I've had many dogs get lepto.. I live in the woods , there's ALL kinds of critters & sitting puddles around.. Pennecillin will clear it up QUICK! You'll know right off if your dog has it because it acts ALLOT like parvo.. Dog will get sick, not eat, drop weight super fast & have the diareah & dehydration.. Let the dog rest as much as it wants & make sure u keep them hydrated.. Not eating for a couple days won't kill them, but dehydration will
My dog has been sick and may have leptospirosis. He's going to be tested for that in 2 days along with an aspiration of the liver. While hes been sick I've done a lot of research. The vaccine is not very effective while the treatment for the bacteria is very effective.

We took care of Chico the best we could for as long as possible but by the time we found out what the problem was it wasn't possible for him to recover from it :-( With any illness it's important for the dog (or the person) to stay hydrated. IV fluids or even a fluid injection under the skin helps to replace what the patient has lost. We did this several times for Chico and each time he got the fluid he seemed to feel dramatically better even though the underlying problem was still there. I hope that your situation works out well :-)

I cured my two puppies from leptospirosis in our house. They have both icterus, kidney and liver problem. condolence again. 😭
