While not as good as Bomberman 94/Mega Bomberman, this one is still a solid title. Better for sure than the first Bomberman on PCE which is a port job I believe from the Bomberman game on X68000. I have this and Bomberman 94 on the original Wii VC, two of several Bomberman games I own. Great multiplayer experiences, decent 1 player games, that is unless you stay powered up and don't die, then it's one hell of an easy series. Die late in the game though, and the difficulty shoots through the roof as you'll face bosses quite underpowered.
I think this is way better than Bomberman 94, that is so gimmicky, it tried to innovate, but all the additions only make te game slower and more annoying in my opinion. 93 is one of the best versions of classic Bomberman, the best being probably the DOS game Dyna Blaster, and the Game Boy version.

You got animal helpers starting with Bomberman 94 that had different abilities, something that carried all the way over to Saturn Bomberman (I suppose you find that one not so good either). Graphically 94 started a trend where stages had variety in how they looked between one another too.
Yeah this video's old but labeling the video "PC-Engine" caused a pretty funny goof on my part. I bought a PC-Engine copy of the game after watching this longplay thinking it would be in English, and yeah the longplay isn't the PC Engine version, it's the American Turbografx version. Guess that's a big oops for me because all the boss hints, and stage names are in Japanese on my copy. Guess it's worth it to see Bomberman get drunk after beating the crab boss.
this game is a master piece for this beautiful 16 bits game console in a good made and i really hate the multiplayer mode fighting with the COM in this game they cheat so easily i dying everytimes of this

I love you for filming this! My absolute favorite game.. the colors, Jun Chikuma's fucking gnarly soundtrack.. I wish it got the praise it deserved.

Music is really good IMO.
That it is, same with Bomberman 94, and the SNES/SFC games. Heck, even Mega Bomberman on Genesis sounds alright, but not as good as Bomberman 94 does.

Parts of the "planet inferno" BGM sound like they came straight from earthbound.

Can't believe i saw a garbage game like that ! It's not so challenger, except for the bosses. However, there are few hard enemies.
