used to fish that spot as a kid back in the 60's. We'd fish hard against the boats for roach, gudgeon and crucian carp.
Great video. Gave this peg a whirl last week. It was cold but only the first frost so I’m thinking that the bream didn’t show up for that reason. Not a single boat passed through. I had 2 skimmers (6oz ish) down the track on punch and one roach tight over to the boat. The perch on the worm saved the day really. Fished worm tight over to boat over chopped worm. 13 fish in 4 hours. Hard day, but I will be back.
James good video l was surprised you didn't catch in the shadow of the boat l tend to find fish like the dark and also the cover especially perch still great fishing and wonderful bream and roach a good lesson and informative
I don’t think I’ve ever caught a fish on caster on the Birmingham and Worcester canal! Not sure if I’m fishing correctly with them or not but I always have found that casters as loose feed with chopped worm is the best bait to pot in tight over with worm on the hook for perch and the odd bream
Great vid, are you a 'bob mortimer' tribute act. ? Learnt a lot about canal fishing from that. . Patience, minimal water disturbance and small bait offering. . 👍
Fantastic net of fish. Question: If a boat had come through the peg, would you have automatically re-fed the deep line or would you be confident that the fish would resettle on it without a top-up? I still use my Team England ASI box as well - a design classic!
Great vid again Jamie, two questions.1) what's happened to your matchbox? I bet that asi box is heavy2) Good point about whip from Nicklas , make sure it's 10m please, that's my main weapon on canals I find 9m will not be long enough especially if you fish slightly left and right of your swim. If you make it as good as the tourney ones I have I will defo be having one
Nice video James. To avoid the hassle, why not whip fishing? More enjoyable, less language and very nice felling. You produced very nice and good whips. I very much enjoyed and enjoying your videos. The best on TH-cam. Best regards and tight line.
Cadence is a new brand that actually originated from the USA. My ASi box is 27 years old now! I still like using it on canals as they are so compact on the bank and I don't need to take a load of gear.
Hi Liam, The CP2000 is a big step up from the Superteam Competition. Its much stiffer and better balanced at the longest lengths (14.5 and 16m). I sold my Superteam pole a few years ago. Some of the guys in the team still have them and they are still going strong! Please send me an email to jcrobbins@cadencefishing.com and I'll try and help. Cheers James
nice video m8.but try 2 slices off bread 30 sec in the microwave.then roll them together whit a kithen roller.put them in silverpaper in fridge over night.next day it will be great hookbaite.greets from belgium.
I used to fish with a guy who used to throw rocks into his keepnet when he wasn't catching & sneak fish in when he was catching or vica versa so the competition didnt know what he was catching 🎣✨️
£999 for the 13m pole. We are selling The extensions and spares seperatly. So you can select exactly what package you want. We will confirm all the final pricing next month and add to our website: www.cadencefishing.com

Great vid James. Monty
Hi James
Great video . Could you tell me what make floats you were using when you fished the canal?
Hi James.
Apologies if it's already been asked.
What will be the RRP on these new poles? Do they have side pullers on the power tops?
Lovely video, a pleasure to watch.
Would be nice for a what3words address for where you are.
Keep it up 👍

Where did the name Cadence come from and how old is your seat box.
shed43a James found his seat box in a cave on an archaeological dig😀😜
Cadence is a new brand that actually originated from the USA. My ASi box is 27 years old now! I still like using it on canals as they are so compact on the bank and I don't need to take a load of gear.
Found Queen Boadicea's chariot the same day........... "and she was still using it"
Great vid
Great angling. Can you get your dog a dry matt for the damp cold banks in the winter?
He's a Labrador...loves it cold...🤣
Hi James, what make of float do you use for punch fishing on canals?
Nice to see an old ASI box
How about the video? ;)

Bit harsh Luke! I think he means he has developed the prototype for a while and now he is excited to use it on camera.
