I used to smoke this kid in poker and worked with him at a pizza joint. he's a great guy and such a nasty drummer. never thought I'd see him travelling the world. nothing but love and respect for this dude
Great drummer and a great person. I had the chance of meeting him and he is that person that can spend all the night drinking beer and talking anything.
I just saw Havok live not long ago and they put on a great show! My nephews' band Narcotic Self opened for them here in Omaha and they all put on a kick ass concert... :-)
ΚΔ ΖΑΚΥΝΘΟΥ I know this comment is from a year ago, but to me I hear a lot of Gene Holglan in his playing! But I do agree in the sense that he's extremely unique
Sorry to burst your bubble but that bass drum is triggered! Just alot more tastefull then the typical core bands! (and some of the real bassdrum sound may be mixed with the trigger!)
Pete has said on multiple occasions that he doesn't use triggers, its one of the reasons he has two bass drums but only uses a double pedal, because its easier to mic one bass drum and get a consistent sound out of it than to mic up two bass drums. If he used triggers there would be no reason to use a single pedal.
Well that is impressive sound from the soundguy then (and good endurance/consistensy from Pete)! As I said before tho, alot of people mix the trigger sound with the sound from the bass drum mic, so the fact that he uses a double pedal isn't really evidence for your claim!
I'm aware that a lot of drummers do that, but Pete has stated multiple times that he doesn't use triggers so I'm willing to take his word for it. I know he has two separate mics on his bass drum so that's probably how he's able to get such a full sound for it. If you have an article or something where Pete admits to using triggers for shows or whatnot I'm open to changing my mind, though.
Is anyone able to tell me what kind of module and triggers Pete uses? Or at least direct me to a page with specs that would correlate to this video? Thanks :)
+Pete Webber God damn. It sounds great, dude. I was hoping to take the easy way out and go with triggers, haha. Thank you for taking the time to answer - and keep up the great music.

Mix of Nick Menza and Tom Hunting.
@@11DNA11 but with the intensity and speed of Dave Lombardo, especially on double bass
Oh how I love the sound of untriggered double bass.

It's not triggered.
