Because the Y chromosome has a defect, it is becoming less and less in numbers, which means there will be one man and 50 women ratio. For everybody to be married in this ratio where women outnumber men, a man would need to propose to four women and do proper nikah with four women. However, 46 servant women (46 of his office employees) would need to propose to him and offer themselves as common law partners (concubines in Islam). This is how everybody can be married even when women outnumber men.

The man on post was probably in his thirties at best and said the woman had to be a slave. This is the level of scholarship present at the Kabah for the Ummah that have serious questions. This is a very interesting view. I'd like to point out a few things: 1. There are many cultures around the world where women accept and embrace monagomy and other cultures where it's not as accepted. Shouldn't 'urf be looked at in this situation? Also, consider that a young women who is a 1st wife or the wife from a newly wed couple may not be as inclined to polygyny as say an older women who may become more open to the concept. Timing is an important consideration when it comes to polygyny 2. Our beloved Prophet (SAW) treated his wives with such sincerty that they all had nothing but kindness/love towards our Messenger (SAW). This is because he considered their hearts/feelings and did not hurt them. So, if a man intends to embark on the journey of polygamy and even after some discussion, his wife disagrees, should he not consider her feelings? 3. There is a beautiful story about the relationship between Ali (RA) and Fatima (RA). They had an intense love for one another. There came a time when Ali (RA) was considering a second marriage and Fatima (RA) disagreed and told her father (Rasullullah SAW). He went to Ali (RA) and said not to pursue with the second marriage because Fatima's (RA) heart is like his heart and he doesn't want him to break it. Ali (RA) complied and did not pursue polygyny until after the death of Fatima (RA). I bring this up because as an example. As you can see, one cannot force a woman to change her heart and happily accept polygyny especially if she was raised all her life dreaming of a monogomous marriage. It's cruel and would put undue hardship on her. In this case, we should look at making the next generation of girls more accepting towards the concept of polygyny. This would also require creating a generation men that are responsible and mature enough to handle this great task. 4. In today's world, what we need is to work on ourselves so we can work on our kids. We are the "transition" generation. The "in-betweeners". We are the ones that are starting to wake up from a deep colonialized slumber. And we have to start by working on ourselves. We're akin to the Mekkan period where the Muslims were the minority and were just learning about their faith. Let's clean our hearts and clean up the segregation. We clean ourselves, then we can raise a generation who can do what we couldn't. If we do our job right as parents/elders/teachers/scholars, then the coming generation's men AND women will embrace polygyny, amongst many, many other great things. 5. While young women are accepting Islam, it is mainly the older and middle aged women that are accepting Islam in droves. Men have to give priority in marrying these older women. Young women will always find a suitor, however, older women struggle. Especially women 50+. Teaching men the true lesson behind polygyny and helping them see it's not to satisfy desires. Just take a look at our beloved Prophet (SAW). He married divorced and older women.
Polygamy will only possible if husbands are returned the correct amount of authority over their households. Before the obstruction of 3rd parties and the interference of government. Also the effects of the media and social engineering will have to be addressed. Otherwise forget polygamy you won't even get marriages. Only concubines and Zina. Which is what has happened in the western world and spreading like a cancer to the rest of the godless UN world

Sheik wonderful talk and perspective but how can this be possible if most woman wants a marriage license. It can only be possible if all 4 wife’s agree with Nikah only in order to be equitable. Dear Sir. We need to emphasise on exisiting marriages as well. The Divorce (Talaaq) process explained in the Quran is absolute truth. It might have been modified for temporary reasons but in Today's world, Muslims must return to quran for Divorce process. Please guide Muslims to follow The Absolute Truth (The Quran) to save the society.

We all are familiar with what you are saying about other prophets, but you also indicate Jesus Christ (PBUH) to have married more than one wife. I am still learning and just wanted to request if you could possibly elaborate more about who Jesus Christ (PBUH) married or could talk about this specific and important subject in more detail. Bismilah. May Allah swt bless you infinitely dear Shaykh Hosein for explaining this important subject. I visited the Imam at the Kabah with a Muslim brother when I worked in Saudi Arabia as an expat. The man on post was probably in his thirties at best and said the woman had to be a slave. This is the level of scholarship present at the Kabah for the Ummah that have serious questions. I knew in my heart that wasn´t correct. Shukran dear shaykh. Blessings and salaams on the ummah of Mohammed peace be upon him.
So Much Nifaq Present in the Hearts of these people (Sheikhs!) They Forget About Taskiyatu Nafs(The Purification of The Soul) The Should Shut Up And Go To Work For Their Own Hearts!

Assalaamu alikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. Sheikh it's interesting to see baqara:224.where Allah swt says which don't make Allah swt your excuse for not enjoying righteousness when Allah swt is allhearng and a All Knowing. He is aware of the woman's offer
This is a very interesting view. I'd like to point out a few things:
1. There are many cultures around the world where women accept and embrace monagomy and other cultures where it's not as accepted. Shouldn't 'urf be looked at in this situation? Also, consider that a young women who is a 1st wife or the wife from a newly wed couple may not be as inclined to polygyny as say an older women who may become more open to the concept. Timing is an important consideration when it comes to polygyny
2. Our beloved Prophet (SAW) treated his wives with such sincerty that they all had nothing but kindness/love towards our Messenger (SAW). This is because he considered their hearts/feelings and did not hurt them. So, if a man intends to embark on the journey of polygamy and even after some discussion, his wife disagrees, should he not consider her feelings?
3. There is a beautiful story about the relationship between Ali (RA) and Fatima (RA). They had an intense love for one another. There came a time when Ali (RA) was considering a second marriage and Fatima (RA) disagreed and told her father (Rasullullah SAW). He went to Ali (RA) and said not to pursue with the second marriage because Fatima's (RA) heart is like his heart and he doesn't want him to break it. Ali (RA) complied and did not pursue polygyny until after the death of Fatima (RA).
I bring this up because as an example. As you can see, one cannot force a woman to change her heart and happily accept polygyny especially if she was raised all her life dreaming of a monogomous marriage. It's cruel and would put undue hardship on her.
In this case, we should look at making the next generation of girls more accepting towards the concept of polygyny. This would also require creating a generation men that are responsible and mature enough to handle this great task.
4. In today's world, what we need is to work on ourselves so we can work on our kids. We are the "transition" generation. The "in-betweeners". We are the ones that are starting to wake up from a deep colonialized slumber. And we have to start by working on ourselves. We're akin to the Mekkan period where the Muslims were the minority and were just learning about their faith. Let's clean our hearts and clean up the segregation. We clean ourselves, then we can raise a generation who can do what we couldn't.
If we do our job right as parents/elders/teachers/scholars, then the coming generation's men AND women will embrace polygyny, amongst many, many other great things.
5. While young women are accepting Islam, it is mainly the older and middle aged women that are accepting Islam in droves. Men have to give priority in marrying these older women. Young women will always find a suitor, however, older women struggle. Especially women 50+. Teaching men the true lesson behind polygyny and helping them see it's not to satisfy desires. Just take a look at our beloved Prophet (SAW). He married divorced and older women.
Polygamy will only possible if husbands are returned the correct amount of authority over their households. Before the obstruction of 3rd parties and the interference of government. Also the effects of the media and social engineering will have to be addressed. Otherwise forget polygamy you won't even get marriages. Only concubines and Zina. Which is what has happened in the western world and spreading like a cancer to the rest of the godless UN world

2- appreciate if you speak thoroughly about mot’aa nikah that was halal in prophet Mohammad peace and blessings upon him and abu baker times and was prohibited by omar bin al khattab. Please talk about this subject unbiasedly and regardless if the misuse happening now by Shiites who marry everyday.

Sheik wonderful talk and perspective but how can this be possible if most woman wants a marriage license. It can only be possible if all 4 wife’s agree with Nikah only in order to be equitable. Living in nyc I believe is impossible. Can your answer only be applied to outside USA for example marriage license with women from different countries without bringing them to US. ?

Dear Sir. We need to emphasise on exisiting marriages as well. The Divorce (Talaaq) process explained in the Quran is absolute truth. It might have been modified for temporary reasons but in Today's world, Muslims must return to quran for Divorce process. Please guide Muslims to follow The Absolute Truth (The Quran) to save the society.
Our efforts to present so many divorces now taking place will not change the prophecy of the blessed Prophet (peace be on him). Why do you not direct your attention to responding to the questions raised in the video?

Secondly it must be when there's no male in that particular society who hasnt a spot for wife, yani it make more sense if someone is married to his four wife taking fifth in nikkah aint possible, but if there are men who do need nikkah wife can such a marriage still be done? Thirdly (in case of Muslims) since no marriage without walli so how many walli will be approving of this? when they even hinder a Nikkah wife at times on the basis of their dislike.?

You mention a particular and interesting point in your talk about marriage, particularly when mentioning the prophets who had married and you also mention all of them had more than one wife. We all are familiar with what you are saying about other prophets, but you also indicate Jesus Christ (PBUH) to have married more than one wife. I am still learning and just wanted to request if you could possibly elaborate more about who Jesus Christ (PBUH) married or could talk about this specific and important subject in more detail. Things like, what were their names? And where they lived? Or who were they parents?, lineage etc. Thank you, may Allah keep you so you can teach all those who refuse to understand.

Les hommes oublient qu’ils ont une responsabilité envers toutes les femmes de leur famille proche si elles sont célibataires. En revanche il n’oublient jamais de réclamer une part complète de l’héritage et ne laissent que la moitié à leur sœur.
