Rubicon Trail - Vol 1 - Packing Up, Driving Down

- Mac, Jessica and Chris, all friends from WranglerTJForum.com, wheel the historic Rubicon Trail in California. This is the first time for Mac and Jessica, and our 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ.
We start off packing up the Jeep trying to shed weight and keep the load light.
Then we drive 9 hours south to Sacramento. In an open top Jeep. We start off with 50 degree temperatures at home, in Oregon and end up in 105 degree temperatures in Sacramento.
We turn left on Ice House Road, head to the trailhead, find a campsite at Loon Lake and find a Chris, and lose a Chris. And pick up some trash along the way...of course!
Next morning we're up early, we hit the trail and run the gatekeeper obstacle...we're timid at first and it takes a little to get going...but down the trail we go!
