165 - XPlane View Adjustments......Not Again !

With the TV's now installed I realised that given I have increased the height a little and made some other dimensional adjustments, all (3) views need to be completely reset both in XPlane and FS2020.
Let's start with XPlane..............

When I am tweaking a plane, I often select "Reload the Current Aircraft and Art" from the "Developer" menu in X-Plane after I make a PlaneMaker change, keeping both X-Plane and PlaneMaker up. This saves some time, avoiding constant X-Plane restarts.
Thanks buddy. You know I have never actually noticed that in XPlane. Will give it a try. Definately would save some time as you say.

By the way, if you have your monitors at different resolutions you may notice artifacts when looking into clouds or over water
cheers mate. I actually am now running all 3 at native 4K. Suprisingly, the FPS isnt that bad.........benchmarking videos to come in future posts
@CessSim nice. That's surprising. But I guess it's a fairly simple aircraft and you tend to fly in sparse locations. I can barely run 2 screens on my PC with something like the Boeing 737 at EGLL airport with AI planes loaded. Though that's quite forwards planning. I intend to initially learn to fly in the 172. Probably the steam guage version first, then the G1000 later. I've been testing with 5 screens today. One at 4k, three at 1440p and one at 1080p. That's using three PCs to drive it. Its a strange mix, and certainly not as tidy looking as having 3 large TVs. Mine is set up on a desk though and needs to be used for work most of the time.
@@flightsimdeskuk Yes. I am a little surprised as well. I will be running some benchmarking soon to test this out more fully but I was a little surprised. Having said that I have dialled back some of the graphics settings given the 4K resolution (ie native resolution set in XP for all monitors)
Quick question... by changing vertical and pitch positions of the cowling, do you also experiment changes in the flight-model of the Skyhawk? Just wondering if basically changing the views also change the flight characteristics... Thanks.
not to my knowledge. Changing the visible model does not affect the physics as this is determined through other settings within XPlane that I do not touch.......
Hello. Im interested im making a frame work for my sim. Also trying to adjust some objects. I would like to remove the pillars within the cockpit view ao i can just see where the wing connect. , however when i do this i get a white backgroud where the pillars were. Could you advise. Thank you
