I've been to the Queen Mary once, many years ago. Sadly, I wasn't aware of the buffet. What an elegant atmosphere indeed. I'd love to go back to try the buffet. What a great interaction with the staff, friend! You have an infectious personality. 😊

Tim Lee no. I’m in BC. Haven’t been to any buffets in the states but will try where you’ve been in Vancouver. I make it there occasionally . I watch on a daily basis. Sometimes more than once. Ha Ha.

Oh my a s! I can't believe how things changed so much! hopeful that things will get back to where they were again; I guess in the meantime, we'll have to be creative and cope with the situation 😉
It is worth a visit, though the cost was a bit on the high side. I also found out that you can actually stay on the QM like a hotel -- but there are comments that it is somewhat haunted :-)

It's a $49 buffet but the extra $30 gets you the champagne, the live music, and the great atmosphere, all of which were experienced in this great video.
I think this is the best places to come and eat coz every people is full of smile and looks welcome with the guest.. Take me there someday coz thats place is like a dream in titanic and i love so much with the dessert..

I’ve attended this buffet many times. The food and service is outstanding and the vibe in that room is amazing. I don’t know if they still have this, but if they do and you can go….DO IT! The Reef is also a great choice.

It was quite a grand ship! I'll definitely pass on the "...king of the world" pose -- although I did see many others doing that at the front of the ship. --gave a bit of a chuckle :-)
wow, i'm impressed that they have sushi besides the usual salmon. i personally love swordfish sushi and sashimi. p.s i love the music choice of the place. a lot of places play horribly noisy songs but this one is so chill.

Another great blog, Tim. Such a regal setting... even the food presentations were beautiful. Ironically, I was out in Orange County in the middle of December, and stayed with a buddy of mine in Long Beach 12/15-16. We drove over to the Queen Mary that Sunday before he dropped me back off near Disneyland for the rest of my trip. Happy New Year!
Thanks again Rick! What a co-incidence! I was there in Long Beach on 12/15 and 12/16 as my friend and I were about to start a cruise! We boarded our cruise on Sunday and would have been at the area. That's when we passed by the QM and thought it would be good to visit after the cruise. Was very happy they had the brunch that day! All the best Rick!
They have a nice breakfast menu too if you don't want to spend $80 bucks. Take a tour of the boat museum if you have time. Its pretty creepy down in the motor room

I never had a chance to visit the tour's because my friend wasn't feeling too well, but definitely want to go back for a visit. Thank you for this information, I've heard the place was haunted and even the staffers that took me around we're a little afraid of walking by themselves, they usually walk in pairs. I would definitely go and tore the motor room and the museum for sure, thank you again :-)

Hi David, actually the Queen Mary was right next to the cruise ship terminal; we just saw it passing by :-) You can actually stay in the Queen Mary, though its mentioned that the place is haunted.. This was one f the last videos filmed on my phone and thank goodness...most of the videos didn't work out and looking forward to start using the osmo. Would you be using it for other videos? By the way, great job on the pancake/greetings video. I watched it again and noticed that you had both hands hard at work cooking, yet the camera was following your movements -- was that from the osmo? Pretty cool!
@@TimLeeLetsGo uhhh Tim why did you have to say that ..when it comes to 👻 stuff I'm like the biggest chicken 💩 ..I still want to try the buffet though 😆 that was from the GoPro 7 black..I had it in my mouth ..I started using the osmo tonight for a Christmas light video so it was ok ..I still prefer the Sony rx100 m6 over it ..I'll post the video next week so you can judge for yourself
LOL -- I actually chickened out of staying there due to some rooms supposedly being haunted -- can always imaging a scene from the horror movies of going to the washroom at night and seeing another face in the mirror :-) so that's how you did the filming! Totally agree that a real camera would be much better! Can't wait we see the next video! Take care!
I visited America 17 years ago when I was 13 and my sister was 15. Along with our parents we visited the spruce goose and the Queen Mary. We were told about the ghost that roams the hallways. It was the one time we wanted to stay close to our parents.
My son and his wife were married on the Queen Mary and their catering is just as amazing….
Tim,I sailed to Canada on the Queen Mary in May of 1946 ! Many wonderful memories! The buffet looks so delicious!❤

wow, i'm impressed that they have sushi besides the usual salmon. i personally love swordfish sushi and sashimi.
p.s i love the music choice of the place. a lot of places play horribly noisy songs but this one is so chill.

Another great blog, Tim. Such a regal setting... even the food presentations were beautiful. Ironically, I was out in Orange County in the middle of December, and stayed with a buddy of mine in Long Beach 12/15-16. We drove over to the Queen Mary that Sunday before he dropped me back off near Disneyland for the rest of my trip. Happy New Year!
Thanks again Rick! What a co-incidence! I was there in Long Beach on 12/15 and 12/16 as my friend and I were about to start a cruise! We boarded our cruise on Sunday and would have been at the area. That's when we passed by the QM and thought it would be good to visit after the cruise. Was very happy they had the brunch that day! All the best Rick!

They have a nice breakfast menu too if you don't want to spend $80 bucks. Take a tour of the boat museum if you have time. Its pretty creepy down in the motor room

I never had a chance to visit the tour's because my friend wasn't feeling too well, but definitely want to go back for a visit. Thank you for this information, I've heard the place was haunted and even the staffers that took me around we're a little afraid of walking by themselves, they usually walk in pairs. I would definitely go and tore the motor room and the museum for sure, thank you again :-)

hi Rod, I believe it's only the Sunday brunch that they have for a buffet. I generally like dinner buffets as well, and I did check. They did not have the dinner buffet ... At least when I was checking. Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙂

Hi David, actually the Queen Mary was right next to the cruise ship terminal; we just saw it passing by :-) You can actually stay in the Queen Mary, though its mentioned that the place is haunted.. This was one f the last videos filmed on my phone and thank goodness...most of the videos didn't work out and looking forward to start using the osmo. Would you be using it for other videos? By the way, great job on the pancake/greetings video. I watched it again and noticed that you had both hands hard at work cooking, yet the camera was following your movements -- was that from the osmo? Pretty cool!
@@TimLeeLetsGo uhhh Tim why did you have to say that ..when it comes to 👻 stuff I'm like the biggest chicken 💩 ..I still want to try the buffet though 😆 that was from the GoPro 7 black..I had it in my mouth ..I started using the osmo tonight for a Christmas light video so it was ok ..I still prefer the Sony rx100 m6 over it ..I'll post the video next week so you can judge for yourself
LOL -- I actually chickened out of staying there due to some rooms supposedly being haunted -- can always imaging a scene from the horror movies of going to the washroom at night and seeing another face in the mirror :-) so that's how you did the filming! Totally agree that a real camera would be much better! Can't wait we see the next video! Take care!
I visited America 17 years ago when I was 13 and my sister was 15. Along with our parents we visited the spruce goose and the Queen Mary. We were told about the ghost that roams the hallways. It was the one time we wanted to stay close to our parents.
