I have a question. I've listened to Burmese since I was a child (without understanding it well). It seems when Burmese speak quickly, the particles 'ka' and 'ko' and maybe others lose their consonant at the front. Is this true? I only sometimes hear my friends say "ka" with the k sound.

For now let me explain briefly for those pronouns နင် - you (usually used with your friends of same age, or younger people with whom you don't need to be polite) နင့် is possessive pronoun for နင် သင် - you - usually used written form (formal) သင့် is possessive pronoun for သင် ရှင် - you (usually used by a woman to address a man (eg. her husband)) but not limited to that. Can also be used by a woman to address other women depending on the context ကျွန်တော် - I - used by males to address themselves, polite and can be used in daily life ကျွန်ုပ် - I - used in the past mostly by males, not used nowadays, or can be used in written Burmese (formal)
