This was my first time visiting Hakone. We made a last minute decision to go to Hakone instead of Lake Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi because the bus tickets were sold out already. You can go to Hakone by just taking the express trains, but taking the Romance car is faster and more comfortable. Hakone Free Pass is highly recommended if you really want to enjoy everything in Hakone, and staying for 1 or 2 nights might be great.

Hakone is famous for its hot springs. Have you been to any of the hot springs? Do you have any recommendations?

hi! thanks for watching and for leaving a comment! ✨ unfortunately, I haven’t been to any hot springs in Hakone because we only did a day trip though I love going to hot springs. For me, the best onsen is a rotenburo (open-air bath), please try to find a rotenburo and let me know your experience.
