I would like toad a topcoat with a bit of sparkle, but not change the colour of wood wick. can I amis woodwick with bronce metalic and tclear top coat?

If I put the gold on hardware, do I need to paint it first with a light color?

We find it has better coverage if you use a base colour similar to the metallic you are using. :)
