The Nova Pro Wireless has a rocker for game/chat audio which is really handy. Lovely review as always!
Only for Xbox*. It doesnt work for PlayStation.

this really put my mind at ease with my purchase, as my astro A50 gen 3s decided to break yesterday..
did you buy them? i'm using astro a50 (gen 2 or gen 3, not sure) and was considering switching, but I heard a lot of people hurt their ears with the ANC driver digging into them
@Silent to be brutally honest these Headphones are absolutely Incredible the fact that I can switch between my PC and PS5 with the turn of a knob is one reason why I bought these and the sound quality truly blows the doors off. The SONAR software you get to adjust your frequencies help that you don't get damage to your ears..
These headphones ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted the wireless ones but price wise these just made sense
@@prme_evl4331 oh I meant physically hurting their ears, as there was a piece of noise cancelling hardware popping out of the earcup. Apparently they are comfortable for you since you didnt notice haha. Thanks for answering!!
@Silent nope didn't notice anything popping out the ear cup. They are definitely more comfortable then my astros were. My ear lobes use to be quite sensitive after a 5hrs session but haven't had the same experience with these so far.

Any luck on scoring the wireless ones?
In the wired plus DAC vs wireless war for me, wireless usually wins because I like to be able to move around without fiddling with the headset just so I can get a drink or let the dogs out.
Don't even have a bloody PS5 yet but am I fussing over what headset to get already? Yep.

- Does the headphone need to be plugged into the base or does the base act a signal and the headphones can be plugged into the controller without the base?

I can get the same tv/monitor as you yet yours will still look better than mine. I have the LG oled c1 and I swear the quality isn’t nearly as good as I see on TH-cam vids. I have a ps5 btw

Great review! Can you also use the Wired version for Discord on PC and gaming audio on PS5? Can you have 1 usb for audio and the other usb for the mic and audio? Or do you need to use the USB1 on the pc for discord and the Line in for the audio from the output of the monitor using the 3.5 mm jack cable?
Great video. I recently bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max but was not impressed with the audio quality. This review lead me to exchange the Turtle Beach for the wireless Nova Pro model for Xbox and wow. What a difference in audio quality and design. It works seamlessly when connected to both my Xbox and PS5. The swappable battery is so convenient. You’ll love the wireless model. I’m lucky I saw your video within my 14 day return window.

My steel series 9x keep cutting out so looking for a new set of cans...was actually debating the nova pro wireless or the turtle beach 700 gen2 max. You're saying the nova is the play?
Mate are you sounds not majorly distorted on consoles? It sounds fine for me on pc but on the ps5/xbox it's vile. Completely unusable, the sound actually hurts your ears.
I don't believe you. The Xbox uses its own proprietary audio and therefore you can't really use it with both PS5 and Xbox series consoles.
@@Adronomics The Xbox version of the headset works on both Xbox and Playstation.
The headband is reinforced with metal, which feels really premium

As someone who can't stand clutter I just couldn't do it with the clear inability to clean up the cables coming from the DAC. I'm sire they sound great, I have the 7's and 7p+ but I'll stick with my PC38x.

Thanks for the review. Is there a delay in audio transmission? Logitech wireless uses LIGHTSPEED technology and they claim latency is similar to the wired version. How are things going with this? Can they be used for professional athletes in e-sports? Or is only the wired version suitable for esports?

I personally can say using these is a big game changer not just for ps5 but for pc, I honestly wish I had these before I got my epos but if you are a ps5 or pc player and are looking for a good headset not just for gaming but even for work purposes or music a big recommendation towards these bad boys

For me they are better than the 7P+ (for sound) but for the wires/DAC and TV setup it's a no from me. If I can get the wireless version (but they are £350!!) they would tick every box.
Have you tried Airpods Max for gaming? How good are they for gaming? I guess it would be a nice video if you review them.

Hi great vid, nice black ps5 too! My setup has me sitting about 5 feet away from my ps5 so would that be too far for the cable from the gamedac to the ps5 to reach?

Artic nova pro is exceed my budget ,i end up with epos h3 pro hybrid it’s work really good with 3d audio on my ps5 this is another optional for people have has less budget for nova pro 🤘🏼, raw sound it’s perfect

Im not a fan of the redesign but its growing on me ig, the old white ones were my favs but the ear cups could break off easily over time so these look more premium and feel more sturdy as I hear, might get a pair because the Bluetooth capabilities while playing on console and such is one of the main selling points to me from the ARCTIS pro line ups
I'd like to test the wireless ones too, as they come with bluetooth.
You can play the game hear the TV and play music with your phone at the same time while also receiving calls while playing on the ps5 love it

In your opinion regarding the 360 degree spatial audio, do you think its better or worse than the kraken v3 hypersense thing with the haptics and THX spatial audio? No one’s really done a comparison as im aware of.
i want to buy them but im still thinking about it. Because you got the wireless fursion to. what is the best option for ps5. i know that the wireless headset cost a 100 dollars more or so. So the quation is it is worth it to buy the wireless one for 100 dollars more. Or is the wired headset the best option to get. The headset im using right now is the astro a50 wireless. But after using them for almost a year im not a big fan of the battery. And before i forget nice review of the wired headset!

I would very appropriate if you can help me with my doubts.
After i bought Arctis nova 7p, I didn't like how loose they are and sound is kinda leaking as my ear cannot fully go inside the hole. Also i could hear mic sidetone background white sound always, since i am using sidetone, which is important feature to me. Ps5 party members says they hear some background white noise before and after i talk, like the sensitivity of the mic is very high, and i cannot reduce sensitivity in Gg app.
So i ended up returning them back.
Now i am thinking of Nova pro wireless if they will not have constant background white noise which sounds like radio or something...
Or maybe turtle 700 gen 2 max, if they will not have that sidetone constant white background radio noise, than i will go for them? Please help me, thanks in advance!

Instead of having the analog cable connected directly to the headset, is it possible to have the cable go from gamedac to the monitor and use the headset wirelessly? Reason for asking is that I use an elgato capture card playing on PS5 and I would like to have a wireless headset and controller setup while able to capture game audio while either recording or streaming.
Man these look great but the black just throws off my entire setup. Really wish companies would start producing more stuff in white

If you have the headphones plugged in to the base you can't adjust audio volume. You have to be using Bluetooth to be able to adjust volume.
PlayStation's own headset can mute from the controller. Apparently this was changed at some point recently as I ran into it last night and was confused why no one could hear me. As the controller was not original a part of that control loop for my pulse 3d or the gold.

Can you use the headphone on PC and PS5 at the same time? For example, can I use discord on PC while playing a game on PS5?
I'm using sony xm4 for gaming, movie, TH-cam & music
No more SPDIF output and this is clearly a stepback compare to old version caused by Sony and Microsoft. They removed SPDIF port on console. They added Tempest 3d audio / 360 audio which try to make cheap headset sound decent but it clearly cut the quality of high-end audio device. They also decided to not implement display port which results in having to chose between sound quality with audio extractor(currently there's no audio extractor supporting hdmi 2.1 on the market) or image quality (4k 120hz supported via hdmi 2.1). This can be explain by the fact that Sony is a brand of television and television already got SPDIF port on them. Headset constructor decided to invest on something that will be cross platform. At least, Xbox support USB UAC2 which makes Astro mix amp and others amp/dac to work. Sony is still using UAC1 and almost none of the amp/dac supports it anymore. In my point of view, the current gen console is a shame. This is caused by old school company wanting to keep the market for themselves.
What do you have to do to pair these up with an Elgato? Do you need the chat link cable to capture audio for videos? And is it different if you get the wireless? (Do you need a special adapter like for the Astro a50s)

What is the microphone like on PlayStation party chat? Do your mates think it is ok? Got these and on series x they sound pretty distorted/crackly on party chat compared to my Astro A50s. Yet they sound fine on PC when listening to recordings of it 🤷♂️
I had a pair of the wired ones and a pair of Corsair Virtouse XT for pc and while the Novas where more comfortable the sound on the Corsairs with dolby sounded better to me
Did the rgb xt corsair sounds better that the nova steel pro?
@@teeknowstech imo yes but only for pc because you can do so much with the sound on pc and add Dolby atmos with it. Steelseries was more comfortable with out a doubt they just sound too tin ish for my preference I like a little bass
I know the chatmix on the headset does not work with the ps5, but does the ps5 "chatmix" built into the dashboard quick menu still work with this headset? This feature is a must for me! Thanks!
Have you had any issues with yours? When we reviewed it on our channel it was flawless - now though we've been having distortion issues happening when playing games on both PC and PS5. At one point the gaming noise from the PS5 turned to 100% white noise until we reset the headset.
Not had that issue yet no. I've put maybe 50+ hours through them, and they still sound great.
i just buy this one becuase the razer hypersense one favorite i have but have some issues i returned and get this one i will test for 50 days before i decide to return
