I love that every single person that comes on here has said how good the atmosphere of AEW is. How wrestlers enjoy the freedom they get because they can truly be who they want to be and know what will work with them. You learn from success and failure and finding out what success looks like does them wonders.
I like his character and what he's doing. He has been getting a push. He's been winning a lot. but I been mostly onlg seeing dark so I don't know about TV.
I managed to see Shawn live in Melbourne for a nxt show a few years back, the reaction he got was insane, he was incredibly over as the perfect 10. Just look at the 2017 royal rumble. He was the best thing about that rumble in my opinion. I'm a big fan, really hope he can achieve his goals in and out of the ring at AEW
Shawn Spears made such a huge statement when he slammed that chair over Cody's head at Fyter Fest last year hence recieving his self-proclaimed CHAIRman of AEW moniker. The spot was risky and the spot may not went the way it was originally meant to go, but I can't lie I marked after that moment. Shawn Spears made a huge impact after that chair shot it was amazing stuff, im just glad Cody didn't sustain any significant damage in the aftermath. I want to see Shawn Spears become a top heel in AEW he has certainly earned it and with a man like Tully Blanchard at his side as his manager, I just know big plans are in store for Spears, it is just happening in a slow build.
His TCW Championship was mentioned! I was the ring announcer & Howard Finkel'ed the "and NEW TCW Heavy Weight Champion... Shawn Spears" Genuinely one of the best I've had the honour of seeing in action.
I think Spears could be a bigger part of the programming . I would like to see him actually beat Cody for the TNT Title after Cody has a lengthy reign. Those two have the history, and chemistry to have a bigger rivalry.
This guy needs to become champ soon... Of all the guys to come from WWE to AEW, Spears is 2nd to no one.... I wouldn't say he's better than Moxley, but if say he's just as a of a challenge

Ok I’m really confused because Tony’s shirt looks like the compression shirts we get for marching band at Alvin High School but I don’t think there is any connection between the two so how did he get and where did he get it

I feel he's one of the few who's benefited from the restricted roster of Covid recently. He's had chance to show a steady character more. maybe the story all along was he's aimless then finds direction, but for me he was too aimless for too long. Reminded me of Eric Young in TNA being a joke who locked up with referees one week, then a suited intelligent contender the next, though Spears story isn't fully told so I now that is a weak comparison. With SS it seemed he had direction briefly when he joined Tully, but soon enough the inconsistency returned. HIs attack on Janela was pretty intense, but not followed up at the time well imo. he's one and one with Janela and has no victories over anyone more established. again no direspect to the man, he's not been a bad worker. just my thoughts on his position. sorry for long reply.

They start building him up again, possible tag team partner that’s dropped and then he is embarrassed by the rhodes family. A black glove isn’t going to fix bad booking.

He's happy, and that seems to be contagious in AEW. I'll admit that he isn't used to the top of his potential, but he is having fun, and his story is still growing.
