Alone, I couldn't even fathom the thought of such a meal, but with this great TH-cam community and my friend Lois joining, this is a celebration and immensely grateful to get to share this with you.
On our visit to San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, we found a very unique brunch! It's like a buffet, but the items are made to order and plated perfectly to your table. Fine dining mixed with the fun and curiosity of the buffet/AYCE. However, after looking at the price, we did somewhat of a double-take. Priced at $200 - $250 per person (depending on the dates), and an extra $50 per guest for a window seat, we debated long and hard. Perhaps, it was the "revenge travel" after these last two years, or just celebrating that we get to see each other in person, but we decided to indulge; and indulge we did!
Gracious and welcoming hosts like Aura and Jeff made the brunch special as we were guided through a menu exquisite dishes; all of which garnered the muttering of "it's the best I've ever had"... From the beluga caviar taster at the start, to the lobsters and steaks and seafood, all were outstandingly prepared...and to guild the lily a bit more so to speak, shavings of truffles adorned the best egg dish I've encountered.
And just as one could not contemplate eating more, along comes a tower of desserts! You would be satisfied with a coffee and a cookie you say? Well, you don't get to pick and choose unfortunately (or fortunately), they bring each and every dessert item to you! What a nice problem to have.

Two hours seems rushed especially when served with alcohol; four hours seems more enjoyable with a chance to talk and enjoy the food.

@@ebutuoyebutouy I would qualify as TRASH, because I would empty their caviar supplies; drawback I am shamless when I have to pay $250.00 for two hours of eating.
That price.. PLUS the time limit.. PLUS you have to wait on servers to bring your food.. nope... price is not justified in my opinion even tho the food looked and sounded fantastic.. that's still too steep for my books. Thanks for all the work you do showcasing these places. Really appreciate being able to live vicariously through you lol

Cooked to order buffet looks like a winner, the price is pretty extreme but the quality looks fabulous. I would definitely give the whole menu a try! Great to see Lois again!

Sorry but I wasn't impressed with this place. The others you showed imo were much better and not so prentetous. Also, am I the only one who noticed that "lobster" actually looked more like langostino, shrimp.

This buffet used to be self-served before the pandemic, there were a lot more selection and of course it’s always fun to go out and get whatever you want on your own. Sadly, I don’t think they’ll operate the buffet the same as pre covid time😭glad you enjoyed it though!
1 scallop and a bite of Lobster per order? I'm ordering the whole damn Lobster and a dozen scallops and surely thay had Oysters if. Not its a down toot

Great meal with so many great foods, I would prefer a buffet as to being served. Worth the money for expensive foods. So nice to see Lois in your videos as she has some good input and a wonderful personality, great for having her Tim. The last time I went to the Ritz-Carlton was for their high tea in the library. This buffet looks amazing!! Hope you and Lois enjoyed every minute!!
Lovely you and Lois were able to splurge on this meal. The scallops were cooked properly. so often they are cooked too much on the top. Desserts looked beautiful.

Yeah that place is scamming you. That was not beluga caviar. Not for the price they were charging, it doesn't even look right. To say nothing of the fact it wouldn't be served with metal utensils at any restaurant that had any idea what they were doing
That was quite a pricey meal and yeah, I seem to recall they use mother of pearl utensils for the caviar. All in all it was a nice experience, though inexpensive one 😉

Compared to a regular buffet , I’d probably feel bad making the servers work with all the food I order … therefore I probably can’t justify that price tag lol

Never in my or Your life should one pay this much for food 👎👎👎🆘; this place has employees who put their semen in water bottles delivered to guests rooms. LOOK IT UP Disgusting Intolerable and even more so, spending this much when you pass at least 2pm people on the way that you could feed for a week from this kind of over indulgence
Lois consumed 25000 calories...NOW she weighs 950 pounds.
Im kind of practical, when it comes to restaurant prices....my limit for a buffet is $40.00. Maybe no lobster, but should include oyster and some sori of crab...thats just me.

Only once is my life did I have an all you can eat buffet with Beluga caviar. It must have been in the early 1980's. That kilo blue tin had a tablespoon so you could actually serve yourself as much as you wanted. The buffet was around $40. and I am sure I got my moneys worth on caviar alone.
Well, the lady called Lois almost couldn't walk anymore (5:18). Over here in Europe we don't get to see people as big as her too often, whereas it seems to be a common view in America which everybody is used to. You may accuse me of body shaming, but I think it's worse not to point out to her that she needs professionell help if she wants to survive the next few years.

Love your what you do. Stay with the expensive items and stay away from carbs. You then will get your moneys worth. You can eat so much more. Carbs like pasta, breads are your enemy 😊

Caviar and truffles unlimited with a million dollar view and Lois as your dining companion is worth it for a special celebration. I hope you find one place in San Francisco itself to review someday. They're all very good though I still prefer the Nordic for it's charm... It's very down to earth and very inviting there

I got a check to see if they have brought back the self-serve buffet. It was nice having plated dishes, but having a mixed with be nice.
