Man I hope the hobby drops a bit more in the next 6 months. The prices are too much for me. $1k + for a hobby box of optic. And the value definitely wasn't there. Thats the main issue with me and ripping packs. I want to so bad, but 100% of the wax you buy to rip you don't get close to the value of what you paid for it. There is always those rare boxes where you hit something crazy and double/triple the value, but that few and far between. Some people never get a big hit. I know I'm still searching for mine. Maybe one day things will even out so some of us average Joes can enjoy it as much as the big fish and investors do. Not crapping on the hobby or investors. Just had a bit of a sad moment. Everybody can enjoy cards for whatever reason they have to be in the hobby.
Basketball was hot because a ton sneaker heads and young crypto kids who don't know any better came in and over bought. I mean basketball is a distant 3rd in terms of ratings when it comes to the big 4 sports....probably even less popular then UFC at this point. Football and baseball is where it's at in my opinion.

To be fair a lot of kids like myself who collected before the boom made a lot of money when the hobby went boom and then traded/sold there cards and put it back into cards and therefore they have a very impressive collection. When you see the kids walking around with big cards I don’t think it’s fair to assume their parents are just buying them thousands and thousands of dollars of cards.
