Yeah, he is alarmingly alert. But when he was like, "How did they go upstream?" it's like... yeah, get near the edge, haha, but maybe he hasn't been on rivers much. He just makes it sound amazing, haha.

Every Shatner interview seems like it is not long enough. I'd watch 4 hours of him sharing stores and commenting on things. It is always nice to see him interacting with generations of young people who were not born when his extraordinary career began. Shatner is the definition of a National Treasure.

He is the kind of person I would love to just sit and talk with for hours, listening to him tell outrageously funny stories, interesting ideas, and philosophical thoughts. He knows his own faults and weaknesses, but he is able to bring humor to the criticism he receives. Plus the man went into space! For real! Seeing the stars without light obstruction the first time if you had been city raised is like the first time you see the ocean if you weren't brought up near one, especially if you venture beyond sight of land. My father didn't see an ocean until he was twenty-one, and him telling about it is one of my favorite of his stories. Such a magnitude, it is hard to witness without some sense of awe, for most.
