I envy people who can transition from dark hair to salt n pepper to white. My husband is a winter & his grey looks good. My warm dark blonde (golden) hair just looks like I have white paint in my hair 😅 I am getting nice white streaks in the front (haven't colored in 3 months) that I think I will keep 😊 Finally getting in to a new hairdresser today. 🤞 I get the results I want (stylists like taking me very pale blonde since color lifts easily) I need more contrast while still staying in the blonde range so I like a darker base with subtle highlights.
Thanks for the tip. I use henna too - brown. My natural hair is black but I've been dyeing it shades of brown for many years. I'll try another henna shade next time (chestnut) and use the vinegar tip. I touch up my roots every ~2 months.
I've been transitioning to my natural grey for 4 years...almost there now!...but the front is white (the money shot) but the rest is definitely salt/pepper. As an analysed Summer back in the 80s (only 4 categories at the time), does this hair transition now make me a soft winter?????
Winters have a Lot of contrast. Even us soft winters. If you‘ve been typed a Summer before going grey, it’s unlikely going grey gave you more contrast. It usually makes you softer and cooler.
You're probably turning into a soft summer (and was a cool summer before). Winters usually can become summers but not vice versa. Try soft summer & light summer palettes.
Finally a palette for neutral-cool people!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Question: Will this palette works for neutral-light-cool skin tone? If it is for people withe these characteristics I wish to pay for the download. Thanks!
LOL, I have about 2 inches of pure white and 7 inches of dyed brown. Thinking I'll get my daughter-in--law to bleach it for me this weekend. Don't want to wait until next Fall for a grow out. Be careful with temporary hair colors because they can leave a tint on gray roots which is the antithesis of what we want. BTW, I think I'm a WinSum -> Winter to Summer.
My stylist has me using a shampoo that keeps my gray hair glossy and cool. To the best of my knowledge it is a brand only available through a licensed stylist/cosmotologist.
Uncanny timming I looked at these 2 seasons yesterday to me mine . I'm okay not going gray for another few years. As my hairs warm anyway found out years ago when ashy blonde was popular
Will your new customized transition palette work for a warm neutral with a slight olive undertone? It's been complicated! 😅 Or do you offer custom palettes? I only recently discovered you two and you're such an enjoyable duo!!!
Can you have a cool undertone, but a warm overtone with Amber eyes with a black ring around the outside before the white part. I have salt and pepper hair, but not black and white, it's a dark ash with bright white. I'm mixed Caucasian and Filipino and can not figure in what season I'm in.
Can you do a video with the opposite? I’m 59. I have always been ash blond, blue eyed and fair skin with a cool/ pink undertone. Since menopause my hair has turned darker brown and more red/ auburn naturally. I have very little gray. So my hair stylist has given me more golden highlights with a butterscotch toner. But my skin is still cool and my eyes have turned more gray. What do you recommend for someone who is older but doesn’t have much gray hair but has cool skin/ eyes but more warm: autumn hair? Am I am autumn or summer? Does anyone else experience getting older but not gray-haired but darker/ redder? Just curious if you could address this. Thanks.
Lucinda, please tell us where you got your top and what lipstick you’re wearing!!! They’re gorgeous!!! You really shine in these colors 😍
you both look so beautiful!! Lucinda that color fuchsia looks fabulous on you.
I’m a True Spring who is transitioning to gray via light golden blonde highlights, at a salon who also does color analysis. Gray is beautiful!! ❤
It would be great to see a photo of Lucinda when she was an automn.
I was typed as a "deep autumn" 30 years ago. Haven't gone grey yet but I think my colouring has become more neutral.
You're probably turning to a soft autumn. I suggest to try some colours from that palette.
@kitty_s23456 I still suit deep colours but I think I can wear more medium to deep cool. Pastels, light greys & beige etc are the worst for me.
Very informative! I’m now totally white gray. It was a painful process though lol

Ok you two, quit trying to confuse me! 😂
Henna works well. I use the strawberry blonde henna (the red is too brassy) and it does the roots, but you have to use vinegar for it to "stick."

Maybe cool summer? It depends on Your other characteristics. But grey hair usualy shift us to cooler side.

Thank you for this palette!!! It’s EXACTLY what I need!

Thank you!! I am sick of coloring and I’m going gray!! Yes it is not easy!! The dry hair is really frustrating me!!!

So funny, you changed your names😂

You might be a cool olive. My guess would be deep winter. You might look good in those teal and fuchsia type of shades.
Hahahaha hi Lucinda and Sarah😂

Totally confused. Thought I was autumn and the reactions from friends and family was 😳🫢🤢
