When Mary went to the tumb an earth quake happened as an angel from heaven came and moved the stone away and sat on it! How wonderful. The angel then spoke to them of what happened to Jesus. I didn't know and never realized how much of a physical danger these Women and John the Beloved were in after remaining at the Cross. Their act of Faith to stay by the Savior, Jesus Christ, gave them the miraculous blessing to remain a witness and not be killed too. Knowing this, helps me realize how much strength and courage these Women have. This also helps explain why it was a Woman, Mary Magdalene, whom Jesus Christ appears to first, instead of one of the Apostles. These Women risked their own lives, but they understood how important Jesus Christ was in their lives and how important His Mission has been (& still is). It also never mentions doubting or unfaithful Women. Only the Men.

As a catholic we don’t worship our mother Mary but ask for her strength and courage. To Jesus through Mary. Mary knew Jesus best on earth 🙏
I didn't know and never realized how much of a physical danger these Women and John the Beloved were in after remaining at the Cross.
Their act of Faith to stay by the Savior, Jesus Christ, gave them the miraculous blessing to remain a witness and not be killed too.
Knowing this, helps me realize how much strength and courage these Women have. This also helps explain why it was a Woman, Mary Magdalene, whom Jesus Christ appears to first, instead of one of the Apostles. These Women risked their own lives, but they understood how important Jesus Christ was in their lives and how important His Mission has been (& still is). It also never mentions doubting or unfaithful Women. Only the Men.

I can't even bear to see my kids fall on the ground. I actually feel the pain. I can't imagine what Mary indured when her child was on the Cross. The distress and pain she felt are unspeakable.
