- I am opening a 1st/First Off The Line (FOTL) hobby box of 2022 Panini Donruss Optic NFL Football for our next sports card pack unboxing/product review! Hobby boxes have an SRP of $225 but resell in the mid $500 range (FOTL boxes resell in the mid $900 range). Every box contains 20 4-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 1 autograph, 8 numbered cards, 2 additional parallels, 4 inserts, and 20 Rated Rookies in every box. FOTL boxes contain 1 bonus Purple Stars auto /50 or less, 1 bonus Purple Stars parallel /15, and 1 Purple Stars insert /25. This product comes with chances at pulling on-card Rated Rookie autographs of the 2022 NFL Draft Class, ultra-rare Downtown case-hit inserts, 1/1 Gold Vinyl parallels, various SP inserts (Mythical, Super Bowl Downtown!, Blazers, Rookie Kings), various parallels (Ice /15, Gold /10, Green /5, Electricity /65, Rocket, Jazz, Pandora /25, Holo), new inserts (Light it Up & Diamond Hands), multi-signed cards, rookie/veteran patch autos (RPA), autos of the NFL's top rookies/superstars/HOFers, autographs/rookies of Brock Purdy, Kenny Pickett, Malik Willis, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, & Chris Olave, and more! Optic is my fav chromium from Panini. I remember The Rookies from childhood, love the white borders - makes the uni colors pop, & even the "O" logo is clean.
Contenders is still my fav design since I've kept tickets from sporting events and the signed ones are dope. Thx for the vid.

I'm not a football guy but I can't help but appreciate how sharp the photography on Donruss has become, in basketball too. These dudes pop!

That box was brutal. That's why you always get two. Or three. Maybe four. Or even five.
How on earth was that box brutal? The autos were solid, color rookies galore, etc. Or is it only if you hit a pickett or purdy auto /25 or less then it’s “decent”?
Yes. Those are what I would want to pull to consider a good box. Not even a base purdy or Pickett. Shameful.
Other video of guys pulling 20 blasters, plenty of purdy n picket parallels but no auto or numbered cards, he pulled 2 downtowns , AP and Malik Willis, 20 blasters per case
It is a 300 base card checklist with 200 vets and 100 rated rookies which doesn’t include the inserts. Rookie qb’s aren’t the ONLY cards with value which seems to somehow be a common thought. I’d gladly take a london auto /25 over a base pickett and purdy both any day. Even the fridge auto. Would it be nice to hit either one, sure. But if that’s your expectation out of every box you’re setting a completely unrealistic goal. Same applies for topps/bowman. You’re not going to get a top 2 rookie/1st bowman in every box. That’s why it’s good to know value and where it really is.
