A nice business class product. But to call this first class in today's market is a stretch. Any product in which I have to climb over my seat mate to get out is not first class.
If you saw the seats, you can see that you do not have to climb over anyone to get to the aisle as there is plenty of room to get by the seat next to you.
@@LordJupiter1 No there isn't. If you are in the window seat and the person in the aisle seat has their seat turned into a bed, you would have to step over them to get out.
It is basically the same hard product that is offered by La Compagnie, but at least La Compagnie doesn’t use an old narrow noisy Boeing 757 anymore but a modern quiet and wider Airbus A321neoLR. But I have to admit food on thus flight here is really first class.
Yep, since the Qantas 4 class video, every single one lacks any integrity. I guess money's tight or else someone's being greedy. Maybe it has something to do with the US branch failing, and the rebranding of the channels not doing too well either.
Going to have to agree that this is looking like Premium Economy with perks. The seat configuration is seriously holding back this product from anything more than "entry level" Business class.
Really liked this review but agree that it is not really first class travel. Food looks amazing for sure and service seems to be exceptional. Depending on the length of the flight I would be happy to not have to get up and wander around too much. Would have loved to have seen some more about the actual destinations on the journey. Look forward to following your adventures.
Usually love the videos from this channel but this was a miss for me. Not really sure how this would be classed as a private jet, if there are other passengers on it then it's just a regular commercial flight. Also those seats resemble Premium Economy, a far cry from Business Class and definitely not anywhere near First. This whole video just seems like a paid ad unfortunately. Edit: just seen that the seats are able to lie flat, which is great but still doesn't make them first class
Even though I read the title correctly as this video is all about first class, but it just feels like your in a business class when there's less privacy over the seats.
Thanks for the amazing tour. Such a beautiful plane to fly on. I was missing a tour of the in flight entertainment system and Liam but still just an outstanding flight. Always a bonus when the crew seem to be happy at their jobs. Thank you Abercrombie and Kent for the experience.
Somewhat of a charade dude. Looks like an ex Emirates ride ? That was an upscale Business Class product AND that bus ride to the plane was next level !! No thank you. An epic fail.
I’d say that was more like a ten year old business class seat at best. The seat control panel looked cracked. No in flight entertainment screens? Flying around the world on that may be a little boring over the 25 day tour. That said, I’ll just download content onto my iPad and rough it (😂) as it would be amazing to travel around the world on that jet and see all those sights 👌
Question if u have a window seat and needs sto use the restroom but person next to u has their seat in bed mode n they are passed out do u crawl over them lol how do u get to the aisle in that situation just curious
It’s only 40… Just do it, it’s not much better than economy and it still don’t recline but it’s still much better than their economy… Piece of garbage airline anyways…. Big front seats you still have to pay for coke😅
A key question is whether The Points Guy paid for this flight or whether it was a freebie from the charter airline. As the fare isn’t mentioned, I’m guessing it was complimentary, in which case there should really be a disclaimer in the video as when you pay for it out of your own money it’s different to being given the experience for free (as you may not be as critical in reviewing the product). 🤔 (The fare clearly isn’t $165k as Nicky mentions that’s how much flights can cost … it’s not for this particular flight)
Four seasons offer the same and theirs also includes staying at Four Seasons Hotel. It’s a good hard product, it’s the service that makes it first class.
Nicky seems to get all the good gigs :) Looked like a business/first product (seat business, food first). I wonder how much it cost - or would cost. 1 min or so is very slow for call bell challenge. So no-one sat next to Nicky...but they made up the bed anyway.
It's weird, it reminded me of when I got upgraded to first class on South African airways, maybe 25 years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a fantastic experience, but things have moved on, and even the old BA club world business class seems to give you more space from your neighbour. Just an impression.
It looks lovely, but it's for a niche market - rich, retired couples with loads of $$$ who don't mind arguing over who gets the window seat...SQ is a better product and just business class. This has a market but it's not for people like Nicky really - it's for the cruise crowd who don't have the time for a world cruise type thing. IMO. Still looks very nice and swanky etc
At first I was wondering why the comments were hating on this video, then I looked it up more and couldn't agree more with comments. Idgaf if it's an around the world "air cruiseship" $165k/person is not a price that can be justified by any metric. Mind you I manage travel for the C-suite of a $165+ million organization and I am constantly booking or advising staff responsible for booking first class tickets. The avg cost of a refundable changeable first class transcontinental flight for the lower 48 is $1800. In the transatlantic market it's $2800 or so. And transpacific its about $4k with sufficient timing. So you'd need to take either: A: 91.7 transcontinental flights B: 58.9 transatlantic flights C: 41.3 transpacific flights from the east coast of the USA (BOS) to make up for 1 "around the world" flight on Abercrombie & Kent. If we made things whole number to keep it simple that is: 92 transcontinental flights at 2,605 US miles each (total = 239,660 miles) Or 59 transatlantic flights at 3,257 miles (total = 193,225 miles) Or 41 transpacific flights at 6,705 miles (total = 274,906 miles) for 1, 24,901 mile flight (total = 24,701 miles)
Nicky sure had his happy pill before boarding. A tad too cherry to me. And I agree with those comments that downplayed this experience as truly first class.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but the fact it still comes on a tray seems a bit disappointing. Even in business on Qatar they will lay your table and then arrive with just the plated dishes. It makes the meals feel more like an occasion.
Have to climb over your seat mate to get out 59 seconds for the Flight attendent to come No privacy wall Not much space Okayish seat No big screen like Emirates 29 inch TV No personal greeting Bus ride to the plane? No gate and No Mercedes S-Class? Even the toiletries look normal compared to Emirates or Singapore Airlines I think it's just a over paid, premium economy and I'll take Emirates First Class over this any day
165 grand vs 12+ business class flights on other airlines? I don't see it. I'd also rather save 140 grand and fly first class on Qantas or something. This is ridiculous, sorry but it is. That's barely business class by 2024 standards.
That did not sell me. It sure was nice but those seats! No PJ’s and zero privacy/direct aisle access. Looked to me like an older business class product. I watch these for your presentation style and very much enjoy it but that left me totally scratching my head.
Nice. but even Virgin Atlantic Upper Class (old and new configs) doesn't have seats next to them. Definitely not First Class, more like an all Business Class flight.
Well, I was going to say something , but everybody else is mirroring my thoughts. I'll add one thing. You get what looked like a standard bus from the airport to the plane!!!!!! mmmm. I didn't care for the set up when I first saw it and nothings changed. Better first class products much cheaper elsewhere.
Mediocre at best, it’s an awful pity this channel is going down the Sam Chui route. It’s just a glorified advert. Nothing first class about the product or the review frankly.
Since the Qantas 4 class video, every single video seems to lack any integrity. I guess money's tight or else someone's being greedy. Maybe it has something to do with the US branch failing, and the rebranding of the channels not doing too well either. Service took things to the next level? LOL. Longer call bell, and say as if it is special to be checked up on in business / first. As if ME carriers don't do that. Such a bad (outdated) hard product, nothing really good in food, and even the bedding seemed low quality. Most PE pillows are fluffier than that tiny pillow and thin liner. Also, as nice as it may be to fly a 757-2 for a AvGeek, that's a helly noisy plane for a "first class luxury" experience.
Isn’t really first class compared to a lot of business class products. At that price point, I’d expect something better now - even Qatars Q suite or Nippon’s the room greatly surpass this. They can easily refurbish this aircraft.
Just an advertorial. If one of the big European carriers had that as their business class product, TH-camrs would be saying how awful it was... An old iPad for watching movies, really?
Sorry, but this comes across more as a marketing promotion than a review. That is simply not first class. The soft product is on a par with the better business classes that I have flown, but the hard product is decidedly middling even in business class terms. The 2-2 configuration is an instant deal breaker for a single traveller. Even for a couple, it is inferior to the middle section of a 1-2-1 business class. Don't get me wrong, it's decent. But it's not fantastic. The effusive praise is over the top.
A nice business class product. But to call this first class in today's market is a stretch. Any product in which I have to climb over my seat mate to get out is not first class.
Agree with that verdict
If you saw the seats, you can see that you do not have to climb over anyone to get to the aisle as there is plenty of room to get by the seat next to you.

This plane will be day flights only - it goes from luxury hotel to luxury hotel like the Four Seasons jet
Looks like QATAR Business class plus some caviar. Altogether , just an ad for Abercrombie & Kent with Nicky eating as usual.
You mean looking like "old " Business Class😅
The PGs seem to be competing with Sam Chui for most fawning reviews these days. Hopefully the airlines are paying them well.
If you booked a first class ticket on any normal airline and got those seats, you'd be disappointed. This is a business class seat, at best.
It looked like the emirates 777 business class
At least the seats are fully flat what is not the case on many Emirates 777 .
I love the way you're "hyping" it up as its a freebe - its business class, hardly first class
The recent videos just feel like barely concealed adverts.
I usually like their content, but this one feels so exaggerated. Like oooo, look at this wooden toilet seat. Come on!
Yep, since the Qantas 4 class video, every single one lacks any integrity. I guess money's tight or else someone's being greedy. Maybe it has something to do with the US branch failing, and the rebranding of the channels not doing too well either.
Thats exactly what they are... The Airline doesn't give them a free trip for nothing 😅
The fact that these videos aren’t marked #ad does not create an impression of integrity (at best)
Going to have to agree that this is looking like Premium Economy with perks. The seat configuration is seriously holding back this product from anything more than "entry level" Business class.

Whether it was first or business, I'm just glad that Nicky wasn't stuck in coach for once.
Always love your enthusiasm, great way to start the day !
Videos of these private Jet vacations are extremely rare so i am happy to see this today. Somebody already did a 4 seasons one, hopefully TCS is next.
I would absolutely love to do this flight! Thanks for showing it to us with your gorgeous style
Always wanted to see a BTS for this! Such a fun and interesting vid :)
What an awesome trip! ❤ should have taken Liam with you!
SO EPIC! A PRIVATE JET!! 🛩️ 😊
Cheers 🥂 mate!
Looked like a FABULOUS & EXQUISITE EXPERIENCE!

Also, please check out my channnel Caleb’s Aviation I’d appreciate it.
Can you review Spirit Big Front seat? Wanna see if it’s worth the $40 upgrade on my trip this summer

Great video, need more from you like this
Looks a lovely flight - thanks for sharing your insights and experiences. Stay well and positive. Hello from Auckland, New Zealand : - )

What an amazingly nuts experience
You are taking the piss, right? A late April fool? Private jets only tend to have people you know on them, otherwise it’s just a basic business class.
Yeah, this is not a first class product. This felt like a paid commercial rather than a legit review. There is nothing first class about the product.
He is totally hyping it to the sky

$165,000...
@@HyperDaveUK He didn't do the whole trip...perhaps you can't do this normally

Ah the dream! Great vid 😊
That aircraft was here in malta a few weeks ago!!! I was on ramp when it came in!!
Have fun I wish I could fly first class like you

Can you call it a private jet if there are other random members of the public on board?
Pity no longer the Concorde is in service ... I flew it from New York to London. Now THAT was First Class!
First class and you’re right next to somebody, I don’t think so! Wouldn’t even be happy with it as business class
I swear Nicky has the best job in the world! Wouldn't mind swapping my 9-5 for that.
Nice, and you know when you are talking about the lamb your accent gets thicker 🙂
I do love a 757.

Godzila vs kong a good felm for this kind of flight . 🐉
Those seats have no privacy at all and appear a bit on the narrow side. The in-flight service however looks fantastic.
Sorrry but that is an aged old interior and certainly is not FIRST class
