THE WILD ELEPHANT easy for me to say this, but why is it that no effort was made to reunite this baby elephant with its mother? How can you assume that it was orphaned? Forgive me if I’m wrong.

Can anyone imagine a little four year old lost in the woods and a bunch of elephants trying to save him? Scared not knowing if they were there to help or to harm. All he knows is there are a lot of pushy creatures around him and he knows that's the last place he saw mama...😥 I can only imagine this is how this sweet little soul felt.💕

They are goddamn idiots. They should've been constantly stuffing the little calf's face + trunk full with dung, and rubbing/smearing dung all over the calf's face and body to make it feel happy, warm, and safe during the rescue.

Why are so many baby elephants getting trapped in these wells. I understand these wells are needed. Surely they can make a pathway or elevated steps down into these wells for them to go in and get out. Thank you ALL for rescuing these beautiful animals. Bless you. (They should try put branches into the soil so these babies can get some kind of grip in the ground as it is steep.)

Was there any attempt to find its mother? Breaks my heart to see it so scared and alone.
I guess they were too busy trying to save that baby elephant. We can see it was no easy task
They were probably taking the elephant away from the village.....I guess the mother abandoned it and they know where theyve seen a mother elephant before.....
If the mother is nearby it is fine but if not, the normal thing is to build a small fence for the calf and wait for a few days if its herd or mom would come to take it back, however, it is quite hard to manage the team and there will be risk if other herd come and attack the calf for territory or some reason. Lastly, the calf must be given to heal its own health.

More than anything in the world this baby would have wanted to be reunited with its mother! Was any effort made to find its mother? While I admire and truly appreciate your work, it would be great if we are also given updates on your rescued elephants. 🙏
One of the best rescues I’ve seen .. the local people, wildlife team. everyone involved were truly amazing.. the elephant was so young and tiny but the team showed patience and love ... it must have taken many hours to retrieve the elephant from such a deep well, risking their own lives to physically push the frightened calf up that steep embankment.. it was wonderful.. 🌺🌟🌺..
syrren it's great that they saved the baby , but he had hundreds of people crowding him , which probably scared him even more not knowing what was happening .
Then there's the fact they loaded the baby into a truck instead of locating his family .
Which I'm sure weren't far , in a rescue they'll scare off the herd .
And the mother elephant won't go to far away .
It makes one wonder if they sold the elephant or what happened to her .
Wild animals need to stay wild , not used for our entertainment and someone else's pocket book
