Little libraries are one of the few signs that maybe the world isn't as bad as we think! I would have loved these when I was a kid! Good luck with the move, Emma, enjoy Toronto! Thanks for all you do to brighten our day!
I'm a silent subscriber but I can't help but leave a comment because I tremendously enjoyed watching this, Emma. Here in the Philippines, we do not have free library boxes and even public libraries, especially on far-flung communities that need them the most. It's really sad and frustrating, not to mention how expensive books are here in our country. Anyway, this inspired me to build a library box of my own someday. And since I am already here I just wanted to say that I adore you and you are my favorite booktuber for we have the same literary taste. And we both love cats! Hoping that you will get to feature on your book from every country in the world series the Philippine literature. I once saw on your bookshelf tour a copy of Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere. I highly recommend that, too. Hugs and blessings, Emma! 💖
so glad you left a comment, I'd also love to build one of my own someday! thank you so much for your kind words, seriously made my day and YES I need to get to Noli!! all the hugs
i broke into a huge smile when i saw your lovely brother showing us the vintage car. he's so quirky and he looked so amazed! i'm going to miss seeing him in your vlogs
Seeing Great Expectations brings back a memory of when i was married - my wife didn't do well in school & would have liked to be a book reader, but couldn't get in to it. I suggested that she pick a book of mine and i'd read it to her, so she picked Great Expectations & over several evenings i read it to her. About 2/3 through, i asked what she thought so far - ''The story is really good, but Pip's a f***wit''. I'd say that as reviews go, that's pretty much on target.
1) Love your brother, absolutely hilarious, growing up with him must have been a lot of fun 2) Anyone who wants a book rec needs to read "I Will Always Write Back" by Caitlin Alifirenka and Martin Ganda. A joint memoir about an American girl and Zimbabwean boy meeting through a penpal scheme and how that changed both their lives. If I was the type of person to cry at books I would have been sobbing with feel good tears and also tears tears. 5 stars
this video is self care for me. we don't have free library houses in my country so this is truly therapy. Also I love unhauls which makes it even better
The box you visit at 06:06, did you notice top right there are two copies of Philisopher’s Stone and the one that’s upside down has the original wizard on the spine (as opposed to having Dumbledore on it like the later ones did). Probably worth a take if you didn’t already have that version.
Oh wow, there was one of these little house/boxes in my neighborhood. Thought it was just some guy showing off his collection. I'll go donate right now.
Emma, what good timing. I was feeling a bit unwell, then started eating some bread and butter while watching this video and feel so much better. The first video of yours I ever watched was a little library haul. This unhaul into little libraries is perfect.
can't wait for the amazing videos you're going to film in your new place, it looks so cozy and pretty!!! (also please give calcifer a hug for me, he's so cute)
Ohhh i love exploring new libraries videos and also you and your brother are so cute 💜💜 (can't wait for a new apartment tour and i hope you are loving your new area ) 💜
The lies of lock lamora is honestly one of the best fantasy entries ever, like probably top 5 for any fantasy nerd you'll ever meet. It's waaay better than some of the fantasy books I've seen you reading. Plus it's a trilogy, and I'm sure you'll buy the next 2 books when you're halfway through the first, Scott is just a master of this craft and his characters are some of the best, and the friendships he wrote are probably the best ever in fiction, this is all my humble opinion but I'm pretty sure anyone who've read this would agree, wholeheartedly
This type of vid makes my heart so SO warm. I always felt kinda wasteful(?) just droppin books off at goodwills one at a time… and i knew of little free libs.. idk why I didn’t think to save all my books and do this, too!! Ahhh my heart. Thanks for sharing!!
emma, i hope you're doing well and adjusting to life at Toronto at your own pace :) thank you for all the book content and the little life updates + calcifer updates. your videos bring me so much joy :")
Lies of Locke Lamora is a personal favourite! The only downside is that the series only has a few books out and the 4th installation is delayed; but each book is insular enough that it's not a big deal.
I'm catching up with your videos, so this is the first glimpse I've seen of your new apartment. It looks so nice and welcoming :) It's also really cool there are those little libraries around. It's not good that some of them don't have doors, though. The books need a little bit of protection. That one was super large and fancy with its double door, though.
It's always fun to find hidden gems in those little libraries. Thank you for your submissions, I'm sure it will make countless people happy to find great books. SPOILERS: Just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude, it was amazing! Loved the dreamlike narrative, and the struggle to keep nature (animals, weeds) and their human natures at bay in the Buendia household. I'm glad that the mystery of the Melquiades papers was revealed too. I like how memory plays such a big role in the book. How is your reread going?
Still can’t believe you’re moving to Toronto I can’t wait for this new chapter in your life! (Pun intended lol) also this is one of my favorite series on your channel ☺️
Congrats on a successful move!! Calcipher does look super confident, that’s awesome! Confident cats are happy cats. I’m so thrilled you are all doing so well.
14:12 speaking of classics editions, which one do you, emma and viewers ☺️, prefer, regarding the extra contents? the penguin classics or the oxford ones? i’ve been meaning to collect the penguin editions but i’ve also seen a lot of people raving about the oxford series so i’d love to know opinions on those
Wow! I didn't know about this little free libraries. I would love to have this in my country, but I don't think it would work, because not only the books would be stolen, but also the library, I mean, the whole structure literally would be stolen as well xd And days after, you are going to see the same books and the structure on sale on the neighborhood sale
I am happy to report that I have just found my first free little library in Brazil (alas, it is not on their website) and the books are doing fine, nobody stole them! Some people spray painted an old fridge (with the title "Geloteca") and put it in the middle of a square, it looks amazing! It is basically filled with children's books, old notebooks (?), cooking books, religious propaganda, etc. Not many novels, unfortunately. My daughter insisted that I should bring home and old encyclopedia and I did find a book from my childhood, that I just had to bring home - it was a very lucky find, in great condition. I'm planning to visit it with a load of books to donate, very soon.
Emma, you'll be back to London many, many times. Don't fret. It's not goodbye to your home town, it's just a see ya later kinda thing. Brava. You'll thrive.
okay video idea (mostly because your brother is so fun and we wanna see him in more videos HAHAHAHAH) how about you recommend 3 books to your brother to read and hear his opinions on the books?
Thanks for the great video! I agree with everyone - your brother is cool and always fun. Maybe next time he can share what he's up to with school or whatever. Senior year?
Great video, Emma! I actually never heard of putting books in the freezer before. I'm really curious and wonder if you could talk more about that? I hope you are well!! 😊

I love your brother showing us the car behind, so funny.
Hahahha the best!
That was a cool Mustang.
Little libraries are one of the few signs that maybe the world isn't as bad as we think! I would have loved these when I was a kid! Good luck with the move, Emma, enjoy Toronto! Thanks for all you do to brighten our day!
If I was a kid and saw one, I would have thought that it was a mystical thing that happened to me, would have recalled it like a dream years later
I agree books are proof of that.
I really appreciate your brother showing us that old mustang in the back, it looks stunning!!
You brother showing us the car was adorable. Love listening to people talk about there interests x

Your brother's really funny. Oh, and I love the support of your family to doing this vlog, helping with filming and stuff. More power, Emmie!
Hey. Did you contact Emmie on telegram? If so can you tell me how?
I love how your brother is just so camera ready hahaha

Your family being involved in your videos is seriously so cute! I love it whenever they make an appearance! Hope you love Lies of Locke Lamora!
I find Emma’s brother so goofy and charming 😚anyone with me?
YESSS! he's very cute 🤍
I love when your brother is in the vlog! I always laugh so much 😭 the siblings dynamic 10/10
I did the same thing during covid 😂 the amount of joy little libraries bring is unexplainable
They definitely filled a gap until the libraries opened back up
I need a brother like yours, where can I get one of those?😂 you two together were so fun to watch
The lies of Locke Lamora has a slow start but is absolutely amazing and has some of the best friendships ever written, I adored it so much

Protect small library’s at all costs!
This is a great video. Your brother has such a fun personality. He’s always trying to come and do the camera and he is definitely not shy.

also read the art of the deal by donald trump, made me cry as well!

I wish we had these here! I have quite a lot of books to donate after my declutter, so would love to pop them into a teeny library :-)
Family outing! 🧡

i love your little library videos! can't wait to see what you pick up🥰
I love giving my books to these little libraries

I love when your family’s in your videos, such a cute dynamic
I just discovered my first little free library near me, and it's the best. Such a fun video!
It's so sweet of your brother helping you and jumping in front of the camera and share his thoughts 🤩❤️
I really wish we had these little libraries in my country

This is the cutest video ever! So cute and nice of you to leave books and vlogging it! ♥️🥰👌🏽📚
Does your brother have a TH-cam channel? I would totally watch it! He's so entertaining!
I love the videos about the little libraries, because I don’t have any in my city, so I’m living through your experience
If you build one more will come.

Nice to see none of the boxes you visited are starving. It's nice to give them a good feed too :)
Omg, describing toad as thinking he’s in GTA 😂😂 absolutely made my day lol
5:05 shot of the aloe flow denied
seemed cathartic, thx for sharing & that wind in the willows edition looks so nice holy
so so happy that you kept the raven boys! it’s my favorite fantasy series, hope you like it too 💖
these hauls are SO FUN!!

Little libraries are my favorite things in the entire world. You unhauled so many books!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! lol
The first time I ever found this channel was because I was watching a bunch of LFL videos 😍
glad you’re all doing well 🤍💐
Your videos are my absolute favourite. They are so cozy and make me so calm
The lady that was in the little

Still can’t believe you’re moving to Toronto I can’t wait for this new chapter in your life! (Pun intended lol) also this is one of my favorite series on your channel ☺️
Your brother adds more fun to your videos. Love watching your videos I get books for my future tbr lists
It’s so nice to see so many cute libraries boxes and interesting books. Somehow didn’t see many of mini libraries in Victoria, Australia…
YESSSSSSS I LOVE THESE
i’m also from london it’s so crazy seeing all of these places!! im an old family friend of emma donoghue :) need to find some of these book boxes!
I would loveee to watch another 24-hour readathon between you and Carolyn :) the first one was so cozy
“And maybe hauling some too” 😂😂
Getting rid of books seems to be going well 😂
Ever since watching your Little Library videos I desperately want my city to have more of those! 🥺
If you install one more will come.
Congrats on a successful move!! Calcipher does look super confident, that’s awesome! Confident cats are happy cats. I’m so thrilled you are all doing so well.
Going to have to find your books, you left some good ones!
14:12 speaking of classics editions, which one do you, emma and viewers ☺️, prefer, regarding the extra contents? the penguin classics or the oxford ones? i’ve been meaning to collect the penguin editions but i’ve also seen a lot of people raving about the oxford series so i’d love to know opinions on those
tbh - I grew up with the Penguins, and still have respect for them but find lately I prefer the Oxford.
Emma car essentials: bribes for squirrels, books for swapping, brother for comic relief. Let's go!🚘
When you found The Wind In the Willows. I love when you find a copy!!

IT'S EMMA! Her videos always make me so happy and excited
little libraries are so cute :’)
That Mustang though. I'm envious of the Little Free Libraries around there. We have a slim selection around here.
It makes me so happy to see you’re doing well! Hope you are all settling in nicely 💜💜
Omg I wish we had these libraries in my city! Loved the vlog 💜 take care emmie!
You should build one and then more will come.
The following things in your video were fire: Mustang, Frida Kahlo flooring, the book haul, Wind in the Willow ft. GTA character.
Emma, you'll be back to London many, many times. Don't fret. It's not goodbye to your home town, it's just a see ya later kinda thing. Brava. You'll thrive.
These Little Libraries are so well maintained…and full! Our Chicago libraries are….really something lol
oh no I wanted to hear what he had to say about aloe vera for the hair.
I wasn't feeling good when you asked me in the beginning of the video, but I am feeling better now, after watching it. Thank you Emma
Your brother is a natural! Where's his YT channel?
okay video idea (mostly because your brother is so fun and we wanna see him in more videos HAHAHAHAH) how about you recommend 3 books to your brother to read and hear his opinions on the books?
Between the acts was Virginia Woolf last novel. I love those editions!
I am so jealous!! I would have loved the A Spindle Splintered find! Also, that Samantha Shannon book you put in.
The book boxes there are so full! I'm jealous, the ones in my neighborhood are never more than half full.
I actually found you and started following you due to your little library videos :D
Yay! I love these videos! It’s the reason I started following you!🥰 can’t wait for more!
awe amazing, can't wait to find some here!
Book trading posts are really impressive! We haven't those posts in my country, but I am curious to build by myself. It is really exiting
Once you build one more will come.
Happy to see you doing good in the new place! :)
also the moment when Calcifer smushed his face with his paws melted my heart. soooo cuuute
Thanks for the great video! I agree with everyone - your brother is cool and always fun. Maybe next time he can share what he's up to with school or whatever. Senior year?
you should do a reading vlog where you read some books you almost got rid of / were contemplating getting rid of! if you want, just an idea :)
I love free little libraries!!! Amazing video 😊
A cat named Calcifer AND a fellow Dickens lover?? Subscribed!
It's my birthday today!! And Emma's upload of my favorite little library ep - i considered it as your gift and I couldn't be more happier!🥰🥰
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
great free little library finds! How long do you put your books in the freezer for and just in a zip lock bag?
Glad to hear the 3 of you are doing good after the move! Can't wait to see the new shelf organisation
I'm so glad you did this Emma! I was thinking about doing this with some of my books as well, just yesterday ☺
Great video, Emma! I actually never heard of putting books in the freezer before. I'm really curious and wonder if you could talk more about that? I hope you are well!! 😊
