The artistry of hair, makeup, costume, set design and photography are, of course, essential to the final product, but for me the quality of the series begins and ends with the research and the stories that Peter Morgan was able to cull from it. I'd love to hear more about how the stories options were identified, how the stories were selected from among the options, and then how the chosen stories were mined for the content that would tell us something about the characters.
Too bad that Peter decided not to tell the truth through major portions of the crown. He has left a lasting impression of dishonesty for generations to come.

I'm addicted and watch The Crown every day. I can hear a score and know what scene it was from. Or a picture. But I must say Season 1 was the best.

This was a drama based on real people and Peter did a fantastic job. It was not a documentary. Most intelligent people know this.
