Yay! Easy breezy thank you. I replaced the clock spring in my steering column. I'm not finding my error on the steering menu to gain back my driver functions. Also my cruise control quit functioning. Help if you can please.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. To be honest I dont know what the issue is without looking at it. If you have replaced the clock spring then it just might need a reset or something. Sorry I wasn't much help.
@@stuffoflardohfortheloveof I think dianhlbrk is correct. We have a model yr 2012 ( from new ) and a DRL needs replacing. I watched this video on a 2011 model " th-cam.com/video/uS-HwiVidHk/w-d-xo.html " and it looks more difficult than this video. VW introduced the Passat B7 in 2011, but replaced it with the B8 in 2015, so perhaps the DRL specification changed in 2015.
@@stuffoflardohfortheloveof Apologies, I've re watched the video on the 2011 model again, and it is almost identical to that of the 2015 that has the DRL in-bumper. A fairly simple job.
This video doesn't apply to 2012 passat. You have to take the fender well out to access the bulb. That means you have to remove the wheel in order to get To the thunder well
This is incorrect for 2017 Passat. You don't need to remove the housing to replace the bulb. Remove the 3 screws near the front wheels to access the back of the light and replace the bulb.
@@M_E_G_805 no worries next one comes in I'll do a video how to do it your way. To be honest I haven't had any issue replacing them this way ever. Anyway thanks for watching.
Brill....just did it as per your vid. Ta very much👍🏴

is this a different kind of fog light? most b7 passats have a reflector piece towards the middle of the bumper.. this looks different
To be honest I cant remember other Passats. You might be right but on this on it had this type, maybe a facelift
They have H 7 bulb
What bulb is it ?
PY 21 W

You could do it that way but dont you think this is much easier. Anyway thanks for watching really appreciate it
@@TEAMR4ULTV no because you risk breaking/cracking/denting the housing of the fog light. Through the back is minimally invasive.

I have a 2016 and it doesnt have the same screws on the front, there was a face lift in 2016 and this fog light might have been part of the change.
