Grateful for your videos. When my dog was a 3 month puppy, the vet wanted him to get this vax, just in case! No way would I do that! No varmints or standing water near us. I no longer go to that vet. We desperately need more holistic vets as yourself❤

Dear Doc. You are awesome! Please ignore nasty comments from close-minded people. Had dogs all my life. Last one was raised, fed , vaccinated all accordingly to "science ". Died of a cancer of the lining of a stomach at only 8 ( medium bread). Was it " Blue Buffalo " food that was heavily promoted as the healthy choice, or annual multi shoots and all the tick meds? Done with "science ". Don't stop what you doing. Best wishes to you and yours.

It would be so awesome if you had the desire and time to start your own school for new veterinarians. This would usher in a whole new breed of doctors. It would be a mammoth undertaking, though.

My adopted pup got the vaccine and developed a large lump. I took her back to the vet and he said it was at the injection site and it meant “it was working”. Thankfully after a light therapy treatment the lump went down. After I researched it, I was appalled at how many complications there are with that one vaccine 😢

My frenchie was diagnosed autoimmune disease after a vaccination shot, I almost lost her 😢. Another shot will definitely kill her at this point. Once I was afraid of those diseases, but right now I am more afraid of the vaccines that they're trying to give my dogs. We are now living a healthy lifestyle, good food (species appropriate) with lots of antioxidants, Omega 3, leafy greens, etc. Thank you for all this information! I have lepto vaccine PTSD after watching multiple puppies and dogs die right before my eyes on the table at the vet where I worked as a surgical tech within seconds of getting this shot. Some were revived with epinephrine but many were not. My dogs run in the woods daily wading through puddles and standing water and have for 30+ years and they have never had, nor will they ever get a lepto vaccine.

my aussie nearly died in my arms from this fkn vaccine. I'll never give it to another dog I own ever again. Imagine the trauma of your 12wk old puppy gasping for breath and have a full blown anaphylactic shock 8 hours after this damn shot. That was me. Treating this disease is LESS HARMFUL than the vaccine and with only a 30% chance of the shot actually protecting against the numerous strains of lepto, it simple is NOT worth it. doxycycline is a 5$ RX. A dead puppy from a lepto vaccine has no price.

I had my Baby borded at the vets office for about a month. We had to do work on our house. She went down one day after being fine all the rest of the time. She was vaccinated for lepto but they treated her for it while they waited on the results. She died in a day. They said it came back positive for lepto from a raccoon. I still say it was bs. If she got it, she got it there .

The vaccine is now combined with the 7 way shots now. I did NOT want my dogs vaccinated for this, but the vet actually vaccinated in a 'booster shot' for this vaccine alone, despite the fact I left the dog for a teeth cleaning , no extractions permitted and nothing else, specifically no booster. I had read that depending on the vaccine it was possible to cause it to shed the disease organism. Sure enough about exactly a week later I started to get sick. I was very sick for a while until I fixed it myself...no, not saying how. I cannot find a decent vet any more. There is some kind of organized for maximum profit vet group out there. They all belong around here, the old country vets seems they were hounded by the vets in the 'organized group' until they just surrendered their licenses like you. THE NEW VETS ALL SUCK. Luckily I know a few things my old retired vet taught me over the years. I trust you and your advice it is a lot like his with the minimalist approach, not the maximum profit ideaology.

Years ago the vet recommended the lepto vaccine for my 5 month old puppy. We left the vet office around 5 pm. He cried all night and in the morning I discovered he had hives all over his abdomen and swelling around his eyes. I called the vet and said he obviously had a reaction to the vaccine. The vet did not want to admit the vaccine was the cause for hives, but did have me bring him in and he was given a shot of benadryl.

it has to be specifically benadryl allergy aka pure diphenhydramine. if there are any other components mixed in, it's NOT dog safe. it's also better to break the tablet in half or crush and mix in food for the absolute fastest ingestion possible.

How I wish this video was available six months ago, and I so appreciate all the good advice you offer. I took my 120lb Akita to the vet for a nail trim (I'm a senior and it's too much for me anymore). I walked out after what amounted to a strong sales pitch, with an expensive bill for two vaccines, one of which was for lepto. I'd never heard of it before and the traveling vet who was seeing patients that day went into great detail about the dangers and proliferance of it in wildlife in our neck of the woods. She made it sound like he could get it just walking our daily neighborhood walks. My dog got very sick: for two days he wouldn't eat, drank little, could hardly get him to get up to go outside for a potty break. He gradually became more himself over the next week, but I immediately called the vet and cancelled the second dose he was supposed to get a month later. Never again.

I have a wonderful vet who doesn’t believe in over vaccinating our dog but lepto he definitely recommends so I do it. However, people should know that there is a higher risk for an allergic reaction so my vet gives him Benadryl mixed with it for precaution. By the way Dr Jones I just noticed you’re almost at a million subscribers that’s amazing and so deserved! Thank you for all your information!

    • @hoihoipoipoi
      @hoihoipoipoi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

it's an extremely high chance of allergic reaction. my aussie nearly died from this vaccine and people need to be educated on the risks of it. it's actually far LESS dangerous to get the bacteria and cure it with common antibiotic than risk your dog literally dying some hours after this shot. also unlike most vaccines this one doesnt present symptoms immediately. they will present hours later, often late at night leaving you to scramble for an ER vet.

Disease disease disease. When do you guys ever stop this is sickening. My dogs have the best vaccine in the world it's called 'immune system' Mostly raw food, homemade dog food with all kinds of Vegetables Seasalt Seaweed
Garlic chick pea . Keep feeding the canned food to Your dogs and then you'll be surprised of the diseased outcome. My dog's on excellent Shape. No health issues. They are over ten years old the average person would think they five. Beautiful coat. Also, you guys do not be surprised if your dog have health issues a developed them after getting spayed and neutered. Why not giving the female's a hysterectomy and let them keep their ovaries. Why do you guys think they put on weight after the procedures. Over the years why would that not be contributed to other health issues? I mean, even as of vet. A little bit of common sense can go a long ways . Responsible dog ownership would be the right thing to do instead of neutering in spaying Just cutting away oregons that have crucial functions in the body. And then wanna be surprised when they get sick over the years😂.

My Irish Wolfhounds both got the lepto-vaccine in the summer, after our vet advised us to get it because of where we live (quite secluded, lots of forests and wildlife) two days after the vaccination one of my dogs got his first seizure. He never had any health issues before. He was now diagnosed with epilepsy, after having had 3 more seizures which where terrifying for him and for us. Our dog is on cbd oil and doing well! In NYC, it’s pretty common for vets to recommend it. There are tons of wild raccoons, rats, and standing water everywhere. The soil is likely contaminated, especially after it rains and snows. My vet recommends it yearly, especially with my having a service dog. He’s never had an issue after getting it. While I wish we didn’t need to use it, it makes sense for our situation. My boy sometimes ends up with minor scrapes from scratching an itch and playing. You just never know if your dog may end up with an open wound. They also sniff everything and occasionally like to briefly lick things as one of their ways of understanding their world. The vet we use is really not generally pushy about stuff nor does their practice attempt to upsell everything (quite the opposite), so when he said he really felt it was necessary, I followed his advice. Thankfully, my boy has been healthy and has had no side effects.

A couple of months late I took her to get vaccinated since I no longer trusted what the shelter told me. That evening she was extremely lethargic so I called the vet the next day. I had an interesting discussion with my vet about this. She was automatically going to jab my dog for this without consent when I went in for something else. She wasn't happy looking at her face when I gave her data and research to back up why I wasn't vaccinating my dog. As I also said to her, he doesn’t drink out of muddy puddles etc, we always carry fresh water with us for both our dogs and they've both got a great "leave it" cue. So if I think either of them are going to drink out of standing water I can move them away from it and offer them fresh water.

They did the iv treatment, they even had to do blood transfusions on him. It all started because he threw up and i took him in to be looked at. Im a veteran with severe ptsd and he was my service animal, best friend, my saviour, and my world. The vet didnt have the lepto test on hand so it was never confirmed. I just want to have a second opinion on if it is what truly took him from me. Its killing me not knowing. I feel like ive failed my battle buddy. My ptsd attacks have increased without him and the world feels very dark and alone. I respect and trust your opinion and truly wish you would reconsider and just look at his records so i can find closure in this.

I had a female Maltese, Gidget, who developed IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia) from a rabies vax. She was older at the time (8 or 9). After a year, the vet managed to pull her out of it and she lived another several years. It was so scary and she never had another shot. I had a letter from the vet so I could get her groomed without even a bordatella. Before this, she’s had the Lyme vax and leptospirosis. After the IMHA episode, the vet recommended no leptospirosis for my two cocker spaniels who are prone to issues from vaxes. I do worry about it because we live in the woods but our yard is fenced so the risk of lepto under these circumstances is low. I miss my Gidgie. ♥️

I had a dog die of Lepto. My seven year old labrador. My first dog. Let me tell you about a dog dying from lepto. It was a slow death. It took her three weeks to die. Every time we touched her we had to dunk our hands into a bucket of disinfectant. Clean up her puke or her excrement or urine? Dunk. Pet her? dunk. Wash her water bowl? dunk, wash her bedding, dunk. Imagine what all of our hands looked like after submerging to the elbows in a water/dettol solution for several weeks. Raw is an understatement. But lepto is a zoonotic disease and can easily spready to human beings. Any of you every watch your dog die for 3 weeks? Watch as their kidney and liver function goes down a notch every single day?! Finally, on the last day she lay by a window, her special wait for Papa window, waiting for her Papa to come home. She was his special girl. She adored him above all others. He had driven to the city with a friend in a last ditch effort to get medicine for her. Going to the city from our jungle village was an all day affair back then. There was no internet. There were no cellphones, heck we had only gotten a landline phone the previous year. He left in the AM and returned around 7 PM. She was so weak she couldn't hold her head up, so I stacked towels under her head so she could look for her Papa, waiting for him to come home. I called off work to be by her side. Papa finally came home. I carried her to the verandah, and as he walked from the motorcycle to wards she house, she wagged her tail a little and then she began convulsing in my lap, screaming in pain, voiding her bowels in extremis and then she died. It was a pretty agonizing minute where she contorted in what must have been a terrible heart attack. We were warned not to get another pet for at least a year as the infection may still be in the yard where she peed. This was a different country where vets won't euthanize, so we didn't even have that option. But if you're thinking about whether or not to vaccinate, I thought you should hear this story as well. Rest in Peace Momo. You and Papa are together at last.

I have spent over 1500in the last 5 months. The veterinarian says they don’t know what her issues are . I live in the woods and have cats dogs rodents and have many other wild animals in my area’s. They found coccidia and fungus’s in her ears now she has kidney issues she is 11years old. And the vets say they don’t know anything about her issues.so what to do they treat one ear the other gets infected. I keep going back and they never are on top of anything. I call and ask about follow ups they say no so it’s a different story each time with an office visit. Very frustrating and sad. It seems to be about Money period. I am 74 And need medical care for myself but refuse to neglect her. Got any suggestions ?
Love you & your show and the absolute truth . I left the medical field for the same reasons you left your practice.

My puppy (8months now, 4-5months at the time) did get the lepto vaccine bc she’s wild and dove into a swampy mud puddle by my house and went for something floating in the water, almost got it in her mouth 😑definitely got some of the goop in her mouth. Ate deer poop and other unknown animals poop, stuck her snout in rainy mud puddle water, etc. She was fine, is completely healthy & thank god had no reaction to the vaccine. Fortunately she has since stopped eating random shit & diving into dirty swampy water/puddles, so she should be good on getting that vaccine in the future. She did, however, have a horrible reaction to the rabies vaccine & she now hates the vet. Unfortunately I live in a state where the vaccine is required- so she’ll need one again next year & I’m dreading the day. 😰

@@ladyfarrier5949 …regardless, I think it’s required by law, no? I think re-vaccination is required within 1 year of the first. Lepto came to our area so the Vet gave my 10 pound Maltese the vaccine. The side of her face started to swell, she became lethargic, the swelling and paralysis set on the side where she was swollen. I called the vet and I got the voice mail. She. never called back. I sat with her for 8 hours watching to make sure the swelling didn't spread. I was so worried about her breathing. She slowly recovered. 2 days later the vet called and took our information to give to the company. I was then told,"yes, we are seeing some very concerning side effects with that vaccine." WAS I MAD! I no longer use that vet. I wish I had seen your video first. Thank you for giving us the truth. You have our trust and respect!

A couple months ago my local vet said my dog was due for Lepto and Bordatella. I requested a Titer test instead and they said they don’t do Titer testing but talked me into getting the Lepto. I wasn’t going to originally and my dog always does his business and wants to come right back inside and never drinks still water (not that we have any). Nervous, I allowed them to give him the Lepto and since then he has had red itchy skin on his genital area. He also started scooting his but on the carpet which he never did before hand. I wish I could go back and never said yes. Now I have to rebuild his immune system.

So far he’s healthy but I’m sick of all the vaccines! We do walk daily in the woods and he loves the creek. I don’t let him in the creek much but only if it’s running clear and it’s cool and not hot. Since I stopped using them I never had parvo, kennel cough or any other infectious diseases. When I used the injections I had dealt with a few outbreaks in my kennel.
