I’m a “soccer” jersey collector and its funny how in soccer the authentic jerseys seek to be as performance driven as they can possible be, claiming that they solely have heatpressed applications to avoid unnecessary distractions. The cheaper replica versions usually go for all the logos stitched. When it comes to US sports, Baseball, NFL, NBA and NHL, the more stitched applications the better. In these NFL jerseys it really is a shame they’re getting rid of these stitched numbers. The kits really look a lot better as they used to be.
most NFL and college football jerseys in the late 70s, 80s and 90s were either screen printed or heat pressed. Baseball has always been stitched. The NBA was always a mixed bag. Stitching made a comeback as the application became stronger, lighter and more flexible to accomodate a tighter fit over pads. A modern authentic NFL jersey is lighter and tougher than the replicas that are heat pressed.
I’ve been a soccer collector for years too; some of the recent América jerseys I have are ‘player’ versions (or the “match issued” version) with everything heat transferred. I’ve noticed that the nfl jerseys they’re selling to the public are going the ‘soccer’ route and becoming as light as possible, which is good for mobility but the ‘stitched’ numbers are what make the limited jerseys worth it.

Man, I wished I watched this video before buying the Christian McCaffrey F.U.S.E. limited jersey. Like you, I was used to the embroidered name and numbers. When I opened the package I honestly thought they sent me the “game” jersey. I looked at the F.U.S.E. jersey details again and I was so disappointed with Nike’s decision and the original price markup as you mentioned. Luckily I was able to get the jersey for 35% off, but still very disappointed in the quality. Thanks for the video!
Same here, I had to go back and check after wearing my jersey for the first time game day yesterday. Had kept it fresh for the season and was so disappointed to learn I’d missed that they’ve made the quality worse. Worse yet, I had two alternative colour scheme ones I ordered that still haven’t arrived which I now no longer am looking forward to getting. Why the hell would they remove the one thing that made the Vapor jersey worth getting, stitched details without the in field cut and fit of the elite jersey. Man I hate monopolies like fanatics, not cuz they can raise the prices but because they can lower their efforts and quality and what can you do.

I'm so glad I clicked on your video about the Nike vapor F.U.S.E updated jerseys. I was planning to buy a vapor FUSE jersey but after hearing the massive down grade I'll try to hunt for a vapor knit jersey from a year or two ago. I'm so glad I still have the previous incarnation of the Nike vapor jersey tho. I took your advice and found a previous vapor jersey from a season or two ago that's on sale for $80. Just got to save enough money and ill be able to buy it.
Man... I was contemplating forking out some money to buy one of those FUSE jerseys. While I don't truly mind whether the numbers are stitched or heat pressed, but if I'm paying that kind of money I would much prefer the stitched name plate and numbers. Thanks for the video!

I agree with everything you said! The only thing I would add is this years limited version is a bigger cut too. About an inch wider and longer than the previous stitched versions. Super disappointed in Nike doing this and raising the price. Let’s hope they go back to a better quality limited jersey next year! Good review.
I got the Jeffrey Simons Oilers throwback FUSE limited jersey. It was before I saw this video. All my previous limited jerseys are stitched and I thought this one would be too. Although I am disappointed, I am going to wait until I receive mine before making any final judgements. This is the first and only video I have found reviewing one.

Others and myself included are spoiled by the stitched limiteds in the past. I think they want more people to get the elites. These limiteds have the same number and name materials as the past limiteds. This video makes the numbers and name look like the game jersey version.

I made the same mistake, BUT I do notice that the jersey cut/fit is better on the F.U.S.E jersey than it is on the regular vapor limited jersey. I agree that it's disappointing that Nike went away from the stitched numbers and name plate. I was lucky enough to get my Parsons stitched jersey and I am returning the F.US.E

The Game jerseys are screen printed onto the jerseys. This one now (limited in 2023) its like a heat sealed graphic. so its like a thin piece that gets slapped onto the jersey

I know there are still embroidered details but damn. And the lower quality jock tag just adds to the narrowed gap between the game and limited. Tbh the game jerseys I think are more comfortable too. It's just a shame they're pricing so many people who want a quality jersey out of the market. No way I'm spending the coin for an elite jersey. They've essentially destroyed the "mid-tier" IMO. I just bought a CMC Niners Alternate Limited FUSE jersey (the '94 color scheme jersey) and the numbers look cheap, low quality and it look like they did a bad job cutting out the numbers because I still see the thin white line on the edges. That was unprofessional. The black on the numbers kind of have a sheen to it. It's not even dark. I have two Fuse jersey a Kittle & CMC alt and my reviews on them are not good. Stick with the game player jersey. They're cheaper. This is not worth the extra $15 increase. Plus these jersey are V-neck compared to the previous jersey. I'm not a big fan of V-neck.

To cop a 2023 jersey with stitched numbers, I'd have to shell out over $500 CAD + shipping and duty for a custom jersey from the states. I just ordered a 2022 limited Tua jersey on sale from the Canadian NFL site for just under $200 CAD. You just saved me 300 bucks man!
Should have went with the Vapor FUSE Elite, if you wanted all the numbers and nameplate sewed on. Not to mention, the feel, look, and fit, is second to none. Especially with the elastic sleeves.

On my Christmas shopping an item was a NFL jersey, so I ended up picking up a Vapor F.U.S.E Limited Jersey for $112 for thanksgiving sale, there a local shop here that can finish the jersey and add the stitching for $50, so $112 plus $50 is till lot cheaper than buying a Elite version for $300

It’s been like that since jerseys started to become marketed; like when Russell made stitched jerseys. The Elite is more for framing and putting in your setup rather than for wearing. I’m glad I came across this video. As a Bucs fan I was gonna get the throwback Vapor FUSE jersey. Although I prefer Nike Game jerseys because of the looser fit I just purchased my first Vapor Limited jersey. I love it. But if I was gonna pay nearly $200 I expect the name and numbers to be stitched.

I have an old Patrick Willis Jersey stitche version and now the numbers started to have bubble inside. Maybe that's why they heat press it now because of that issue?
Love the video! So is the fit same in Limited Vapor Untouchable and in this new Vapor FUSE? How different is that heat sealed lettering compared to print screened? I ask this because I have one Nike Game jersey and the print screened lettering isn't high quality and I get the feeling that it will start to crease or otherwise fall apart soon.
have you worn any NBA jerseys? the Heat pressed has like a vinyl cut thats layered on the jersey. They do tend to crease depending on how you care for it
@@JerseyConnect7 Hmm... in recent years my NBA jerseys have been M&N throwbacks with stitched numbers, letters and logos. I had one NBA jersey back in the days with pressed or screenprinted logo and numbers/letters and that logo started to crease a little bit with time.
Thank you for making this video, it definitely educated me on the differences between the jerseys. I’m looking to buy a Lamar Jackson Vapor Limited jersey (not the Vapor FUSE) but I notice on NFL shop the item reads “Men's Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson Nike Black Speed Machine Limited Jersey”. I’m not sure what difference Speed Machine is supposed to make. Seems like no other player jersey has that title. I do notice in the details that it isn’t made with Dri-Fit material like other Ravens players limited jerseys are and is also 100% recycled polyester not 100% polyester like the others are also. If you get a chance to help me answer this question I’d appreciate it!
The speed machine jerseys have different seams and construction. That's how the ravens on field jerseys were in previous years. It's more similar to the old limited jerseys and game jersey construction with sewn on numbers vs the vapor jersey with the seam in the back.
I noticed the vapor Fuse limited fit me smaller than my other Nike jersey’s I have with the stitched numbers. I have to size up to a XL on these new ones instead of my regular Large.

The fuse Tech actually pretty durable the numbers can take claw marks fromy 80 lb Americans Staffordshires, and it never scratches. Seriously the old models are better but the quality is not cheaper, had mine for a few years snd its still a1 and trust me my dog plays rough.

Thank you for the post. I saw the new jersies at a store and thought they didn't look right. So I didn't buy. The quality just looks crappy compared to previous years. Maybe if they have significantly lower sales, Nike will get the picture and bring back the stitched jersies.

I live in Sacramento Ca and there was raider shop at the mall that had boy one half off get one free Derek Carr vapor fuse limited from last year! so both jerseys are stitched names and numbers!
Honestly as a bigger dude (6’2 300) I feel that this years fuse has a longer looser fit, while last years limited had more of a tee shirt boxy fit which i didn’t like. I understand the quality issue but for me if the fit is better, and I can get it on coupon (which I did for $120) I’m rolling with the FUSE.
It's weird I always thought the photos looked heat pressed, I finally ordered a St. Brown jersey the other day and it's shipping right now... the description says "Embroidered team details" which should be his name and number, the fact that it says that and if it ends up not being I guess is ample cause for a return/refund though... guess I'll find out in a few days lol. I made sure it said embroidered before ordering but if I don't like it maybe I'll return it... I got a good deal, $113 because they had 35% off the other day so maybe I'll keep it either way.

I’ve noticed that the nfl jerseys they’re selling to the public are going the ‘soccer’ route and becoming as light as possible, which is good for mobility but the ‘stitched’ numbers are what make the limited jerseys worth it.

Man, I wished I watched this video before buying the Christian McCaffrey F.U.S.E. limited jersey. Like you, I was used to the embroidered name and numbers. When I opened the package I honestly thought they sent me the “game” jersey. I looked at the F.U.S.E. jersey details again and I was so disappointed with Nike’s decision and the original price markup as you mentioned. Luckily I was able to get the jersey for 35% off, but still very disappointed in the quality. Thanks for the video!
Same here, I had to go back and check after wearing my jersey for the first time game day yesterday. Had kept it fresh for the season and was so disappointed to learn I’d missed that they’ve made the quality worse.
Worse yet, I had two alternative colour scheme ones I ordered that still haven’t arrived which I now no longer am looking forward to getting.
Why the hell would they remove the one thing that made the Vapor jersey worth getting, stitched details without the in field cut and fit of the elite jersey.

I'm so glad I clicked on your video about the Nike vapor F.U.S.E updated jerseys. I was planning to buy a vapor FUSE jersey but after hearing the massive down grade I'll try to hunt for a vapor knit jersey from a year or two ago. I'm so glad I still have the previous incarnation of the Nike vapor jersey tho. I took your advice and found a previous vapor jersey from a season or two ago that's on sale for $80. Just got to save enough money and ill be able to buy it.

I agree with everything you said! The only thing I would add is this years limited version is a bigger cut too. About an inch wider and longer than the previous stitched versions. Super disappointed in Nike doing this and raising the price. Let’s hope they go back to a better quality limited jersey next year! Good review.

I got the Jeffrey Simons Oilers throwback FUSE limited jersey. It was before I saw this video. All my previous limited jerseys are stitched and I thought this one would be too. Although I am disappointed, I am going to wait until I receive mine before making any final judgements. This is the first and only video I have found reviewing one.

Others and myself included are spoiled by the stitched limiteds in the past. I think they want more people to get the elites. These limiteds have the same number and name materials as the past limiteds. This video makes the numbers and name look like the game jersey version.

I made the same mistake, BUT I do notice that the jersey cut/fit is better on the F.U.S.E jersey than it is on the regular vapor limited jersey. I agree that it's disappointing that Nike went away from the stitched numbers and name plate. I was lucky enough to get my Parsons stitched jersey and I am returning the F.US.E

The Game jerseys are screen printed onto the jerseys. This one now (limited in 2023) its like a heat sealed graphic. so its like a thin piece that gets slapped onto the jersey

I know there are still embroidered details but damn. And the lower quality jock tag just adds to the narrowed gap between the game and limited. Tbh the game jerseys I think are more comfortable too. It's just a shame they're pricing so many people who want a quality jersey out of the market. No way I'm spending the coin for an elite jersey. They've essentially destroyed the "mid-tier" IMO. I just bought a CMC Niners Alternate Limited FUSE jersey (the '94 color scheme jersey) and the numbers look cheap, low quality and it look like they did a bad job cutting out the numbers because I still see the thin white line on the edges. That was unprofessional. The black on the numbers kind of have a sheen to it. It's not even dark. I have two Fuse jersey a Kittle & CMC alt and my reviews on them are not good. Stick with the game player jersey. They're cheaper. This is not worth the extra $15 increase. Plus these jersey are V-neck compared to the previous jersey. I'm not a big fan of V-neck.

To cop a 2023 jersey with stitched numbers, I'd have to shell out over $500 CAD + shipping and duty for a custom jersey from the states. I just ordered a 2022 limited Tua jersey on sale from the Canadian NFL site for just under $200 CAD. You just saved me 300 bucks man!
Should have went with the Vapor FUSE Elite, if you wanted all the numbers and nameplate sewed on. Not to mention, the feel, look, and fit, is second to none. Especially with the elastic sleeves.

On my Christmas shopping an item was a NFL jersey, so I ended up picking up a Vapor F.U.S.E Limited Jersey for $112 for thanksgiving sale, there a local shop here that can finish the jersey and add the stitching for $50, so $112 plus $50 is till lot cheaper than buying a Elite version for $300

It’s been like that since jerseys started to become marketed; like when Russell made stitched jerseys. The Elite is more for framing and putting in your setup rather than for wearing. I ask this because I have one Nike Game jersey and the print screened lettering isn't high quality and I get the feeling that it will start to crease or otherwise fall apart soon.
have you worn any NBA jerseys? the Heat pressed has like a vinyl cut thats layered on the jersey. They do tend to crease depending on how you care for it

Thank you for making this video, it definitely educated me on the differences between the jerseys. I’m looking to buy a Lamar Jackson Vapor Limited jersey (not the Vapor FUSE) but I notice on NFL shop the item reads “Men's Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson Nike Black Speed Machine Limited Jersey”. I’m not sure what difference Speed Machine is supposed to make. Seems like no other player jersey has that title. I do notice in the details that it isn’t made with Dri-Fit material like other Ravens players limited jerseys are and is also 100% recycled polyester not 100% polyester like the others are also. If you get a chance to help me answer this question I’d appreciate it!
The speed machine jerseys have different seams and construction. That's how the ravens on field jerseys were in previous years. It's more similar to the old limited jerseys and game jersey construction with sewn on numbers vs the vapor jersey with the seam in the back.
I noticed the vapor Fuse limited fit me smaller than my other Nike jersey’s I have with the stitched numbers. I have to size up to a XL on these new ones instead of my regular Large.

The fuse Tech actually pretty durable the numbers can take claw marks fromy 80 lb Americans Staffordshires, and it never scratches. Seriously the old models are better but the quality is not cheaper, had mine for a few years snd its still a1 and trust me my dog plays rough.

Honestly as a bigger dude (6’2 300) I feel that this years fuse has a longer looser fit, while last years limited had more of a tee shirt boxy fit which i didn’t like.
I understand the quality issue but for me if the fit is better, and I can get it on coupon (which I did for $120) I’m rolling with the FUSE.

It's weird I always thought the photos looked heat pressed, I finally ordered a St. Brown jersey the other day and it's shipping right now... the description says "Embroidered team details" which should be his name and number, the fact that it says that and if it ends up not being I guess is ample cause for a return/refund though... guess I'll find out in a few days lol.
I made sure it said embroidered before ordering but if I don't like it maybe I'll return it... I got a good deal, $113 because they had 35% off the other day so maybe I'll keep it either way.

Alright, well maybe back in the day the Vikings jerseys were heat pressed and they kept it authentic. Nope. Came across an Elite jersey today and saw the stitching, did some digging and came across your video. Very disappointed in Nike. Didn’t realize they made this idiotic decision.
