I gave the test last year and was shortlisted for its interview (just Fsc knowledge and no coaching academy ) but then my mcat was cleared with good grades. So preferred Govt. Seat over AKU. (kafi sasta par rha tha 😁)

Gave NUMS , idk whats the hype , only beneficial if you are going for PC seat because you can apply on their open merit seats on basis of ur MCAT scores now .
Fatima Tahir , PC seat is quota for army seats , as NUMS is army sponsored and mostly used for Med clgs affliated with CMHs , do give it as a practice test for MCAT pretty helpful

Hi I’m a international student (Australia) currently in year 10. After graduating (VCE) I am planning to come to Karachi and study medicine because it’s quit hard to get into medical here. Even though it’s quit early for me to be thinking about the next couple of years but I need to start preparing myself, I would really appreciate some advice from you guys like the structure and what grades will I be needing, which University is best and a bit more easier to get in to. I would also like to know what subjects are 100 percent compulsory for medical (I was on the Aku website but didn’t find all the info I was looking for) Thank You guys very much for this video but I would also love it if you guys could answer my questions. :)

For AKU Interview. Is there necessary to join any english center to improve your speaking and communication skills. Like I'm a student who can write and read English but couldn't speak properly with random person. Is this is important to achieve that skills. Or we leave it Just confusing is that intervirew is english based? Because we r not british. Is urdu is enough??
asslamo alaikum, sorry about a lengthy comment and so many questions but need your guidance the syllabus on aku website is of monstrous size and seems impossible to cover/retain in memory that in 2-3 months, especially the chemistry syllabus is around 80% different from punjab textbooks. it includes topics such as s and p block elements, d and f block elements which have very different contents than punjab textbook board and even reactions and preparations of organic chemistry doesn't match with punjab board books and analytical chemistry, biochemistry, industrial chemistry, amines, are also not in punjab books. how did you covered such large number of topics as you had few days between your alevel exams and aku test and many topics like floral formulas, kingdom animalia are also not included in a level. and i have heard students saying that they only include topics common between fsc and a level. MASHAALLAH as you have cleared the test can you tell the topics you remember that were majorly included in the test. also does Barron and Kaplan books help in covering syllabus. regards

My daughter has to take test this yr .....she applied on SAT basis last yr n only in interview was disqualified ....this yr they ve asked her to take exam as she is now studying in pak med school .....so how much is the passing score n u think would make one further shortlisted

What about fluid dynamics in phy? It’s in Punjab board but not in Sindh one. So should I be focusing on it?

Family portion does come , but aint PTB too short ? As compared to NBP ?

I didnt Understood about the "CUT OFF" Criteria
Passing ratio/passing marks in sciences and reasoning .
The cut off criteria is basically they select 400-500 top scorers in the test for interviews, For us it was 60% in sciences and 69% in reasoning part

The passing mark (i.e for example 70% for science) is determined by the number of people who make it to the top 300 (roughly speaking)

Yes you can! Domicile is important, not where your college location.

Nope. Admission is possible to both Alevels and Fsc students.
How much percentage do u require in your fsc to be eligible to give the Aku test is it 60% or 70% ?
Initially it was 60% but it became 70% after PMDC changed the rules

They teach in mostly English, but obviously bits of Urdu come up in the sentence every now and then. Books are 100% English.
