  • I played this piece very poorly here.....and this is why....
when I originally "learned" it I would immediately move on to the next part after I had played the part I just "learned" properly a few times.
it just doesn't work that way, at least for me!
you have to keep going over the difficult parts over and over again until they become almost second nature..
    then you're getting somewhere!

That`s what I´m trying to do, taking a song that`s too hard for my actual abilities and then I dig my teeth into it until I can play it (sort of ;)). Great video!

"Nothing's hard, just unfamiliar." That is so true, really good advice, Dieter. Best mindset to have, right there! Keep at it and it the tune will be as easy as stealing candy from a baby!

Yup. Working on a piano piece right now (Opus 23). Two Weak sections get 80 per cent of my effort.

Great information Dieter. Guess we got to get that muscle memory working good.

That's ridiculous!!! That is NOT the theme song for "Bonanza".

You got me.....I'm sure it's exactly how I remembered it with the map of the ponderosa spinning in circles and flames and big Hoss in his ten gallon white hat! Only today "little Joe" would be called "little woke Mo".
